In April 2014 I filed a work order with First American Home Warranty (FAHW) as my
Pool Heater 400NG stopped working. FAHW assigns you a contractor, you have no choice in the matter as I found out.
AquaDoc Pool Services was the assigned contractor and they contacted me to advise they would be out to my house with a few days to assess the heater. I found out later tht Home Warranty work is the most disliked work in the pool service business, profits are small and the work is tedious. Its done simply because of volume and potential upsells.
So AquaDoc goes to my house within the week, makes an asessment and then makes the repairs within another week. Speed is not the priority with this warranty work.
Also they don't answer their phones, they call you when and if they want to.
I was away from my pool for a few weeks but upon return I found that the heater still wasnt working. Aquadoc goes back out a week later and makes more repairs, still not working.
AquaDoc makes a third trip out stating that they are now going to replce the heaters main circuit board and control panel.
All along AquaDoc doesnt communicate with myself or FAHW.
Another week goes by and I hear nothing so I make some phone calls through FAHW only to determine that AquaDoc Pool Services abandoned my repair and told FAHW the heater is not repairable. I was never told this at anytime by AquaDoc.
At the same time AquaDoc Pool Services abandoned my repair job, my regular pool maintenance tech tells me the pool filter motor has blown and now the pool lights don't work. All as a result of AquaDoc Pool Services touching my pool control panel and electronics.
What is supposed to happen now is AquaDoc is supposed to tell FAHW they cannot repair the heater and it must be replaced. They didn't do anything but run away quietly, after damaging my entire pool system.
So now I not only have no pool heater but I have a pool filter that blew up and no pool lights.
I had pay out of my own pocket to get my regular pool tech to fix the pool filter ASAP because of the AZ heat you cannot leave a pool unfiltered for two days. AquaDoc didn't care about this at all.
This company is not only unprofessional, they are morally and ethically corrupt.
I am also filing a complaint with the AZ BBB and AZ Consumer and Corporate Affairs.
I have retained the advice of a lawyer to review a potential civil suit for damages as well.
This company is also being reviewed by FAHW as they no longer meet their contractor requirements.
Do not use this company for anything.

Fantastic!
was incredibly easy to work with, helpful, and did great work for a very reasonable price. I'd happily have him work on my pool anytime.

We contacted
Goodyear Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
by text on about May 7th, letting him know that we were having trouble with the pool. He responded by saying that he would be out the next day. Our salt system wasn't producing chlorine for some reason. When he didn't show the next day I sent him a text asking for an update. He responded by saying he couldn't come by until the next day. The next day came and the same story. No word from him, texted him and he was too busy to come by. So day 4 after I contacted him and took water samples and my salt cell to
Goodyear Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
's to have everything tested. I suspected phosphates, but it turned out that wasn't the problem. I again texted
Goodyear Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
letting him know the results. This was on May 10th. May 12th he did end up coming out, but I didn't realize it until he was gone. When I inquired, he let me know that he had been there and he said he was going to add a bag of salt and then do a diagnostic. Long story short the cycle of no communication from him / inquiries from me continued until May 19th when he came out again with out notifying me and then sent me a text saying that the problem was that the circuit board would need to be replaced and quoted me $680 plus shipping and service fee.
Because of the high costs, we sought a 2nd opinion and called
Goodyear Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
(the manufacturer). They sent out a technician from an authorized dealer. We found out that the circuit board wasn't the problem at all. It turned out that stabilizers that should have been added to our water, when
Goodyear Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
replaced our salt cell late last year, were absent. I don't know if they were just never added or what the issue was.
Bottom line, we started out loving
Goodyear Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
. Even nominated him for the page of happiness. He was friendly, seemed knowledgeable, and taught us about how to maintain our pool. Unfortunately we will not use him again in the future mainly due to his horrible lack of communication, inability to be there when he stated he would be there and the fact that we saved several hundred dollars by seeking a second opinion before taking his suggestion of replacing the circuit board.

. Pat did an excellent job of thinking through our unusual and rather complex set of pipes and equipment. He is honest and fair with his pricing. He recommended that we switch to a different sanitizer system that is more common but I am committed to using as little chlorine as possible. Pat was on time and very professional. I have used him in the past to repair things and he did a great job and was efficient. I chose a different company to do this work and was sorry i did. I will go back to Pat.

So far, I've just seen the work that they have performed for others, I have had estimates from other providers and they are certainly within the ballpark. Their work is much more professional.
I had them work on the large cracks on the pebble tec on my pool. They are AWESOME. Not only does the edging look like the original, it matches the same color as the rest of the pool!
The crew was super professional and courteous and took extra care in keeping the worksite clean and clear of debris. They also called (as requested) before arrival so that I could lock the dogs in the house so the workers could leave gates open and not have to worry about them.
I might add that I've had the pool drained last year and they couldn't find the drain to the city line. Several crews looked for it and dug all over the yard.....but
Goodyear Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
's guys found it! Took time off the job to drain the pool ... plus now I know where it's at!
They even replaced the aerator and all of the pool filter caps as new! Wow....I would highly recommend
Goodyear Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
and his crew to anyone to have them work on their pool.
It's nice to work with honest, caring professional people that care about their customers...and they guarantee their work.

Did not go as planned from the beginning. Inspections were not passed the whole time they were building. They covered up some work before it was passed. They intended to finish the pool and just ignore the inspections. Had I not found some of this out from the City of Goodyears website we would have never know. The only time the boss called us was for money. He was not the least bit interested in hearing our concerns. Left a message on our home phone saying that I was blowing things out of proportion and making a mountain out of a mole hill. When our heater went on our pool just days after it was installed he told me he was too busy in meetings to phone the company for warranty. It was my job to do that.. I could go on and on, but I will finish by saying that when he threatened to put a lean on our property for the last monies we owed him was the last straw. We paid him out but our travertine tiles are not satisfactory etc etc. In our opinion do not use this company.

I hired
Goodyear Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
to maintain chemical balance of pool, clean filters, and report any problems that need to be address while we were away for the summer.
I read the other reviews: all A ratings. Unfortunately, these reviews do not match my experience with
Goodyear Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
.

On September 9, 2013, we came home to a deep green pool: not a
Goodyear Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
pool. The pump motor had stopped working at some point. I called
Goodyear Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
Grant ( company owner) and asked why he failed to provide the weekly pool service I was paying for. He said he was servicing the pool on a weekly basis. I then asked him, if he had been servicing the pool weekly, why my pool was green. It was so green I could not even see the vacuum hose beyond 6 inches from the surface of the pool. He said, "because the pump motor is not working". My next questions were, if he was servicing the pool weekly and knew the pump wasn't working, why he didn't call me so I could have it fixed before the pool turned green. His explanation was that, " he was waiting for a pump motor that he might (maybe, not for sure) get for free from another customer, and "he was going to give free to me and install" - free motor, free install. He said he "was then going to clean up my pool - for free I'm assuming because he was responsible for allowing it to go green. All this pretentious service is much more then I was paying for, and way beyond what I would ever expect from anyone - even the Mother

of pool service.
I suspect he, knowing that no one was around to observe, wasn't servicing the pool weekly: perhaps he was showing up every other week or once every 3rd week judging from the condition of the pool. His normal routine is to leave weekly notes reporting the status of the pool. The last written note he left giving the status of the pool was dated August 16, 2013. The note said he added acid to the pool, and it made no mention of any problem with the pump motor. We returned home to the green pool on September 9th. My guess is that he returned to service the pool perhaps two or three weeks from the date on the last note and discovered a broken pump and a green pool. Judging from the condition of the pool, it could not have deteriorated to the state it was in in just six or seven days.

Grant was very prompt with
Goodyear Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
the monthly checks I was sending him for the service. Unfortunately , he was not diligent at providing the service the checks were paying for.
After I fixed the pump and cleaned up the pool myself, I called
Goodyear Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
asking if he thought he should reimburse the monthly fees he charged for the service he failed to fulfill. He agreed to reimburse me for the months of August and September. He said he would mail a check. I never received the check.
He is not aware that I subscribe to Angie's List. So, he's in for a bit of a surprise when he sees this review. And I expect we will all see a prompt response from
Goodyear Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
when he reads this review and attempts to explain all this away.

It was time to replace a 9 year old pump, and AZ law now forbids replacement
with anything other than a variable speed pump... which means a lot more
expense.
Goodyear Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
came on 6/28 for a free estimate. He recommended the PENTAIR INTELLIFLO
VS-3050 (VARIABLE SPEED PUMP).
I contacted the company a few days later and worked out the final pricing which
included the Angie's List discount. End price was $1184 (including $105 tax!),
with the company also receiving the $200 APS credit. The price was a special
advertised on their website, and included a 5 yr parts & labor contract, though
the website indicates quite a few exceptions from the warranty may apply.
Goodyear Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
did the install on 7/10/13. Workmanship was good, and he spent a good
deal of time explaining and having me practice adjusting the settings. The
manual is reasonably clear, but the methodology for adjustments is not
user-friendly at all.
Typical summer settings are 4 hrs at high speed and 4 at low speed; the
high speed (running at about 1400+ Watts) powers my pop-up Caretaker cleaning
system, and the low setting (about 270 Watts) just circulates the water. (I
have had excellent results with my Caretaker in-ground system, and especially
with their parts warranty over the last 9 years-- though that warranty like
Love's -- is not transferable when the home is sold!)
The pump itself has its controls on top under a very cheesy cover that would not
really be waterproof. It reminded me of the battery compartment cover on a very
cheap
Goodyear Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
car. Not even as good as the weatherized doors on my inexpensive ($35)
watering control system. Seems intentionally designed to fail and force
expensive repairs.
My solution was to invert a clear plastic folder-filing box over the pump tilted
about 40 degrees, such that rain would not get to the pump, but it would have
plenty of air circulation from 3 sides. Some method to minimize direct sun is
also recommended.
I found 38 reviews of this pump on the internet, 7 of which were pretty LOW--
largely due to early failures. But other similar pumps had equally sad reviews.
Bottom line is that I was happy with the Love Care folks, both install folks,
and especially the honesty of the boss,
Goodyear Pool Cleaners Provider Name Locked
Love.
Not so confident about the quality of the Pentair pump, but did not find a really
better alternative. Am trusting Love Care's judgement.
