Check your owner's manual, making sure to look up the exact model you have. May also show on the nameplate - usually on driver's side door or door jamb. Read up on passenger/cargo effect too, because the "rated" capacity is with no cargo and only a normal (I think they use 150#) driver.
Quick web search showed rated from 1500-4000# towing capacity and tongue weights from 150-400# depending on model and if has towing package - so you would have to check tongue weight and total trailer weight, but a 700# travel trailer (assuming that is total weight, not empty) certainly is likely to be viable. What it can handle safely also depends on what else in in the vehicle and where it is located with respect to the rear axle - so if all the seats are filled with adults for instance, your towing capacity may go to zero.
My recommendation, especially if travelling at highway speeds or long distance, is never exceed 75% or rated trailer load. Also - read up on tongue weight and what it does for handling and vehicle steering ability, so you get it right - too much and you risk tralier hitch failure, rear tire overloading, and poor steering because too much weight is off the front end. Too little and the trailer will tend to "hunt" - swerve back and forth.

We shipped vehicals seperately one. One of the drivers they contacted Lazie Auto Group was terrific. Very nice, responsive, and went out of his way to help with a smooth delivery. Vehicle arrive clean and undamaged.
Other vendor was not good. Philly Express Group They only gave us 2 hours notice to pick-up and deliver the car, supposed to be 24 hours. When we did not respond within 2 hours on the delivery they left the car in a lot 20+ miles away. The car was so dirty I could not inspect it for damage.
United Freight is handling my complaint with Philly Express group with concern and efficiency.
The driver was extremely polite and drove safely with all those huge trucks barreling by. We arrived in New
on the move of my mom's car from Florida to L.A. I was scheduled to be
on a plane the next day. I called
truck for me in five minutes and paperwork to me within ten. The truck
arrived three hours after I arrived in Florida and the move went off
without a hitch. The car was delivered in exactly seven days. I'm
pleased all around.”
Had originally contacted a logistics firm who I do a lot of work with about doing the shipping on the Jeep ("logistics" being a fancy term for "moving anything from point A to point B in a timely, cost effective manner - no matter how insane the actual situation may be").
A few things to note:
Like most everybody else in this industry, they're really brokers - finding and selling (and managing) space on auto haulers. So they're dealing with a fluctuating supply.....which is what leads to them giving you a "window" in which to do the pick-up. In my case, that was a little outside of the original target. No big deal - we were able to work out a pick-up at my office with somebody else doing the hand-over. Not ideal, but workable Because they're dealing with finding space when and where they can, notices for things like pick-up sometimes come a little closer to the actual date than they would ideally offer. Again, in my case that meant notice of the pick-up date coming in the evening before the pick-up instead of a day or two in advance. Again, we worked it out (and Executive had made it clear they could offer other dates if we needed to adjust)
When they (Executive) give you the pick-up info, they share the contact info with the actual hauler (in my case, both the firm and the driver). You've got a certain amount of responsibility at that point for managing the details - I'm not sure how deep Executive might be willing to get into managing that - I found the driver easy to deal with directly (but, then again, I've dealt with shipping and truck drivers a lot in my career). I'd also note that the driver was incredibly communicative and flexible - top quality service.
Last thing - you have the option of booking your vehicle onto the top deck of the hauler for an added fee (and more restricted availability of space). I didn't do that, and the Jeep arrived covered in engine oil and brake/transmission fluid from the POS Thunderbird parked over it. Not just regular road grime from the trip - a coating of oil and fluids that have been an adventure to remove. My own fault - they were very clear that this was a potential risk (and it's a 20+ year old vehicle, so I'm not terribly finicky about it). But be aware - whatever is parked above you is going to leak onto your vehicle. If that's an issue for you - buy a top deck space.
So - good company, good experience. Go into the process with reasonable expectations and an understanding ot Executive's role in the process and you should be just fine!
