Flooring reviews in Fremont

I sent an e-mail through Angie's list and did not receive a response after a week had passed. I called and left a message and NEVER heard back from anyone.

The design and construction process went well. They finished the job in a timely manner. We thought everything was perfect. Fast forward a little less than two years, and we started having issues. We noticed problems with our hardwood floors on the other side of the bathroom wall. There was definitely some leaking going on! At first the owner, denied our claim. We mentioned "latent defect" and he changed his tune. He ended placing the blame on the shower

manufacturer. We think it was the faulty installation of the entire shower system. He had to tear out the entire shower to replace the

. Another two years go buy and the (expensive!) shower valve in the wall started leaking, I replaced that. The custom built vanity finish has not worn well, it doesn't look very good. I've had to replace the exhaust fan twice since the job was completed. I would look for another contractor to do any work for you. I cannot recommend

In a word -- terrible. While the salesman
Fremont Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was very nice and was very accomodating in coming over to give us an estimate in the evening, it was all downhill from there. The installers showed up on a Wednesday to do the install. I let them into the house then I had to go to work. I left specific instructions for them to call me on my cellphone should they have questions or concerns. They did call but only to communicate when they were going to be finished (so I could arrange to meet them back at the house). When I looked at the work they did, I was not impressed at all. There were two major issues -- they stratched the paint off my newly painted baseboards about every 4", and the carpet did not touch the baseboards in places. I was told by the workmen that I needed to speak to the salesman
Fremont Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
to deal with my complaints and he was not in until Thursday.
Fremont Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was good and escalated to
Fremont Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
the owner. Here is where it started to get really bad. While
Fremont Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
said he would "do whatever it took to make me happy" (which I admit sounded reassuring), he did not like my suggestion -- They get the baseboards repainted AND install the carpet properly. His foreman came out to look at the issue and one of the first things out of his mouth was "you have to expect some minor damage to your baseboards, didn't you read the small print?" Starting a conversation this way did not get us off to a good start. After that meeting
Fremont Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
said I could choose only (1) a fix to the carpet or (2) have them cover the cost of repainting the baseboards. I was irritated as my expectation was since they damaged the baseboards AND did a poor job, they would cover all costs.
Fremont Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
said that he would not be able to do that as "there is not much overhead in carpet". My opinion is if they had done it right the first time they wouldn't have had to pay for any fixes! Anyway, I was schedudled to move into this house the next day (!) so I took what I could get -- I had them come back in a fix the carpet that didn't reach the baseboards (I paid the painters cash out of my own pocket to fix the baseboards). Without even telling the carpet guys where the problems were they went right the affected areas. They put a small strip of carpet beneath the problem areas. Probably took 20 minutes to do it. My question is: since the workman could clearly see there was a problem, why didn't they get it right the first time? Also, they had my cell phone number - why didn't they call me so we could discuss options? Also, most notably, there was absolutely no damage to my touched-up baseboards during this visit. Why is that? Clearly because they were being careful because I was watching them. If they would have been careful from the beginning we could have avoided this whole thing!! In summary I was very very unhappy with

carpet and how they treated me. The day before I was to move in to my new house (this is suppoosed to be one of the happiest days of your life, right?) I spent it with a painter (to do the touchups) and then the afternoon was partially spent babysitting these carpet guys. My pregnant wife did the packing while I dealt with all this! Lastly, I am going to try and upload picture of both the baseboard damage and the sloppy carpet install. I am not sure how to do that but I will try -- I think everyoen needs to see the type of damage they say is acceptable and what they

as a professional installation. PS -- The painters who installed the baseboards -- per the specification of
Fremont Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
-- did a very professional job. I say this as I am sure if
Fremont Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
takes the opportunity to rebut this review, they will try and blame the painters (or whoever they can) to maike this someone elses fault. The final opinion of

They did an excellent job, and they were very fast as well. They provided excellent quality work, and they had great follow through. I do a lot of my own remodeling so it was fun to watch them work because what would have taken me days took them only hours. I did some of the design work with them, and they were very flexible with that, which I appreciated. They used high quality materials, and we couldn?t be happier with their work.

We met with
Fremont Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
at their
Fremont Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
store, who walked us through the different flooring options. Since we have dogs and radiant heating, we chose a laminate instead of hardwood or an engineered material, for greater durability and heat conduction. We ended up choosing a
Fremont Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
floor that they didn't have in stock but, he was able to order for us. They estimated 4-5 days for installation, and it ended up taking a bit less than four days. The final result was beautiful we couldn't be happier with it. The installers worked long hours to get it done early twice I stopped by the house after 7pm and they were still there working. They did a great job.

We had two different crews come out and both of them were excellent. They fixed the problem that had been done previously and both of them were very helpful, very nice and professional. They did an excellent job. They were expensive.

We brought a paint sample and a linen sample from our planned new decor to the
Fremont Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
showroom in
Fremont Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
. We were greeted cordially by
Fremont Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
who was attentive to our story and showed us several possible carpet solutions in various price ranges. We were able to make a choice within 10 minutes, at which point
Fremont Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
showed us the various pad options. Being a little bit fanatical about the 'feel' of installed carpet, we chose the best quality pad. The next day, we were contacted by the
Fremont Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
scheduler who arranged an installation appointment in the following week (our carpet choice had to be ordered). A day before the appointment, a courteous
Fremont Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
staffer called to confirm the appointment. On the day of the appointment, the installers arrived about 45 minutes early, apologizing and inquiring if they could proceed. Of course, we were pleased to have the opportunity for an earlier installation, and they completed the job in less than an hour. The workmanship is superb, cleanup was impeccable, and the installers were friendly and polite. We are very well satisfied with the feel the upgraded pad provides. By the way,
Fremont Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
makes a point of letting customers know that their old carpet will be recycled.

senior along with his son

junior and their crew did a beautiful job on my house. In all my dealings with workmen, this bunch was the most considerate cleaning up after each days work. They took pains not to damage my hard wood floors or furniture. All the work was done professionally and the quality still shows today. I was particularly pleased with the quality or work laying the tile floors in each room. The material they used for the sinks and shower stalls is just perfect. They make the material in house called Storm; it's a mixture of textured marble and another material. Guests never fail to comment on the rooms. Their workmanship was so good and the crew was so pleasant to deal with I called them recently to repair a small spot on my dressing area floor that had some termite damage. Even though it's not their normal line of work I wanted them on the job as I have complete faith in their work. Dealing with

It took about 3 weeks. He did a quality job. Fantastic job in kitchen cabinets, flooring and texturing. I've used him once before for a small laminate job. He did a great job there also.

Fremont Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
showed up on time to estimate the job. No missed work waiting for the estimate. It took only a few days to start the work. The guys worked very hard, and took the floor up very quickly. What was one a squeaky floor is now solid and more level. They stained and sanded the floor the same color as the older wood floors. It looks the same to us. They carefully put new molding around the fireplace and it is perfect. We got new registers there also. We had bits of molding around the floors, but the guys put all new in each area with the same rosewood color as the rest of the floors. The first bedroom had a poor refinish job on it. Wavy, irregular color and floor damage, missing wood etc. The second bedroom had been stained/painted yellow and varnished. I thought it was hopeless.
Fremont Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
's crew made them look beautiful. A lot of work, but they sanded down to the smallest nook in the closets, and made it all the same. I was not charged for extra floor repair.
