"He is professional and a local! His service area is small but I'm sure if I have an emergency, he'd be able to help no problem. I chose
for my monthly" service because they actually leave a note behind telling you exactly what was done to your pool and anything they noted. I was so impressed and my pool was in need of a good cleaning so
cleaned it that day.

arrived exactly on time. after going over the projects, he got right to work. I really appreciated not having to schedule another day for the work to start after" agreeing on the costs etc. He patched old exhaust vent holes in the concrete wall and deteriorated cinder block in the pool pump room. The biggest project was to replace some wood siding on the second story. We have a mansard roof with inset windows and the T1-11 siding below the windows had become rotted.
replaced it all with
Board cement board and painted it as well. I looks great and he handled a few unexpected situations very well.
is a great guy. easy going and does great work. I was also impressed that
the owner called to follow up on how the project went. I will use them again, no question about it.

"They come out weekly to maintain the pool itself. I am going to have them out in the near future to do a checkup including lubrication, cleaning and so forth of the pool equipment." I have used them over the years because I have had the pool for over 20 years and they have always done a good job. I have used them for some repair work on the pool itself and for repair work on the equipment. They always send out friendly, knowledgeable people. One reason I started using them is that they were here in town. They are a little pricey. I don't remember ever having to wait for them.

My order of preference - first choice a jacuzzi/hot tub repairman (from a jacuzzi/hot tub/sauna distributor), second choice a plumber (many do not work on hot tubs, jacuzzi's and sauna because they cnanot afford to stock parts). An electrician might be able to fix it if it is a connection problem, but such motors are seldom repaired if the problem is internal, just replaced - which would be a jacuzzi repairman/plumber type job.

You will have to find out what your model costs new - looks like they run from about $400 to 1700 depending on size. IF yours is at the lower end, might be just as cheap to replace it, with parts and labor. If not low end, then repair probably works. Typical pricing of components that might have gone out - switch $80, timer/control unit $130, heating element $100 (probably most likely to have failed) - so if only one of these went out, figuring $100-200 labor, probably cheaper to fix it. I would contact your dealer for a better idea.

BTW - here is a Saunatec instruction on maintenance on the heating element and rocks, failure to follow can shorten heating element life, if that is what went out (and probably the simplest to replace) -

I'm sorry to say there aren't many of us on here with adequate experience working on pools, myself included.  My suggestion would be to contact a few local companies specializing in pool renovation and have them give their recommendations and bids for the work, breaking down order of operations so you know what to expect at which stages.  Check Angie's List for referrals in your area and cross check those with the BBB for any unresolved complaints.

Pool Cleaning reviews in Pinetop

Timely and responsive. Much of initial purchase and coordination was done while I was out of town. Heater was installed on day promised. Bill took time to explain the operation of the unit and more importantly took the time to explain how best to use the heater in conjunction with the pool pump and the salt water treatment system. He made extra calls to other experts to make sure his advice was correct for the specific type of pool equipment I have. His team even did extra by painting the pre-existing plastic pipes to protect them from the sun as they did the pipes they installed. Very friendly and knowledgeable.

Another pool service person from a different company (
Pinetop Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
Pools, Galveston) failed to fix my pool pump that he himself had sold me three years ago.
Pinetop Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
was going to "do me a favor" by selling me a replacement pump for $600. I looked for pool repair companies that would come to Galveston Island and had "A" ratings on Angie's List. I found
Pinetop Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
. I called
Pinetop Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
this morning and he was able to respond with same day service and complete a "

repair" in less than half an hour. He just saved me $500. Based on his honesty and professionalism, he's now my "go-to" pool guy.

I have used
Pinetop Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
for years. They always go above and beyond....always. I have nothing but good to say about the company as a whole. Punctual, professional, a great value, always willing to answer questions and help when there is a problem.

Nightmare. The hose for pumping out the water to drain the pool was placed at the end of the resident's driveway. The water went down 3/4 of one block, made a right turn and went down 2/3 the next block before going into a storm drain. Meanwhile, lawns were soaked and driveways had water blocked up due to leaves on the road. This is not your typical event to be compared to a heavy rain. This is water containing chlorine and other chemicals. The attitude of the workers was so what. We're almost finished. We had no other way to empty the pool and that was that. I said I would call the company which I did. Their answering machine took the message. I received no call back despite the workers knowing I was upset. There is no doubt that the workers can reach their boss with their cells. I was put on ignore. Maybe the pool owner is happy with them but other people and surrounding properties were affected and this was not considered in the least. Any conscientious and professional company takes in consideration how their actions affect others.

It was the worst experience I have had since using Angie's List. I called them after the tech came out to schedule the further work that needed to be done and was told they would contact me as soon as they got the estimate together. Three more calls to them and absolutely no response other than they would have someone get back to me. Never heard one word from them. I wasted my money on this deal, I could have poured my own chemicals in the pool. I specifically told them I wanted my Salt System reset and was prepared to pay them the additional money for this work. Very bad customer service and I do not recommend them to anyone.

We were very frustrated from the beginning. We made our two down payments as we were going to be out of town for a week during the construction process. Nothing happened from the time of our payment until we started calling 3 weeks later to see when they would show up for the initial site walk. They tell you how great of job they will do communicating every step of the process. That is not the case. Communication became an issue during the entire job. We would call and check the status of something, they would say they would call to let us know and we would never hear back and would again have to call. Most of our problems with communication concerned their employee

sub contracts out almost the entire job (which was not what we were lead to believe). I will say, their subs do a great job. The pool is very nice and they were timely in the work when we could get it scheduled. When subcontractors are used however, you should get an unconditional release of
Pinetop Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
so that you know that they are receiving payment for the work. Olympus initially wouldn't get us the
Pinetop Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
releases which delayed the job as I refused to pay additional funds until I knew the subs would be paid. After a couple of weeks they sent over conditional
Pinetop Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
releases, which said, "IF we get paid and the funds clear the bank", then this release is good. If Olympus doesn't pay the sub, this release is absolutely worthless to you as the home owner. Finally we got two unconditional
Pinetop Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
releases for the initial work. We never saw another
Pinetop Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
release. I had to start calling the subs to ensure they had been paid because Olympus won't move forward without additional funds but won't provide proof the subs have been paid. To get our pool finished we technically rolled the dice. No liens as of yet, so I assume that we got lucky.
Additionally, our quote stated we would get a
Pinetop Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
Quartz pool finish which is a trademark protected finish. We were very specific that was the finish we wanted. They say that is what we got, but the finish doesn't look like what shows up on the manufacturers website, nor is the name of the finish we selected show up as a color choice on the manufacturer's website. We are unsure what the actual finish is. I would not recommend
Pinetop Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
. The subs do good work, but you can only hope that the sub contractors are paid.

On the scheduled date, I called
Pinetop Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
to see what time he would arrive, he gave me two options, which was really helpful. He arrived on time and went right to work. He had actually done pool maintenance for the people that had previously owned our home, so he already knew where everything was. Being a new pool owner, I had some questions for him and he answered them all patiently and gave me some great advice. He finished the job quickly and efficiently. We will call him again next season, but we'll give him more notice this time. :)
