"They assured me they could care for her after evaluating her needs in our home. They could not. I came racing home because she had fallen twice and had stopped" eating begging me to get her. She was having horrible pain because they could not dispense meds at night. Arriving unannounced I found a very dirty area and my blind mother with no buzzer, and no socks on her feet. They really let mom down. It looks classy and they tell me changes have been made. It also seemed dark. They did not get mom to activities. Sometimes they'd get her excited about something and then never come to get her. Those activities were a big selling point for mom. Also some great staff but too many were very unprofessional.

"They were great. Everything was nice and clean, the staff was friendly, and the clients looked happy, healthy, and content. The only downside would be that they" could stand to update the decor a bit. If my aunt comes back to Detroit, she's definitely going here!

Assisted living

Assisted living facilities provide care for people who aren't able to live on their own but who don't require the kind of care found in a hospital or full-time retirement home. Facilities vary significantly in quality and price.

It’s nice when a facility creates a visually appealing environment. But don’t let that be all you see. Be thorough as you choose a community. (Three Pillars Senior Living Communities)

All the staff are friendly and smiling. Everyone is very patient with newbies who ask lots of questions over and over again. The living areas are clean and neat, food is great, and the people seem truly concerned about everyone's well being.

The contact person I had was amazing, she walked me through the whole process. This is a very overwhelming thing to have to do-to move a parent into an Assisted Living facility and

was amazing, so personable and helpful through the whole process.

She has been there since summer and I am very happy with them. It's a non-profit Catholic assisted living facility. Their primary interest is caring and not making a profit. I would never place a relative in a full profit assisted living facility. It is a very good place. She is happy there and they take very good care of her.

They were absolutely wonderful! They were very professional and attentive! I actually stayed there for about a week and they made everything feel like home! I have such good things to say about the cleanliness, activities, and resident engagement! The only thing we were a little let down with was the transportation availability. My mother hoped to visit my father in a nearby nursing home more often then she was able.

My loved one was in the memory care unit at
Copperopolis Assisted Living Facilities Provider Name Locked
for over two years. Management was all talk and I found they promised me anything to get a bed filled. Once my family member moved in all was forgotten. No matter the subject that needed addressed, all I received was lip service. Everything, even the med errors I caught, were 'one off' occurrences, or were met with total denial even when proof of the problem or error in care was presented. I found there was little communication between management and the hands-on staff and this lead to frustration on the part of everyone. Well, except the management, they seemed oblivious to everything except the money coming in. Meetings with management on the care plan for my family member were almost useless. Concerns discussed only made it into the care-tracker program weeks after the meeting. I could not be certain that what my loved one required would be provided. I have to say, the nurses and the aides all had the best interests of the residents at heart, and of all those that entered the

revolving door of employment, I only found fault with 2 hands-on staff members in two years. The nurses and aides did the best they could, handicapped as they were with the bottom-line mentality of the management. They were always looking for employees. The sign out front advertising this rarely came down while my family member was in residence. Cleanliness is quite

, except in the front public area. I doubt management would live with the dirty urine-stained bathrooms, filthy carpets, run-down furniture and choking, sour drain smells in the kitchen that the memory care residents did these past couple of years. Again, my experience was that they did not care. Housekeeping staff was almost non-existent during my loved one's residency and the unit showed it. In my opinion, the lack of cleanliness contributed in no small part to the scabies and viruses that spread rapidly through the unit. I ate at

with my family member on occasion and found the food to be awful, even for an institution. Additionally, there were supposed to be snacks every evening around 7 pm, but the kitchen almost always did not send anything over, nor did they usually have anything to offer when the aides went over to inquire about it. Snack frequently wound up being peanut butter- or animal crackers. The largest meal of the day was served at noon with only a very light supper served at 5:00 pm. Often, the nurses would provide something out of their own money because they didn't like to see the residents go without. I would not place anyone here under any circumstances.

They're absolutely the best. Compared to other retirement communities, I believe that you get the best deal for your money. In other words for the services you get, you can't beat the monthly fee in the whole of Northern Virginia.

I could check out and sent me articles and other resources I could use to help the process. It did not cost anything. They do give your name and phone number to the places they send to you but if you tell those places they don't fit your criteria they will not bother you. A very good resource for this kind of help.

For some crazy reason I turned to Angie's List late on a Saturday night, because this is where I go for everything. I contacted
Copperopolis Assisted Living Facilities Provider Name Locked
and within 12 hours, early on Sunday morning, I got a call from them asking for details. Within a few hours we were speaking with our personal consultant. Mind you, this is Thanksgiving Weekend. The very next day, Monday, I not only had a list of places that fit our criteria, but the facilities were calling us to see how they could help. One of the places that called was perfect, and less than a mile away from my husband and

office. We had not idea this community was there because it is a bit

. And our entire family has lived in this area for over 20 years. That Saturday we toured the property and it was more than we could ever want. It even had a screened in patio. This is a beautiful place, very active and alive, friendly staff and fine dining. It is less than a mile from our office, 15 minutes from our house, and 20 minutes from our oldest son and his family (including 2 great grandsons that this relative has never seen.)

found the perfect place, and save my husband and I hours, if not weeks of work. This is an amazing service and we are very grateful.
