He unclogged several of my inlets and explained that my 15 year old vacuum was in need of major repair or replacement and was the reason for all the clogs in the pipes. Since I plan on staying here for a while it made more sense to start off with a new vacuum with a warranty.

hung the new unit, cleaned out all the inlets, took away the old unit, and showed me hos to use the new hose and attachments. The new vacuum has 10X more suction and is so much more quiter than the old one. The new vacuum takes a bag and I don't have to mess withh getting the dirt in a trash bag like my old vacuum where the dirt just went in the can and I had to dump it out. I spent less then a thousand dollars, got a new hose and some nice tools &attachments.

Cleaned three filters located in the cylinder of the vacuum. Quickly identified problem(s); malfunctioning face plate, clogged duct, and rectified them. Vacuum now works very well. He also carried and supplied (at an additional cost) new hose and all the attachments.

This company was very responsive to my call; set up a service call for same day. However, they indicated they would be here between 2-6:00 p.m., and showed up a little after 6:30 p.m. Not a big deal, but no apology rendered by them for their delay, and no call to me to let them know they were running late. After checking my oven, they gave me a quote for repairing the oven in the amount of $650, with a required $400 down payment. They said it would take 30-45 days to get the parts for the oven. I gave them the down payment check. I decided I should get a second opinion in light of the high cost -- and was considering replacing the oven if the cost was going to be so high to repair the over 40-year-old oven I now have. I called

the next day, told them I would be seeking a second opinion, and would be putting a "stop payment" on my deposit check, and if I was going to stay with them, would issue a replacement check. They were very accommodating, no problem at all. I put through the "stop payment" immediately. Today I had another repairman come by, who had lots of excellent reviews on Angies List, and learned that the problem with my oven was not as diagnosed by Appliance, and would cost far less to repair than the quote I had been given. I called Appliance to tell them I was going to go with another company, and wanted to let them know that their repairmen had misdiagnosed the oven problem. The person I spoke with said that if that was the case, that when they came to do the repair, if determined that they had misdiagnosed the problem, they would have corrected their diagnose and cost. To be honest, I am certain that he definitely felt that would be the case, and it could well be. Please note: I found the gentlemen who took my calls to be extremely professional and helpful. I believe my rating of the service I received is accurate, because this could absolutely have just simply been a diagnosing error on their part.

I have been pleased with the process so far and will provide further updates once the part has arrived and the service call has been completed.
