we've renovated two other homes from top to bottom but nothing to the extent of this project. We remodeled and repaired everything in this 40 year-old home except for three rooms in this house.

was referred to us with high recommendations from our realtor. Jerimy
Irvine Insulation Contractors Provider Name Locked
is the owner/operator of this company and he is honest, hardworking and takes pride in his workmanship. He looked after all the permits with the City, the headaches with the Homeowner's Association and started this project off on the right foot. We built a 2nd story addition over the garage, a 1st story addition in the entrance and created a grand foyer, which increased our living space by just under 700 square feet.
We just bought a home that had been flipped by an investor who "remodeled" the home by using cheap granite and just resurfaced the kitchen cabinets by putting another coat of paint on the door but left the 1970's interior intact. We decided to rip everything out except for the hardwood floors and build an addition over the garage to gain two more bedrooms and a bathroom, along with an addition to extend the foyer and den. This was an engineering feat because of all the footings we had to put in to support the 2nd story addition and removing load bearing walls to make the kitchen an open-concept design. Our real estate agent recommended Jerimy

, who worked with us from start to finish by recommending a competent structural engineer/architect, getting all the permits and dealing with the Home Owner's Association on my behalf. What I liked about this contractor was that they did all the work themselves vs. hiring a bunch of subcontractors, came on time every day 7:30-4:30 and cleaned up everything each day. My neighbors would come over and always comment on how they appreciated our house not looking like an eyesore, unlike most other construction sites.
Irvine Insulation Contractors Provider Name Locked
guarantees all workmanship and I've appreciated working with Jerimy and his crew because they are honest and respectful of the home that they are working in ( I've experienced 6+ contractors who have smoked inside our other homes, defiled the restrooms, and ruined our linens while wiping their under-washed hands). I would recommend
Irvine Insulation Contractors Provider Name Locked
because I plan on using them again for future home projects. This is a relationship I'd like to keep whereas in the past, I used to always say, "good riddance!" after a project was completed by my other contractors.

Our house suffered a pipe burst under the kitchen sink that ruined the walls to our kitchen and the kitchen cabinets. In the process of removing the damaged cabinets, we also found a slab leak. We decided to do a complete re-pipe instead of an area repair because we plan to stay in the house. We shopped for quotes from plumbers and general contractors. The most expensive quote we got was from a plumber, and the least expensive quote we got was from a specialized plumbing company that only did re-pipe jobs.

gave us an estimate that was in the middle of the price range of the other 4 written estimates we got. We decided on

because he was knowledgeable and was able to discuss how to maintain our house's frame strength during the re-plumbing process. We were also concerned about minimizing the risk from the lead used in the soldered joints of the original plumbing of our house.

was able to address our concerns about how to maintain the safety of our house.

estimated the project would require the water to be shut off for 3 days, and that finishing detail work would require an additional 2 days. He also warned that the project could face unexpected delays because when you open the walls to a house you often come across unpredictable complications.

and his crew did the following steps: -Dug a trench in the front yard to install a new line from the water supply in the street to the house. -Install new shut off valves so that the landscape sprinklers can be operated separately from the plumbing in the house. -Install pressure regulator. -Opened drywall in ceilings and walls in the areas where the new pipe would need to be installed. -Cut away pipe coming from the concrete foundation. -Design a new pipe layout utilizing 3/4" pipe in a way to maximize the water pressure before the water flows into 1/2' pipe that supplies the fixtures. -Install the new pipe. This is the biggest part of the project. It required two 12-hour days. -Enforce wood studs that had to be structurally modified to fit the new pipe. This included putting in Strong-Tie steel stud repair parts, and installing a new

wall in the kitchen. -Insulate the pipe with foam insulation. -In the process there was a leak found an upstairs bathtub drain. This bathtub drain was replaced. Throughout the process,
Irvine Insulation Contractors Provider Name Locked
tried to minimize the mess caused by the laying down drop cloths and putting up plastic sheeting to isolate dust inside room. Also, because our house was built in 1979, the solder in the old pipe joints was 50% lead, so when possible these pipe joints were sawed away and replace with new joints. Where the old joints could not be removed without creating structural damage,
Irvine Insulation Contractors Provider Name Locked
was careful not to let the joints get heated in the soldering process so that lead fumes would not be released. Now in our house, water pressure is excellent, even when multiple baths and the kitchen are being used

came out to give me an estimate on making my home more energy efficient. He looked around and made suggestions on how to lower our utility bills. I decided that a full upgrade was outside of my budget at the moment, but when I do decide to upgrade my home I will use HealthHomes4U because they are professional, on-time, trust-worthy and very informative. I was thankful for the time
Irvine Insulation Contractors Provider Name Locked
spent with me going over cost vs benefits of individual items as well as cost and savings of the overall upgrade. I also really liked that they have non-caustic wall insulation foam that won't put toxic chemicals into the house and do more harm than good. And the Aeroseal product that allows for duct insulation/sealing from the inside of the system, instead of tearing through my walls and attic looking for leaks. The less tearing apart of the house the sooner life can get back to normal after renovations.
I also appreciated that even though they are window distributors they did not try to push the windows, they explained that there is a huge
Irvine Insulation Contractors Provider Name Locked
up in window units and that the companies make big money on the sales and that it's actually not that helpful to the overall energy saving of the house. That if you are on a budget trying to get the most bang for your buck, you should go for insulating the walls, attics and ducts as that is where the most energy can be kept from leaving the house and save the most money. They took a look at my water heater and AC unit and told me both systems are larger than what I actually need for the square footage of my home and that I could save money on monthly utilities with smaller units, but it would not be worth the replacement cost as they are still in good condition (So in the future, when they eventually break, I won't be sold more than what I need for the size of my home because someone is trying to make a bigger sale- Knowledge is power). Like I said, I decided that now is not the best time financial for me to invest in home improvement,
Irvine Insulation Contractors Provider Name Locked
was really nice about it and did not charge me for the consultation. When I do have the budget for upgrades I will use this company, but until then I recommend them to those looking for immediate improvements.
I always appreciate a straight shooting contractor and as they are a rare find- I thought I would share my learning experience with the community. I hope your experience is as positive as mine.

was very responsive, gave us great customer service and filled out our gas bill rebate form for us. It was an easy experience and his prices were comparable to 3 other quotes I received.

Very well. We started with an aggressive schedule and even with a few surprises, Ed
Irvine Insulation Contractors Provider Name Locked
got the major amount of work done on schedule. While the budget went up a bit (as it often does during a big job), every item was either a reasonable response to issues uncovered during the process or work added by us as we went along.
We are very very happy with the final product and feel secure the craftsmanship will last us a long time.
