Invitation Design reviews in Durham

Everything went smoothly and easily. I emailed what I wanted to the
Durham Invitation Designers Provider Name Locked
service representative; she emailed me back the proof. In about three days, she delivered the cards.

The entire event when off with a bang! I was able to surprise all my guests and keep them entertained at all times. The workers setting up worked from 10 am all the way until my event was finished and stayed to pick up everything that had made my event so special and classy. They kept everything very professional and understood all of my preferences, making each one come to life. It is great how they are able to adjust to every clients personal preferences and budget, making each event unique in every way. I would work with them in any and every event I may have in the future.

The company advertises online invitations. I wanted to use one for my daughter's first birthday party. The company forces you to sign up for a membership to use one of their invitations. They advertise the rate in large letters as $3.99/month. They also advertise a free 7-day trial where you do not get charged if you cancel w/in 7 days. I joined so I could use the invitation. I cancelled the membership 2 weeks later. Since I did not cancel in the 7 day free time frame, I anticipated being charged $3.99. However, they charged my credit card $47.88 for an entire annual membership. At no point when I joined, did I agree to enroll for an annual membership.
Attempts to contact the company were fruitless. The company does not have a phone number and does not accept phone calls, probably because of the volume of complaints they would receive. I sent an email to "customer service" asking for a refund of the 11 months of membership I do not want, explained I cancelled the membership just 2 weeks later, and stated I never agreed to a one-year membership. Their customer service person barely responded to my email. 2 days later, the response I received, was them pasting some of their membership terms in a response, and not directly addressing much of what I wrote.
They refused to give a refund, stating that they do not offer monthly memberships. However, they offered no explanation of why they advertise a monthly rate in large bold letters of $3.99/month, when they do not offer a monthly service.
I investigated the company online, and found a slew of billing complaints against this company on www.ripoffreport.com and the Better Business Bureau. The BBB website indicates a total of 245 complaints over the last 3 years, with 159 of them over "billing issues." The BBB even states: "On February 13, 2014, BBB recognized a pattern of complaints from consumers regarding billing and customer service issues. Consumers allege
Durham Invitation Designers Provider Name Locked
makes unauthorized credit card charges after consumers have cancelled their accounts. Consumers claim after signing up for a free trial account, their account is not automatically cancelled when the trial expires; the company continues to charge a monthly fee of $5.99 for membership or subscription. Consumers further allege
Durham Invitation Designers Provider Name Locked
is unresponsive to requests for assistance."
My complaint and experience mirrors the "pattern of complaints" referenced by the BBB. Even after I notified
Durham Invitation Designers Provider Name Locked
that I filed complaints with both the BBB and the Attorney General's Office,
Durham Invitation Designers Provider Name Locked
insisted that I was not entitled to a refund. I then challenged the charge on my credit card statement as fraudulent. Not long after, I received a message from their customer service "
Durham Invitation Designers Provider Name Locked
" that my complaint had been "solved." I emailed back asking what that meant. He played a cat and mouse game with me for about 8 more emails with not really telling me what that meant. He told me to sign into my account to read the details, but the sign-in information didn't work. I repeatedly emailed asking him to provide the information in one of the many emails he was writing to me instead of telling me over and over to sign in. Finally, he stated that "solved" means that no more communication was necessary. Well, in whose opinion? I emailed again asking if that meant they would provide a refund, and days later, he finally responded "no."
In my opinion, this website is a scam that lures people in who need to use one invitation, forces them to sign a membership without telling them it is for a full year, and then charges almost $50 and refuses to refund. Their entire business model, in my opinion, is predicated on roping people into something they don't want, and overcharging for a minor use of their service. Due to the volume of complaints, they must know that people are complaining of this repeatedly. One birthday invitation should not cost you almost $50. A reputable company would offer the purchase of one invitation, and allow you to join monthly, and not deceive people into joining for a full year.

The process was as smooth as it gets. The templates they provide match what is printed. There were no surprises. The options they provided to boost their sales were understood but got in the way a little. I was given the opportunity throughout the process to skip the additional choices which was very nice.
The cards arrive quickly. I really like
