Fair Oaks Window Installers Reviews

"The first contact went well. General measurements were taken, we discussed the types of windows/doors we were looking for, and a price quote was given on the spot.

Once we signed the contract, more specific measurements had to be taken for each opening. The work was scheduled one week prior, but when it came time for our job, it rained the entire three (3) days. I had an issue with
Fair Oaks Window Installers Provider Name Locked
doing the work in the rain, but they assured us that it would not affect the outcome. My husband met them at the house each day; we were told they would arrive between 7:30AM-8:00AM and work until 4:00PM. The first day they arrived at 7:05AM, luckily my husband had left early to meet them there. All three days they left between 3:00PM - 3:30PM.

Because of the rain, my husband offered up the garage as a place to prep and cut the wood but the workers said they did not need to use it (until the very last day). The one thing I was most afraid of was them cutting into the shower marble to place a new window in the Master Bathroom ~ I was assured that this would not happen. Well, it did!!

Also, many of the windows and the door were not the same size as the originals which caused huge gaps above several of them. We were told the drywaller would putty them in ~ what? why? There was all kinds of wood shavings and gunk in the window ledges, no clean-up had been done there. We had about a 15-minute walk-through on Friday afternoon.

When my husband and I returned to the house the very next day (Saturday), the caulking around the windows had oozed out all over the new windows ~ ugh! They used two different kinds of caulking, one white and the other clear around bronze window frames. What a mess we have now, and no response to our phone messages regarding this job!

This job was finally completed two months after starting the process, on June 12, 2012!! BTW, when
Fair Oaks Window Installers Provider Name Locked
sent someone out to repair the caulking, he sliced right through one of the new screens which then had to be replaced. What a nightmare!!

Fair Oaks Window Installers Provider Name Locked
staff repaired and/or replaced any portion to protect the roof from future damage. This became a part of a change order which we were thankful was discovered and repaired. These little extra services puts

"Our last job was a little disappointing due to poor communication and appointment times but this time no problems with this detail. We think
Fair Oaks Window Installers Provider Name Locked
windows are top of the line and while the price is a little higher the quality of the product and the superior installation provided by Halls makes up for some of the difference over other windows. We used

in sales both times and wouldn't consider anyone else,he's the best. If you get a choice,we recommend you request

for your lead installer, that way you'll get a top of the line quality craftsman installing your windows.
"The salesman helped me pick out the windows and then they installed them in a timely fashion. I like that the windows are easy to open and close and also easy to clean. I'm unsure of the total I paid them but you get what you pay for."
"This was our second install by halls windows;

renewal. Our first experience was a "test drive"; we spent 15K and everything was wonderful. The people and the work couldn't have been more perfect, so we hired them for our second install (35K); it was a nightmare. The company had changed ownership, and had changed their practices. They went from a valuable, first rate, trustworthy company to a shoddy, unprofessional, slam bam substandard installer that refused to stand behind their work and their accidental breakage warranty. They installed all the windows with no sill flashing under the flanges. We had 4 independent contractors look at there work and tell us it was substandard and would not pass an inspection. They would not come back and repair their work even when we offered to pay for materials; this is on the south (weather side) of the house and water resistance was our most important factor. I would never, ever, use them again, and I considered filing a lawsuit."

and his contractors performed courteously, consistently showing high quality workmanship. He suggested an interior decorator for us to help with selection of materials and outlay of plans. They were very receptive to any changes or perceived imperfections that we wanted to correct. They showed up on time and cleaned after themselves each work day. The job was supposed to take 2.5 weeks but extended to twice that in large part due to waiting for special order items.

would promptly return calls. I think the charges were on the high side but probably justified for the quality of work performed. I would have no qualms about rehiring them for any further moderate to intensive remodeling.
"We were very concerned because this remodel is on the south (weather) side of the house. We had horrible water damage from the installation of our previous windows and we wanted to make sure that the new job was going to be watertight. From estimate to completion
Fair Oaks Window Installers Provider Name Locked
did an incredible job. They were prompt, professional, neat, extremely patient. We will not know if the project is truly watertight until this winter, but I can't imagine that any water could get past their installation. It was perfect. The photos below show the before and after of the window and door first from the inside, then from the outside. Unfortunately the only before photos I took were during the initial demo work. I think the after turned out gorgeous, and the interior oak trim isnt even on yet!

covered everything with plastic and cleaned up very well. I had just installed brand new carpet and hardwood before the project and it is still in ''brand new'' condition.
"We went to the display store on Auburn Blvd. Chose the type of window we were interested in. From a large selection. A company rep came to estimate the cost and made initial measurements. We then could decide to use this company or another. No other we contacted seemed as reliable, professional or as business like. Then another person came and made exact measurements. The three men came on time and worked very efficiently. Were friendly and answered any questions we had. Finished in the dark with flashlights. Cleaned up everything as they went along. I still have to paint small wooden strips that were used to finish the edges. They look wonderful."
"Father/son worked well together. They always told us when to expect them and were there as expected. Project took 6 or 7 working days. We now have a new and attractive room adjacent to our family room, cooler in summer and warmer in winter. Formerly a semi-open deck that was a furnace in the summer."
"They did the work very quickly and cleaned up after themselves. There was a nick on the handle of one of the doors, and they said they would order a new one and put it on, which they did in a couple of weeks. We did have a problem with scheduling. We weren't informed of the exact date the work would start. The guys just showed up one morning, which was a little disconcerting."
