"
takes the time to do the job right. When he was ready to start and realized I had purchased natural stone tile he postponed the job until" he could get special quick-set cement which is required for that product. He suggested a marble slab threshold for the bath room entrance which gives the job a classy appearance. He obtained it and charged me for it. The price shown in this review includes that slab.
and his partner also recommended 1/8th inch grout lines which look much classier than the 3/8th inch lines in the other tile work throughout my house.

"Experience was excellent. In store we were shown carpet samples but also allowed to browse on our own. Once we had a carpet the salesman went over all of carpet" features with us, and showed us similar carpets. Once we selected he gave us the sample board to take home to make sure we were certain. A measurement appointment was set-up. The appointment was kept exactly on time. The measurement was performed quickly and professionally. The carpet installers arrived exactly on time and did a thorough and professional installation. Even to the point of vaccuming the new carpet so that any of the stray fibers did not track to the rest of the house.

Most  reputable carpet stores should be able to help you, they know what is available. and should be able to find a good carpet for a good price. sometlmes they will buy overruns that are a good value. Also,   make sure they do use a power-streacher when they install the carpet! Pat All Carpet Repair
?

Carpet with pad purchase cost $10-20 for really economy cheap stuff, $20-30 for normal brands, and $30-50/SY (square yard) for high-end carpet, to $100 or more for custom or gold thread and such.

Installation cost does not change much depending on what varpet is installed - generally about $10-20/SY.

So, for normal medium-range carpet I would assume $30-50/SY.

1 Square yard = 9 Square feet

This was a fantastic experience.

came and reviewed the samples with us and helped guide us through our options. He professionally explained the differences in the products and the different price and quality points. Once we settled on our plan, we put it into action. Everything was delivered exactly when
Atwater Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
said it would be. We had a very tight window to get the project done while the house was empty between when our renters moved out and we moved in. The installers knocked it out of the park! Even though the install was complicated by a simultaneous kitchen demo and install,

and his partner came in and did the removal quickly and efficiently, followed by an install that was amazing to watch as they pieced together the floor, carefully selecting the best pieces from the boxes and putting it all together like a puzzle. We ran into some problems... the fireplace has caused the floor to settle unevenly, causing a hump in the floor. This is not a problem with carpet, but a huge problem with hardwood.

and

explained the issue and the options, eventually we decided to do it right and the guys ripped out the sub-floor, shaved down the joist and re-installed the sub-floor to make it perfectly level. While this could have set the project back by a day or even two,

and his partner redoubled their efforts, working as late as 9 at night to bring us in on schedule. The final result is gorgeous and I am sure that we will enjoy these floors for years to come. Thanks

We did two projectswith
Atwater Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
. First, we had the living room carpeted. This project went well, and we were pleased with the service and product (carpet). A few weeks later, we had our basement done using the same carpet. Here are where the issues
started. During installation, we had some issues. One of the seams was poorly done and they carpeted over some debris, causing a big bump in the middle of the room. Our main contact person at the office (
Atwater Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
), who was very responsive at the beginning of the project, became nearly impossible to reach. Despite repeated calls, we could not get people scheduled to address the issues. I was very disappointed in how things turned out from a service perspective. The carpet, however, seems to be a nice product, and we are happy with it.

, an entire glass of orange gatorade was spilled on our 10 x 14, light gray, wool rug. We attempted to blot and quickly remove the stain using vinegar and club soda, but we had no luck. We had our rug professional cleaned, and the nasty orange stain persisted. At this point, I began looking into alternatives to having the rug repaired rather than just live with this 1.5' x 1.5' stain on the rug (i.e., hiding it under furniture). This is when I stumbled across
Atwater Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
. Being that there wasn't a branch located near where we lived, I contacted the national number. I completed the request form and sent pictures, but after this, I didn't hear anything back.

After a few months, I got desperate and started dialing actual
Atwater Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
branches to see what was going on. This is when I called Rich (FL office), and he explained that since we were out of area that typically a traveling technician would take care of us; however, he was willing to help us with our rug debacle. We first had contact w/ Rich the beginning of December. We e-mailed him photos, and he told us a good time to ship him our rug (availability). We were a bit hesitant to ship our 10 x 14 wool rug, but he assured us that many customers do this, and he even gave us instructions on how to fold the rug. He also asked us to include a color sample of what color we'd like the rug dyed. He even gave us advice on how to secure the best pricing when shipping the rug (You pay for shipping there and back.).

We shipped our rug the week after Christmas. Rich promptly notified us when he received the rug. He also sent us pictures when he completed the rug for our approval. He had a bit of trouble with the stained part of the rug, and he even called to tell us that he had a setback and would need to dye the rug a bit darker to deal w/ that pesky orange gatorade stain. About a week later (

20th), our rug was delivered. Rich did an excellent job removing any traces of the orange gatorade incident. Gatorade is no longer allowed in the living room, so we hope to not use Rich's services on this rug anymore. However, if we ever had any future stains with our rugs that cannot be cleaned, we wouldn't hesitate to contact Rich to take care of us.

I called and left
Atwater Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
a message which he responded to in a very timely manner. I inquired about pricing over the phone which he gave me. I called him back the next day and asked when he could come out to look at the job and make sure there wasnt anything I missed, he was able to come out the same day. He was there when he said he would be, brought some literature about the products he used and went over all the options. The crew arrived on time and
Atwater Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
was there to help get everything started. Side note, if you are having your floors refinished they do need a 220v plug via your dryer or
Atwater Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
. The crew worked hard all day finishing the sanding the first day, which is a true dust free system. When I say dust free I mean dust free no dust anywhere. The crew returned the second day and put down the stain first thing that morning and came back later in the evening and put down the first coat of clear. Third and final day second coat of clear then the sealer coat. They came when they said they would and finished when they said they would. When it comes time to do the rest of our house they will get the call.

The people at
Atwater Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
were a big help in finding the right tile for our kitchen. They helped us go through many different types of tile's, different styles different colors etc. they had their technician come out and make accurate measurements of the kitchen and for that we're going to have tiled. We had to postpone the installation a couple of times and there were very helpful in doing that. When the installer did come on the day we finally selected he was very prompt and very professional. He made us aware of some of the problems with the prior flooring that have been down and guaranteed us that he would make the new flooring done right. I was impressed that there were fast but at the same time seem to be very accurate. The one installer would make a measurement in the other helper would cut the tile to size I think you got every single one perfect. The chief installer helped with deciding how much of a big route we should put in and we went with his recommendation to use the smaller grout width and we were very glad we did. We had originally been going to put the tile on a slant but when we placed it on the floor within like the way it looked and so we tried putting it just horizontally parallel to the walls and like that much better. By doing this we had some extra tile and the installer said that he had enough to do the bathroom for us and recommended that we do that but also that we turn it 90° from the tile in the foyer and kitchen to differentiate it from those areas, I'm glad we took his recommendation it looked great. The final job turned out fantastic and they had every day cleaned up after themselves.
The only thing I would tell people is that
Atwater Carpet Installers Provider Name Locked
is still selling Congolium Duraceramic. This product is advertised as being an engineered cross between linoleum and a ceramic tile. They promote that it has the durability and ruggedness of ceramic but is not as cold as ceramic. Nothing could be farther from the truth. We had Duraceramic installed previously and after a very short period of time, only couple of years, we found that it had nicked very easily and had lots of nicks in that short amount of time. We also found that some of the joints buckled and were cracked. We had our original linoleum flooring down for 20 years with six kids and it was in better shape after 20 years then the Duraceramic after four years. When the installers for that product came to the house and I saw them cutting the Duraceramic tiles with a utility knife instead of having to use a tile cutter I should have known that it did not have the durability of a ceramic tile as advertised.

the carpeting in our house when we moved in was in bad shape. The previous owners had two young boys and two cats. It was dirty, worn, and smelled pretty bad. The Empire salesman showed up with samples and the whole process was quite painless. We got our quote, scheduled our installation, and the installers showed up a few days later...
The installers were probably contractors and spoke very little english. They worked very hard and for probably 12 hours a day over two days but it was difficult to communicate with them. They were friendly but not very professional. On install, the carpet looked great but it has worn TERRIBLY. They did not use a power-stretcher when they installed the carpets which means we now have wrinkles in the carpet as it has stretched out. The carpet in the basement was installed very poorly and as a result, I replaced it with laminate over this past new year's break.
Although the quote for carpeting and installation was great, it was not worth the money. I am kicking myself for selecting Empire and it makes me sad that my beautiful home has such lousy carpeting in it now.
