"All of the doctors on staff are knowledgeable and helpful, the reception desk is efficient and pleasant to deal with. This office has been taking care of my eyes" and eyeglasses needs for five years or so, since I moved to the area. When I asked about the
procedure, they set me up with a very experienced office, and were able to do all the follow up appointments in their own office on Pennsylvania Ave, included with the cost of the procedure. I'll continue using them for my yearly appointments. They have a good selection of eyeglasses frames, and the technician is very helpful, though I always chose from the "free" section as determined by my vision plan. The only ding I gave them was for billing and administration because they don't accept my health insurance plans, even though it covers a yearly eye check-up - though they do accept several others and pretty much every vision specific plan that I've seen. I've been a happy customer for five years, and I have no plans to switch offices

"Dr. Z gave in depth explanation on options for new contact choices and what was going on with my eyes. The staff was more than accommodating. HIGHLY recommend.

Eye Care - Optometry

Numerous factors affect the cost of an eye exam, from your choice of optometrist or ophthalmologist, to location, such as at a retail store or doctor’s office.

Absolutely you have rights to your own medical records. You may have to put it in writing and go through the offices records department. Call and ask to speak with the records department and ask their protocol.

Provider was on time for the appointment and made the prescription. The glasses didn't quite work right and I was able to get another prescription. Haven't got the new lenses yet, but I expect they will be fine.

I have visited Dr.
Sierra Vista Optometrists Provider Name Locked
one time so far. She is very clear and explains things very well. She is senior friendly and has a great sense of humor. She tries to treat problems naturally instead of prescribing medications. I really like her a lot so far. She has a wonderful office staff and scheduling was easy. She only works 1 day a week, however.

It's a relatively small office but it's well laid out. They have all kinds of late model testing equipment. I really like them.

My daughter also went to them, to get contacts. The staff and the doctor are all good. The prices are good. The staff is very professional and very helpful. I had a problem with my glasses before I even went there as a patient and there was no charge for fixing my glasses. That was before I had even been a patient there or anything.

My son has had vision therapy there and she and her staff are both great. There can be a little wait for appointments but this is reasonable and scheduling is not bad there. I wish they accepted American Express.

Dr.
Sierra Vista Optometrists Provider Name Locked
and Dr.
Sierra Vista Optometrists Provider Name Locked
were excellent. They were friendly and helpful. They seemed knowledgeable and took plenty of time to explain what they were doing and what they could see when looking at my eyes. I was very impressed with both of them. The eye exam was thorough and easy.

Dr.
Sierra Vista Optometrists Provider Name Locked
is expensive but the exam seemed to be excellent and worth the price. The doctors will spend the time with you to make certain you understand and are comfortable.

However, the rest of the office personnel did not impress me. These are admittedly just little things, but they added up. And for what this office charges things should be better.

My appointment was for 8am. When I scheduled the appt, I asked if I should come a little early to complete new patient paperwork and was told that it would be helpful. But the office was not unlocked until exactly 8am. Why would they tell me I could arrive early?

As they checked me in, I asked a question about a separate contact lense exam pricing that I'd never heard of nor experienced before and got something on the order of...I'm not sure exactly...its for contact lenses. Further questioning brought no better response. Another waiting patient who overheard just rolled her eyes and shook her head, so I'm pretty sure I wasn't the only one who thought the answer to be unacceptable. I almost left to find another doc at this point.

The people in the office don't introduced themselves nor explain what they are doing. This tends to make one feel as though they are being herded through like cattle..."fill this out, come with me, sit here, sit there", etc.

After the exam, I knew which style frames I wanted, so within 5 minutes I was selecting lenses. I tried asking the Optician questions about the differences in lenses and options. The individual started searching for "pamphlets" saying that she used to know this, but couldn't remember. As I don't wear my glasses as much as contact lenses I just picked a middle grade lense to be done with it. Unfortunately, as she didn't tell me about all the options, I didn't get one of the options that I later learned about online. As I made the hasty decision, I'll live with it. But I found this experience the most frustrating. Not professional at all.

(One GOOD thing that I really liked...Instead of the Optician looking at you and making pen markings to position the different parts of progressive lenses, they use a piece of equipment that positions the lenses much more accurately. I see better through these new glasses than any other pair of progressives I've had.)

I returned a week later for the doc to check a contact lense change. Again, Doctor
Sierra Vista Optometrists Provider Name Locked
was great. But, as their pricing seemed high for contacts, I decided not to purchase there and to check around for better prices. I did end up finding better pricing but wanted to give them a
Sierra Vista Optometrists Provider Name Locked
to meet that pricing, so I called back to ask. I explained why I was calling and was put on hold. After waiting over 5 minutes, I hung up.

Overall, it felt like the office staff wasn't engaged in making the experience what it should be considering the pricing. It's unfortunate, as both Dr.

and Dr.
Sierra Vista Optometrists Provider Name Locked
are awesome and the office seems to be equipped with top of the line equipment for examinations, and lense fitting.
