"When the siding was removed we discovered much more damage than I knew about. The water had rotted away the plywood sheeting, and into the wood framing and roof." There was major repair required on 2 walls, the and entire length of the chimney. *Though they had scheduled 2 days, the additional work ended up taking a total of 5 days, but they worked every day inducing Saturday util everything was completed. *before leaving everyday they cleaned up the the yard thoroughly and covered all exposed wood with tyvek sheeting *all of the crew was experienced, knowledgeable and professional. *they were able to quickly do extras I requested, such as adding new hot and cold faucets on external wall. *they managed to save money by
existing siding. *they are a small but efficient crew. No sub contractors, no sales people Highly recommend RanGo. They did not try to sell me anything I didn't need, or suggest any work that didn't need to be done.

-anthony C.

"Prompt, courteous, professional, extremely competent. Excellent work, cleaned the work site completely when done. Showed me photographic evidence of work done when" I was not around. I will be using them again. HIGHLY recommended.

Two notes #1 20 feet is going to cost you more per foot that 100 feet.  #2 All prices are relative to Your market ie Omaha is less expensive than St Lious.  Here expect to pay on the 100 foot job $5 to $6 per foot of gutter (5" aluminum) plus the $4 to $5 a foot for the downspouts and $15 to $20 for soffit and facsia covering ie vinyl soffit panels and painted or vinyl clad aluminum covering the fascia.  In the trade a soffit & fascia job.

Unless you are constructing a French Drain (dry well filled with rock or debris and no exit) style system you use a non perforated system.  Cut the plastic flush on the angle where it daylights if the slope is great enough,  If you need it river rock can be used to construct a dry riverbed type drainage ditch out from the daylighted drain.

Short answer: It's up to you. Many home remodeling contractors, including exterior remodelers, don't expect a tip since they've already provided a set price within the contract, but if you really feel that they've gone above and beyond, you may feel obliged to tip them. Angie herself answered a very simliar question in a recent column: Should I tip my remodeling contractor?

Not knowing what type of eaves (the lower edge of the roof) you had before the new soffits were intalled I have to guess what might have happened. If you had closed eves (no soffits, just rafter tails with blocking between) before as was done on some older homes it is possible they removed or drilled holes through to the attic. When this was done there should have been a baffle installed to direct the air flow up and over the insulation. This would only be possible for the soffit installer to do if the wood blocking was removed and not just had holes drilled in it. If the insulation contractor did not go all the way to the exterior wall that could very well be the cause or it he did not make sure the insulation was pushed down to make contact with the ceiling material. If the house was never cold before I would bet the problem is at the eaves. You should call the insulation company for an answer.

The ice build-up in the gutter should not, provided they are properly attached and solid, rip out the gutter.

When you get snow slides and large chunks of frozen precip that let go and slide down the roof with velocity, those are what tear off the gutters and create damage.

If you are concerned about the snow load, a snow rake and/or a proper roofer can remove some of the accumulated snow.

Some ice damming is unavoidable in the correct conditions but I would urge you to look into proper ventilation of the roof and air sealing and insulation.  This will reduce your home's inclination to form these ice dams in the future.

Gutter Installation reviews in Mountain Home

By nature, I am a somewhat skeptical person. When I buy a product or service I generally research it online and ask the opinion of others who have purchased similar items. My wife and I are in the
Mountain Home Gutter Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
for a leaf/gutter protection system. My short list of products included
Mountain Home Gutter Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
. I was very impressed with the system and decided to call for a free estimate. The salesperson,
Mountain Home Gutter Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
, arrived promptly at the agreed upon time, and after seeing his presentation I was even more impressed. I truly believe that this is the gutter protection system that will meet our needs.
Then, the games began.
This was billed as a no pressure product demonstration. While
Mountain Home Gutter Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
was very nice and seemed to be extremely knowledgeable, it quickly felt like I was trying to buy a used car (no offense to used car salespeople). He measured our house to determine our needs, and said we would need 279 linear feet. I estimated it at about 250 linear feet based upon our builder plans. However, he is a professional and I am not, so let’s go with his number. He quoted a price of $29 per linear foot, and hit me with a price of $8,091! I nearly fell out of my chair and desperately wanted the last 90 minutes of my life back. Then began the “discounts”. He pulled a Cincinnati Home Show coupon out of his bag for 15% off, and smiled. Next he asked if either of us were AARP members. Umm, nope. Have you ever served in the military? Yep. Thank you for your service and oh, and another 10% off. I think he would have continued with AAA, Kiwanis, Knights of Columbus, Rotary Club,

, etc. until he found something. Then he takes another $250 off for a whole house coupon. So, at this point we are still at $5,939. He said, “how does that sound? We take cash, checks, credit cards and offer financing”…another red flag!!! I told him that was still about double what I had budgeted. He smiled and asked where I got that number and I said it is what I can afford. He said, “well
sometimes we can bundle residential jobs with commercial jobs we are doing in the area, and get you a really good deal. Let me make a phone call.” He did, and of course they had a commercial job locally and they could get us an outstanding deal of only $3,212 including tax! $3,212 was still about $700 more than I had budgeted, but I could see the value in the system and was willing to go $3,000, no higher. He got very cool and said he couldn’t do it and
Mountain Home Gutter Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
money, and that when he left the deal went with him. I said I’m sorry that we can’t do business then. He backed off and said he would hold the price until 9 am the next morning so we could sleep on it. I countered and said, let me give you my cell phone number and if you or the company change your mind, you can give me a call. He declined to take my number.
To recap –
Mountain Home Gutter Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
seems to be a good product/system. Their no pressure presentation was anything but no pressure. They play used car salesman games with their pricing. I appreciate a good product at a fair price, not “discounts” of over 65% off an artificially inflated retail price. I wish I could review the actual product/service, but I cannot and will not pay a penny more than what I offered him.
If a company representative would care to contact me and get me a price I can afford without the games, I would be happy
to update this review.

The Leaf Guards were installed as promised. However, we found out after the job was "complete", that gutter cleaning did not include cleaning the outside of the gutter. This is one of the reasons Triton was hired in the first place. Triton cleaned the outside of the gutter over the front of the garage and was under the impression they were providing a courtesy service. We asked them to also clean the gutter of the back of the garage, which they did and apologized for the confusion. My primary take away from this experience is to have the contractor put in writing what they plan to do, in every detail, before agreeing to the deal.

I was very impressed by the work done by
Mountain Home Gutter Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
. He provided detailed information not only on the gutters of a recently purchased home but also on some roofing issues that we will have to keep an eye on in the future.
Mountain Home Gutter Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
took photos and clearly explained what to look for and where. i am also very reassured about the quality and state of our current gutter system. It was well worth the money spent on this deal. At no time did he try to upsell anything, which is an indicator of an honest contractor. I will definitely call on them in the future.

Was extremely pleased with the service we received. They worked with us to get our gutters done in the time frame that we needed. Gutter installation took one day. They even took care installing around my tomato garden. After one year, gutters are holding up great. Thanks so much.

I purchased an AngiesList Big Deal for a roof inspection. The inspection was scheduled shortly after the purchase. Korry inspected the roof and pointed out some broken shingles and missing flash plates around the vents.

.arrived one day early, installed complete wrap of seamless rain gutter and down spouts. Was professionally done, left area clean, finished job in approx. 3 hours. Note: the $700.00 dollar quoted includes down spouts in footage, not 200 feet of gutter.

We hired
Mountain Home Gutter Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
to refinish our stamped concrete patio. It was difficult to accomplish this spring with all the rain, but
Mountain Home Gutter Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
was willing to come out on a weekend to complete the job. He worked hear and removed the sealer from our concrete patio. He came back when it was dry and completed the resealing of our patio. Initially, it looked beautiful! I noticed a few days later that there were multiple areas that did not look good…the sealant had not adhered. I contacted
Mountain Home Gutter Repair Contractors Provider Name Locked
and advised him of the issue and we agreed that we would wait to see if other areas developed the same issue. He indicated that I could contact him when we were ready to remedy the issues. He was very nice to work with!

I contacted the company through Angie's list for an estimate on repairing damaged gutters from last winter. They called me back right away and we scheduled an appointment a couple of days later. I was very pleased that they were willing to call me about 30 minutes prior to arriving so that I could just leave work for an hour to meet them there and not take a full day off. He explained the estimate completely and was very helpful in letting me know what needed and did not need to be done based in the information I gave him. In other words, he didn't try to oversell me since not all my gutters were damaged from the storm. While the cost was a bit higher than expected, that was not due to their pricing, but rather the shoddy job done by the last owner of the house, so the job was a bit more complicated than a straight replacement.
The installers were professional and cleaned up after themselves completely. The gutters looked great and they seemed to take great pride in their work.
