"I live in La
where the soils are very poor and everyone has concerns about sliding and erosion issues. In preparation for the upcoming winter," I contacted
to consult what would be needed to improve my situation and hillside.
is the ultimate in class. Instead of sensationalizing things and playing on my fears, he was very level head and walked the perimeter of my job and thoroughly discussed the condition of my house and the slopes in the backyard towards the canyon. In essence, my fears were not founded and he assured me that I have already done what needs to be done and no further works is needed. I strongly believe, if it was any other contractor, he would have submitted a proposal in the thousands of dollars for un-necessary work. I fully intend on using him for any issues that may arise in the future and have already recommended him to my neighbors for foundation and drainage issues. Thank you
for being so ethical and moral with your work and your company

"The men were skilled and relocated the
box so the plows and pavers would not destroy it. They were polite and professional and took care" of the home repair quickly and kept me informed as they went along. When National Grid came to check how the project was going, the rep told me that he had worked with them in the past and they were skilled professionals at what they did. I was very pleased with the job and how I was kept in the loop as they repaired the water and sewer lines.

Take off the lid to the tank and check inside.  There should be a small hose going into a larger pipe near the middle of the tank right next to the flapper.  When you flush the toilet water squirts from that hose into the pipe.  If it isn't in place put it back so that water goes down that pipe once again.  This is what refills your bowl.  If water does not come out of the little hose check to see if it is kinked or blocked.  You can take it off and blow air through it.  Don't worry, it's only clean water that goes through the hose.  If it is clear and water does not come out of the short pipe where it attaches on the flush valve then there is a clog in that valve and it will probably need to be replaced.  These are $10-20 at any home improvement store and even Wal-Mart.  The instructions are simple and you can do it yourself in about 15 minutes.  Check the washer on the supply hose to the toilet while it is off to replace the flush valve.  If it is old or worn replace the hose as well.  It is cheap insurance of only a few dollars which is a lot cheaper than a failed hose or washer causing water to leak.

If you don't feel comfortable replacing the fill valve, if it is needed, a handyman can do it fairly cheap.  Whereas a plumber or other contractor will have a minimum charge of $100-200 a handyman might do it for about $50.

From the sounds of it, you have a clog between the floor drain and the connection to the city sewer (unless you have a septic tank).  The lower flow rates of sinks / showers / dishwashers probable don't cause a backup like the washing machine does.  A couple of suggestions.

1.  Snake the drain line with a spade tip snake, twisting the snake as you advance it.  This should clear the partial blockage.

 2.  If feasable, have your washing machine discharge into a utility sink and put a strainer on the drain to catch the clothing fibre (fibres and grease from the sink probably made the clog in the first place not to mention a garbage disposal).

3.  Replace your floor drain with one that has a backflow preventer (looks like there is a ping pong ball in it).

 Good Luck

It is not uncommon for a plumber to have to go get the parts necessary to repair and complete the job.  It is very hard to determine what the problem is over the phone and it is not until the repair process begins that the parts needed to resolve the problem is discovered.  It may also depend on if the plumber is using hourly rates or per job rates.  I would hope the time to get the parts would be minimal and the charge would be as well!

Well , you've certainly started a debate that will endure forever , but personally , having worked with both products , PEX is a better product . Now granted , the 1st time i used it

I was not impressed , cause it leaked.......NOT because the product was at fault, it was because I did not understand how to use the product !

The trick to using Pex , is to make certain that the fittings seat, they MUST be pushed together with force, and if you do not push with force to get the seat to seal, it leaks .

Therefore , when using PEX , you have constantly to be aware of leaving room to make your connections -Properly !

The beauty of PEX is that it bends , it is flexible and decreases the labor factor ,although the connection costs are often 100-300 % higher than copper , but again , it can cut labor costs in half  and it is safer to work with,  NO FLAMEs!

FYI: CPVC and PEX are two different materials and installed differently.  PEX is not intended to be glued but instead has special crimp fittings.  PEX is a brand name of one product that is manufactured slightly differently by others as well so it is important that the same brand fittings are used to match the pipe material.

Mobile homes used CPVC for years and some still do.  It works fine but is not as strong as a properly soldered copper pipe system.  Is the contractor installing this new plumbing a licensed plumber?  I'd be surprised if he is since he's using CPVC and not PEX (or similar) or copper.  PEX pipe is even cheaper than CPVC when run by a knowledgable plumber.  It doesn't require nearly as many joints since it comes in rolls and can flex through spaces easily.

There are some groups raising a fuss about BPA and other chemicals found in plastics that don't like the use of CPVC, PVC, or PEX pipe.  I haven't seen the results of any lab tests to confirm or dispute their concerns.  As far as durability goes it's fairly safe as long as it's properly installed and secured.  It is not as susceptible to hard water damage as copper.  It absolutely must be insulated along it's entire length to protect it from contact to other materials as well as freezing.  Also, the fixtures in the house need to be grounded electrically since the pipe itself provides no electrical protection against accidental shock or electrocution.  In a copper plumbed house the system is grounded so static electricity, a short in a wire near a water line, or lightning strike will carry the current out through the pipe instead of through the water to you, ideally.

If it's installed correctly you should be fine but make sure the contractor knows what he is doing and follows the proper procedures to use CPVC pipe.

It is usually cheaper to remove part of the ceiling below and patch it after the leak has been repaired.  Remember that water can travel before settling in one area, causing the spot you've seen.  Just because it is below the toilet does not mean that the toilet is the problem.  The cheapest option is to pull the toilet and check the floor around the wax ring to see if it has been leaking.  A new wax ring only costs a few dollars.  When was the last time you caulked the shower in that bathroom?  The water can leak around the corners or at the door (if you have one) and travel along the floor joists until it pools in a lower spot on the ceiling below, then seep through.  It could also be a seal at the drain of the tub or shower.

I get a few calls a year for this sort of thing.  It's usually something simple but can be a nightmare to diagnose, especially if the problem is intermittent.  Start with the simple possibilities and use deductive reasoning to narrow the possibilities.  Before you do a lot of damage it may pay off to hire a reputable contractor to help you make sure you've exhausted all of the imple and more obvious possibilities.

Drain Pipe Installation reviews in Pine Bluff

DO NOT HIRE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hired Mr.
Pine Bluff Drain Pipe Contractors Provider Name Locked
to fix a septic tank issue where he had replaced a pump in one of two holding tanks. After 2 weeks, the alarm on my septic rang out and, as I was out of town, relied upon Mr.
Pine Bluff Drain Pipe Contractors Provider Name Locked
to fix the problem. He stated that both my pumps needed to replaced as did the entire drain field to cost me over $6000,he had already replaced the one pump for over $1000. He demanded $800 upfront, which I had to have my neighbors give him because I was out of town, then demanded another $3600 because his suppliers would not give him credit (red flag). I hired another company to come out and pump out the tank that would hold me until I got back. When the qualified company came out and subsequently fixed the problem, the problem was that
Pine Bluff Drain Pipe Contractors Provider Name Locked
did not put in a high enough horsepower pump in the first place and the liquid was not getting to the other pumping station so it filled the tank and the alarm went off.
Pine Bluff Drain Pipe Contractors Provider Name Locked
put a 1hp versus the correct 2hp pump and that WAS the problem. My problem was created by Mr.
Pine Bluff Drain Pipe Contractors Provider Name Locked
which he was going to "fix" for over $6000. The other pump as well as the drainfield was inspected by the qualified technician and was found the be fine. I am currently trying to get my $800 back from Mr.
Pine Bluff Drain Pipe Contractors Provider Name Locked
because there is absolutely no evidence that he did anything at all but cannot find him now. If anyone knows how to reach him, please let me know. There is a law suit waiting for him. I cannot tell anyone reading this enough to STAY AWAY from him as in my opinion, and what I have been through, he is a con man waiting to figure out how to fraudulently separate you from your money. There should be a negative star(s) for people who are con artists and actively look to take advantage of people. DO NOT HIRE HIM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is a professional company from initial estimate through project management and work execution. Knowledgeable workers who were timely, kept us informed, and kept the work site clean every day.

This was hands down the best experience we have ever had with a landscape company! We highly recommend them!
After the strong rains in April/May we wanted to improve the drainage in our front yard and shrub beds. We met with several landscape companies to determine how they would approach the drainage improvement. It quickly became apparent that most were not knowledgeable. Our estimates ran from $1500 - $10,000 for the work.
After much research and numerous conversations with our friends, all roads kept pointing to Tx Oasis and
Pine Bluff Drain Pipe Contractors Provider Name Locked
Block. So, we called him. He came out, did a very thorough and logical assessment -- taking levels of our yard, assessing pipe size, flow rates,
surface drain placements, down spout tie offs, and listening to our observations and concerns he provided us with an estimate. It wasn't the cheapest estimate but it was the most well thought out and thorough.
We contracted with him to do the work. His crew came out and in 3 days they were finished. They took great care to not damage our shrubbery and grass. The team that was out here was very knowledgeable. We had a couple questions and they took their time to not only answer them but provide an explanation. They are simply superb!
We also had a sprinkler system leak that 2 other irrigation companies could not diagnose. So, we call Tx Oasis.
Pine Bluff Drain Pipe Contractors Provider Name Locked
sent a team of 2 out to our house. Within 30 minutes they had it diagnosed and were replacing the lines. It turned out several of the lines had hairline cracks in them.
After observing the work of many other landscape/irrigation companies, it's clear that TX Oasis not only has the text book knowledge of how drainage/irrigation/landscape works, they have practical, logical skill in spades! Their prices are a bargain for what you get. When they finish their work, your problems are solved and your systems are functioning in tip top form.
We highly recommend them. If there was an A++ rating, we'd gladly give it to them. They are superb!

I have used

twice (
Pine Bluff Drain Pipe Contractors Provider Name Locked

Pine Bluff Drain Pipe Contractors Provider Name Locked
, the owner of the company, was very responsive and the work provided by is excellent.

Working with
Pine Bluff Drain Pipe Contractors Provider Name Locked
and Madronas Bros was a delight. He was very responsive and was willing to work with us to adjust the scope of work to get the price within our budget. Their estimate was higher than the others we received, but the level of customer service and the professionalism of his team made this the best value by far.
They redug and replaced 100 feet of exterior french drainage system in yard; including perforated pipe and gravel. They removed the concrete single car garage floor and replaced with perforated piping and gravel, new concrete floor poured.
They replaced some stonework on the front stairs, re-pointed the bricks, repaired the surface of the foundation and installed a 10 x 10 blue stone patio. The results exceeded my expectations.
The crew kept the work site as clean and organized as they could, and
Pine Bluff Drain Pipe Contractors Provider Name Locked
always kept us in the loop as to what was happening and what to expect next. I will definitely use them again for any landscaping, stonework or drainage projects.

Our house is in a low spot and we get a lot of the neighbors' water every time it rains. Our builder failed to install a working drainage system when our house was built. Our old drainage network was pretty sad but the squirrels that lived in it liked it quite a bit!
Even though our builder tried to build up the back yard, without proper drainage, the erosion over the years caused a lot of gullies.
Pine Bluff Drain Pipe Contractors Provider Name Locked
and Moisture Control installed five new catch basins. They had to concrete one of the catch basins in place and Mr.
Pine Bluff Drain Pipe Contractors Provider Name Locked
did a wonderful job on the concrete work. The new drainage pipe network that they installed is quite sturdy. The placement of everything was thoughtfully done. They were careful to avoid damaging the utilities and our recently repaired sprinkler system.
Last year the gutter installers did not properly attach the new gutters to the old (builder provided and squirrel infested) drainage network. Mr.
Pine Bluff Drain Pipe Contractors Provider Name Locked
corrected those prior errors from last year by properly connecting all of our gutters to the drainage network.
He and his crew found a lot of surprises in our yard while they were digging. They toted away an old stump, some of the prior squirrel eaten drainage pipes, and they even removed some old bricks and rocks left by our builder.
Their work exceeded my expectations and now we can move on with future projects. I would highly recommend their company.
- Carol B.

I had several people come and give estimates for drainage work I needed. There was no comparison, he came out scoped out a plan, gave an estimate and put it in beautifully. His customer service was good, the people I worked with were great, he came back out and tested it to make sure it was put in properly, and even called to make sure everything was still going ok.
- Richard L.

Excellent!! Worth the wait (sometimes booked out a bit for estimate and work- probably because they are SO GOOD!). Despite many challenges (random pipes, buried irrigation, electric, AC etc.) they got the job done and it looks fabulous! NO damage to anything at all- The
Pine Bluff Drain Pipe Contractors Provider Name Locked
team was meticulous and thorough- did most of the work by hand given poor accessibility in my yard. They were even so kind as to move the concrete scrap from the AC pad a fair distance to where I could use it to prevent errosion. I couldn't be happier. Looking forward to the next rain practically! They explained what they were doing and why- and were always here for estimates and work on time. I have a large yard with more future projects and will certainly call on
Pine Bluff Drain Pipe Contractors Provider Name Locked
going forward.
