"Superior Contract Services was prompt and professional. They addressed all my questions and gave me feedback on what repairs were necessary to keep my home protected." I had storm damage to my home and the repairs they performed on my roof, siding and gutters have prevented any more leaking. It also looks great. Thank you!

"We were not confident that the gutters installed by another company were performing as they should.
was kind enough to come out and take" a look. He was most professional in his evaluation and reassured us that the gutters looked fine, but that we should make sure we were completely satisfied before we paid for the job. His manner and professionalism would lead us to use his services in the future.

Gutter Repair & Replacement

Your gutters’ downspouts perform a critical task in keeping your home dry. So why aren't they working? One highly rated provider shares four possible reasons.

Two notes #1 20 feet is going to cost you more per foot that 100 feet.  #2 All prices are relative to Your market ie Omaha is less expensive than St Lious.  Here expect to pay on the 100 foot job $5 to $6 per foot of gutter (5" aluminum) plus the $4 to $5 a foot for the downspouts and $15 to $20 for soffit and facsia covering ie vinyl soffit panels and painted or vinyl clad aluminum covering the fascia.  In the trade a soffit & fascia job.

Short answer: It's up to you. Many home remodeling contractors, including exterior remodelers, don't expect a tip since they've already provided a set price within the contract, but if you really feel that they've gone above and beyond, you may feel obliged to tip them. Angie herself answered a very simliar question in a recent column: Should I tip my remodeling contractor?
?

Not knowing what type of eaves (the lower edge of the roof) you had before the new soffits were intalled I have to guess what might have happened. If you had closed eves (no soffits, just rafter tails with blocking between) before as was done on some older homes it is possible they removed or drilled holes through to the attic. When this was done there should have been a baffle installed to direct the air flow up and over the insulation. This would only be possible for the soffit installer to do if the wood blocking was removed and not just had holes drilled in it. If the insulation contractor did not go all the way to the exterior wall that could very well be the cause or it he did not make sure the insulation was pushed down to make contact with the ceiling material. If the house was never cold before I would bet the problem is at the eaves. You should call the insulation company for an answer.

The ice build-up in the gutter should not, provided they are properly attached and solid, rip out the gutter.

When you get snow slides and large chunks of frozen precip that let go and slide down the roof with velocity, those are what tear off the gutters and create damage.

If you are concerned about the snow load, a snow rake and/or a proper roofer can remove some of the accumulated snow.

Some ice damming is unavoidable in the correct conditions but I would urge you to look into proper ventilation of the roof and air sealing and insulation.  This will reduce your home's inclination to form these ice dams in the future.

Prompt, courteous, did a beautiful job avoiding our sensor light and installed on a Saturday since timing was an issue for us.

Ice dams have been a constant challenge in the winter. We tried just about every "fix" and absolutely nothing made the ice dams go away. After last winter, I promised myself I was never going to get up on a ladder with a hammer to chip ice off my gutters, so I started to do some research. Last summer, I came across the Gutterglove "IceBreaker" system on the internet and decided to give them a try. I contacted

last fall, and his team installed the IceBreaker system on all of our gutters. We haven't had much snow up to this point in the winter, but we just got 33" of global warming. I can thankfully say that for the first time in 23 years of owning our house, we don't have to worry about ice dams anymore. The Ice Breaker system simply works as advertised. The Gutterglove website has some videos on how the IceBreaker system works, so you should check that out in advance if you're thinking about having the system installed.

's installers did a great job and I couldn't be more pleased. Contractors will recommend all sorts of "fixes" for ice dams (eg "ice and water" membrane, vented soffits) and I've tried them all, but nothing has worked to solve the problem like the IceBreaker system. Many, many thanks

installed gutters on our triple dodecagon (12 sided structures) home, 3 car garage and pool house which was a very challenging endeavor. There are so many miter cuts and

that I was amazed he could do it. He did a FANTASTIC job! He also did it quickly, neatly and promptly. If you need gutters replaced - CALL HIM! I am so glad I did. I would be happy to speak with anyone wanting a reference and pictures of the excellent job he did for us.
I also hired him for a custom chimney cap which was approximately 8' x 2'. He got that to me in 2 days for $370.00 and had it installed in no time at all! I would hire these guys for any projects. I just can't say enough about how easy it was to work with him and when he left - there was NO mess and my gutters and chimney cap look PERFECT!
