"We cannot say enough about how professional
was. He answered all questions, he protected our floor where he rolled out the film, he meticulously cleaned everything," and he did a perfect job. We were very impressed. We have never had a more professional service provider come to our home. Great job...thank you!

"Walked around the outside. Provider used infrared heat gun on 2 windows to determine heat gain into home. Provider also used device to determine air temperature at supply registers." Did not use device to determine heat losses inside or where hot air might be entering...Doors, windows, etc. Check insulation depth at attic entry. Did not look at other areas in attic for heat loss into home. Provider developed pricing for radiant
in attic and on garage doors. Prices were adjusted for various discounts, but were still very high. in the $10k-$15k range. $200 gift turns out to be $6.97 worth of 4 CFL lights. Package says UP TO $200.00 IN SAVINGS. 2 are broken. Not worth the 2 hours for an Energy Audit. The company sells radiant
for attic and garages along with window films and impact resistant windows.

"I contacted
for a home energy audit. I was routed through an automated system with many options (must be a big company) until I finally got to a secretary. I" told her I was interested in a home energy audit and she said I needed to speak with ***** and he would call me. I provided my name and number and waited. It's been almost 2 weeks and I never got a call. I went with another company who was actually responsive.

We are very happy with the service
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
and
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
provided. The initial consultation was much friendlier and honest than the competition. We felt much more secure with
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
's knowledge and the quality of his initial assessment.
The project expanded as we decided we wanted to do more work than originally planned in the garage. They were accommodating and the project rolled out smoothly.
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
did a tremendous amount of research to ensure I was getting the noise reduction for the garage I was looking for. I wanted insulation, new walls, sound reduction, higher efficiency, and temperature regulation. After much research and consultation we moved forward with the agreed upon plan and it was executed well.
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
and his team were willing to come out as needed for small finishing touches, questions, etc. They certainly went above and beyond on multiple occasions.
The project did take longer than anticipated, but I've never been involved in a single contracting experience that finished on time, so I don't consider this a problem. It was still completed in an acceptable timeframe.

Our condo's insulation was not up to standard. We had 10" in the attic. The association hired
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
to add another 8". I was quite impressed with this installation. It was late August. The outside temperature was 92 degrees. They took their time to do a good job. They explained in detail the work that was being done and asked me several times if I wanted to examine their work. It was obvious to me that they were quality driven and wanted people to know it. During the installation
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
explained several options to further improve energy efficiency. The one that grabbed my attention was sealing the ductwork. He took his time in his explanation and was very detailed. We even went into the basement to check for leakage. I was amazed how much cold air was leaking through the joints. On just about every joint I could feel cold air leaking. It was no wonder the basement was so much cooler than upstairs. On
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
' web site is a video of them on This Old House explaining how this Aeroseal technology would dramatically reduce leakage in the basement allowing more cool air to flow upstairs. I strongly suggest you watch this. So I decided to have the service done on the 24th. A sub company came out on the 23rd to clean our ducts. I was surprised at the amount of debris that came out, especially from the dryer. The washer and dryer are upstairs so I thought the duct shot straight out the wall. WRONG. The duct takes a 90 degree turn down, a 90 degree turn right for four feet, 90 degree up for 2 feet. then one more 90 degree bend extending 6 feet to exhaust. This exhaust is made to trap lint at every corner. Well
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
did his work and the results were amazing to me. I had never seen so much lint at one time. I was very pleased. The following day the
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
Solution crew came.
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
had 2 associates with him. I turned on the ac to feel the volume of air coming from each
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
for a before and after pressure check. At this time all supply and return registers are sealed and the blocked. Air flow through the furnace was also blocked. The process of blowing polymer foam through the system began. We started at the supply side. The polymer blows through and seals all small holes. It's amazing to see the holes being patched. One 4" line was found that was opened at the end and went to nowhere. Started off with 309 CFM of leakage, equivalent to a 59 square inch hole. After finish we had 4 CFM of leakage equivalent to a 1 square inch. This is a 99% reduction in Duct Leakage. We had a corresponding reduction on the return side. We started out at 421CFM of leakage, n 80 square inch hole. Took 55 min. to get this down to 41 CFM of leakage, an 8 in hole. Very dramatic results. But the proof for me would be to feel every
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
and see if more cool air was exciting through the registers than before.
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
and I checked them all and every one pulled more cool air through them. I couldn't be happier. If anyone plans to have this service performed watch The Old House Video on this website for basic knowledge. After setup watch
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
perform the tests. You can see the progress being made and
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
enjoys the company.

The president of the company,
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
, came out himself to do the energy audit. He let me watch everything he did and he explained all of it. When I decided to go ahead with the insulation upgrade he listed everything that could be done and let me know which things were important and which were optional. He helped me get money from NYSERDA to help with the costs. On the actual day of installation
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
was around several times to make sure his crew knew exactly what to do. His crew was very considerate, clean, and knowledgable. They kept me informed as to their progress throughout the day and showed me exactly what they were doing. After the upgrade
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
came back to retest my home. The test showed just how much a little insulation in the right places can improve a home. It's been over 6 months since the upgrade and over the summer my house has been noticeably cooler and dryer. I'm looking forward to being comfortable this winter as well as using less fuel.

Member Comments: In the beginning of this experience, 11/30/2013, we purchased a Fujitsu heat pump system from
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
that was purported to reduce or heating bill and provide substantial savings in the summer over our window air conditioners. The purchase price was over $10,000. We paid in full - no financing.
We followed the
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
's installation foreman's instructions regarding heat, that until the outside air temperature dropped to 4-degrees F, we would use the Fujitsu system. At lower temperatures, we should turn on the oil-fired furnace. This was supposed to substantially reduce our heating costs. Actually, because the Fujitsu system is powered by electricity, at the end of the heating season we had paid $565 MORE than if we had used our oil heat.
In May 2014, we switched the Fujitsu heat pump system to cooling mode. One unit did not provide cooling air at all. Another unit froze the condensor coils and dripped copious amounts of water on the oak floor. A service call was made and the crew showed up after a week. They claimed the problem was fixed and left.
Within two hours the "frozen" unit did the same thing and the other unit failed to provide cooling air. A second service call was placed. It took almost two weeks for a crew to arrive, and when they did, the main technician said that the system was not installed correctly and that the original installer was no longer with the company. Some work was done, and the chief technician tad us that the non-functioning unit was defective. We were told to expect a call to reschedule the next service. After two weeks of not receiving the promised call, my wife contacted the service manager, "
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
." He was very rude and called her a liar when she told him the "frozen" unit was doing the same thing again and the non-functioning unit was still non-functioning, claiming that "someone had touched 'his' system while doing work on our home." We had not had any work done. My wife had video of the unit dripping water on the floor, and a thermometer reading of 80-degrees air from the non-functioning unit.
I wrote a letter to the home office in Boston expressing our dissatisfaction. On 09/12/2014, a
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
chief technician and a senior installation inspector came out. The correct diagnosis was finally made when the technician used a compression testing device and discovered that the system did not have factory specification refrigerant in it to work properly. This technician was the same one who had been to the house a month before and said the non-functioning unit was defective and that the other unit was not draining properly and he fixed it. On this 9/12/2014 visit, refrigerant was installed as per Fujitsu system specifications and the problems solved as respects cooling functionality.
I do NOT recommend anyone use
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
or the Fujitsu system if you live in a cold climate state.
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
misrepresented the system capability and "savings" function.
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
failed to insure proper installation or service. We went through the entire cooling season without the benefit promised due to poor and incompetent service. This company,
Fair Oaks Energy Consultants Provider Name Locked
, which operates in both Massachusetts and Connecticut is not one with whom I will ever do business again.Stay far away from this company.

explained what the audit would consist of and went into the attic to check for leaks from the AC ducts and level of insulation. While there he took photos of problem areas. He then checked the outside AC unit. He made recommendations and later provided a detailed written report and costs of what it would take to accomplish the energy improvements. Unfortunately, I can't afford to do the improvements at this time because I've had other home repairs or improvements that I've had done to the house.
