"Went very well. The service tech

R. is our favorite and he always took great care of us! I am very sorry and saddened to hear he is no longer with the company when I requested him to do my fall check. I am going to try to find out where he went! Overall he is the only one I trusted to shoot this old lady straight.

"On time the first time. Failed to to the condensation flush or the coil cleaning. Only pushed me to buy a warranty program. I told them that I had a home warranty and did not want to buy a plan. They said I needed a capacitor part $225.and that the previous company had put the last one in the "cheap" way and that is why the second one went out. When the service man left I looked at the paperwork and it recommended that I have the coils cleaned!!! (along with the repair and I should purchase a warranty). I called the office and told them that they were already susposed to clean the coils but the service person said that there was no hose. I was never asked if I had a hose nor did he use one of the three hoses sitting in the yard. They called me back and said that they would come back out to do the work & replace the capacitor for free if I purchased the warranty ($369)!! So, I sent an email on Angie's list explaining and got a call back from another person who said that they have all the hoses and everything they need on thier trucks and I did not need to provide anything. So I arranged for their "top service provider" to come back out to replace the capacitor (20% discount) and to do the work that was not done on the first visit. They were scheduled 8-10 am. at 10 am I got a call that they would be later and that the original service guy was the one coming. Since he did not tell the truth about the hose and didn't even do the required work I was now concerned if I even needed the part. Anyhow he showed about an hour later. Did the job and asked me to sign and pay. I asked him for the bad part and if he had installed it the proper way as he explained it to me the time before. He said he installed it just like it was done before!!! The "cheap" way! He basically acted like it was my fault as if I knew how the thing should be installed. I bought the dual capacitor part so that it could be installed properly per his advise the first time he came. As far as I know he did go back up on the roof and reinstall the part the correct way. Next time I have the unit serviced by my home warranty company I will ask them to check what he did. All in all I gave them an average score because they did come back out to correct the situation but I would not recommend them unless of course you want a warranty or don't mind having them return to do complete the job.

"At the time of the visit, there was nothing apparently wrong with the unit. It was still cool, so we weren't really using it. Technician
Sun City HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
told my Mom if she did not replace the parts, that the house could possibly explode, and out of fear, she authorized the repair and signed the authorization. I put a stop payment on the check so I could analyze the repair.

I called a wholesale store, and found out the price of the parts ($10.00). I stopped payment of the check and spoke to the manager. He said I had no recourse, that Mom signed the paper. When I mentioned the BBB, he laughed and said that they won't do anything and further, that it was a felony on my part to stop payment on the check and he could pursue legal action. I said I didn't not want to pay for the work, but that it was wrong that they told my Mom that the house could blow up any moment and that the charge of $242.00 was outrageous. The manager said that we were paying for highly qualified and educated technicians.

The owner and I finally connected, and he said he would speak to the technician about frightening the elderly, the manager threatening me with the police, and knocked of $81.00 ($31.00 for stop payment and $50.00).

One would think for $200.00 for the inspection and repair, everything would be done.

There was a wire hanging down by the fan, and Mr.
Sun City HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
apparently didn't notice it during his "inspection." The fan blade cut the wire, causing popping sounds and eventually stopping the fan and air from working. What good is it to pay them for a warranty inspection, and then have to have another company come out and pay an additional $200 to fix the wire. Interestingly enough,
Sun City HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
could have told me I need an entirely new fan ($600.00), but instead notice the cut wire and fixed that instead.

Mr.

, the owner, seemed like a decent enough guy, but I sure don't trust his employees. If you have them out, try to find someone who is physically capable to go on the roof with them to ensure everything is completed properly.

"The visit went well.
Sun City HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was very professional and didn't mind explaining in detail the things that he was doing while I was on the roof. The elderly are so badly taken advantage of in this area, and it would have been impossible for my Mom to go on the roof, so it's nice to know that they are honest."

"I had just moved into my parents' former home from the east coast. The winter before when I was out here for a couple of weeks I had discovered that the furnace (circa 1965) was no longer fixable, but I waited until I came out here pemanently to have it and the air condiitoner replaced. I received four estimates and felt that the
Sun City HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
offer was the best option. The work was done on time and very professionally. My only criticism was a conflict of information. I had been told that they would need to come back to check the unit before I turned on the air conditioning for the first time, but when I called to set up an appointment this spring, I was told that that was not necessary, and the air conditioning is performing very well now."

"As stated above, the work was done in one day and we are extremely satisfied. The unit is quiet and does a great job."

"Overall, the experience was great. It's a family business, which I liked. The technician was very personable, came out right away and answered all of my questions. He inspected the unit and told me there were no other problems. He honored an Angie's List discount and the prices seemed reasonable. I'm happy with their services. "
