Folsom Wood Flooring Experts Reviews

"We purchased a house and had a short window of time to remove the carpet and replace with hardwood floors.
Folsom Wood Flooring Experts Provider Name Locked
and his team were very fast and professional. The job finished early and within the estimated budget."

"The work took about two and a half days to complete. They came in the first day and took up the old flooring and sanded the the floors down. They covered everything in our kitchen with plastic and sealed it with tape to avoid dust getting on our appliances and into our cabinets. The second day had them putting on the finish and the stain. In the end, our floors look fantastic and we could not be happier."

"Average price and pleasant to work with, but poor quality of work. Sanding pattern still visible in a number of places, and very poor work around the edges of each room."

"My wife and I were very satisfied with the work that they did. They were professional people. The only problem we had with them was that they did not order enough wood for the floor. It took them two weeks to get the job finished."

"I intially contacted
Folsom Wood Flooring Experts Provider Name Locked
for a quote to repair the damage caused by my tenant to my hardwood floors. I met with
Folsom Wood Flooring Experts Provider Name Locked
, who explained what the company could do. He also informed me that they sell and install carpet. I showed him my bid from another carpet provider and he said he could beat that bid. He emailed me a quote the next day and i decided to use the company. After I stopped by the showroom and selected the carpet, the carpet was installed on the upper level of my home in one day, and the hardwood repairs took two days. Both jobs were completed on time and in a professional manner. I am not a fan of carpet, but the carpet looks and feels great. The hardwood floors (on the lower level) look brand new. I woul d not hesitate to use this company again!

for the small job. He was on time, time and cost was exactly what was estimated. Final product looks good. Overall I would hire him again.

"Overall, I am very dissatisfied dealing with
Folsom Wood Flooring Experts Provider Name Locked
. I found him to be rude and only interested in making a buck, which he certainly did on our job. His job was to install around 1200 square feet of engineered hardwood as well as install baseboard. As near as I can tell, you can hire an installer off Craigslist for around $25-$35 / hour. If I assume
Folsom Wood Flooring Experts Provider Name Locked
paid his assistant around $40 / hour (which I doubt he did), then
Folsom Wood Flooring Experts Provider Name Locked
would pull down around $140 / hour. That's good money for a doctor, not a floor installer.
Anyway, my gripes about
Folsom Wood Flooring Experts Provider Name Locked
and his work are fourfold.
1. VERY poor communication and people skills
We originally scheduled to have the work done on Monday - Wednesday, November 19-21. At some point I called him and left a message on his cell phone indicating that I would have a hard time getting that Monday off and asked if there were any other times he could do the job. Without calling back to discuss it with me, he moved our job to DECEMBER! This was after we had been living on concrete for weeks after pulling up our previous flooring. This indicated to me an extreme lack of communication and respect and suffice to say we were off to a bad start. I recommended to my wife we find a new hardwood floor installer,
but she just wanted to get the job done, so we pressed on.
2. Entering our house uninvited when we were not home
We did finally schedule alternate dates to complete the work after we had been bumped from our original time slot (no doubt for a more lucrative job), which was on Wed - Friday, Nov 28-30.
Folsom Wood Flooring Experts Provider Name Locked
came by that Monday, Nov 26th to drop off the material. My wife arranged with
Folsom Wood Flooring Experts Provider Name Locked
to meet her father to drop off the material at 2PM.
Folsom Wood Flooring Experts Provider Name Locked
showed up at our house at around 1:30PM . When no one was home, he entered our unlocked garage door uninvited and began unloading the hardwood in our house. Apparently, around the same time, he left my wife a message indicating if no one was there to let him in, he was going to leave the 1200
square feet of VERY HEAVY engineered hardwood ON THE DRIVEWAY!!! Suffice to say my wife was FURIOUS! Now she agreed with me that we should have found a new installer, but we both wanted the job done now, as it had been weeks living on concrete.
3. Poor Workmanship and RUDE!!!
The last straw was
Folsom Wood Flooring Experts Provider Name Locked
's actual workmanship. First, whenever either my wife or I tried to speak to
Folsom Wood Flooring Experts Provider Name Locked
, he often started a loud saw or just turned his back on us, ignored us and continued working. Very rude, to say the least. Obviously,
Folsom Wood Flooring Experts Provider Name Locked
was only intent on moving on to the next job, not concerning himself with ours. Finally, the material we ordered came in only three sizes of boards - short (2 ft), medium (3 ft) and long (4 ft). If you look at our floor, we have several rows of only the short boards, then groups of long boards, then groups of only short boards. I guess I thought it was pretty obvious that you should just mix up the lengths of boards to avoid these groupings.
Folsom Wood Flooring Experts Provider Name Locked
just kept saying that 3/4 of the boards were short. That may be but I ended up with 4 completely unopened packages of boards (112 square feet total), which certainly would have contained enough middle to long
boards to break up the short board groupings.
4. Sloppy or no cleanup.
In grinding down some high spots on our concrete floor,
Folsom Wood Flooring Experts Provider Name Locked
got a relatively thick
Folsom Wood Flooring Experts Provider Name Locked
of concrete dust over the inside of our ENTIRE HOUSE. All that needed to be done here was shut doors and warn us ahead of time that their concrete grinder machine kicks up a LOT of dust and we would have bought cheap plastic tarps and covered everything. Nothing about excessive dust was ever communicated to us ahead of time. The horrible dust everywhere could have easily been avoided. They also made a huge mess outside with sawdust everywhere. Again, easily avoided with tarps and no effort to clean up the sawdust which got all
over (and I have photos to prove it).
In short, I would not recommend
Folsom Wood Flooring Experts Provider Name Locked
to anyone.
BUYER BEWARE!!!

"Extraordinary. The employees were outstanding, and the contractors were highly skilled and perfectionists. They were timely, considerate, and very communicative as the job went along to make sure we were all on the same page. I appreciated that the lead man and I both agreed that it had to be done right or not at all. They were very clean, considerate, and polite.
