"We were introduced to
(formerly ACH Group) in 2012. The wife and I
were interested in finishing our basement and we contacted
because of the glowing Angie’s List reviews. After contacting
, the owner (
inspected our basement, presented us with an impressive array of possibilities
and suggested that we check his references. We were sold on the spot but

dictated that we obtain additional estimates and check out the references. Soon after
we decided on using Basement Masters but before they started the work, we noticed
substantial cracks in our basement walls and we put the basement finishing project on hold.
Although Basement Masters did not repair the cracks in the basement wall, they were instrumental in
helping to identify a specialist to help us get this work done. After the
cracks were fixed,
was in their busy season and the work did
not start until December 2013.
Our overall customer experience once the work began was amazing and the most
remarkable part was that Basement Masters honored the 2012 prices although the price
quoted in 2012 had already expired and construction costs had significantly increased. We
are picky customers and
understood that and reacted accordingly. For
example, after
framed the bathroom, we wished for a bigger bathroom
and despite the work that had already been done,
re-framed the bathroom
and made it larger without any additional charges. Also, our
basement had numerous ill-placed pipes and gadgets and

expertly designed the corresponding bulk-heads into elegant and inconspicuous
solution(s). Other examples of them willing to work with picky customers is that when
we decided to use our wholesale buying club for the kitchenette cabinets instead of using
Basement Master’s recommended supplier,
did not rush us or our decisions
although it costed the project extra weeks of time. Also, when the granite wholesaler tried to
sell the unique granite top that we had placed on hold to another customer who
was willing to acquire a bigger selection of granite then we were buying,
Basement Master went to bat for us with the granite wholesaler and the granite wholesaler
eventually relented and gave us the granite that we had placed on hold. Although
it took us longer to complete our basement based on our need to first resolve
issues with the cracks and our overall pickiness, the final results were amazing
and we are extremely pleased with the outcome. Even our neighbors and friends have
remarked on the craftsmanship and high quality of our basement. We give

and the
crew outstanding
for price, quality,
professionalism and customer experience and we are confident that if you select
them that you will have a similar experience.

and his team did a great job with our loft bed/storage space. It was not an easy build, with several restrictions due to ceiling height and room size. They came up with creative ideas, were always approachable, honest and a pleasure to deal with. Despite a few issues with the building management,
and team were optimistic, good humored and saw the project through. We're super-happy with the result.

(aka Bill) the owner, set himself apart from all other contractors by his FOLLOW-THROUGH! If he said he would do something - he DID IT! My husband and I were impressed by his timely response to getting our bid to us, his high level of attention to detail in the bid (we could understand how he came up with final costs). This was something "

" and obscured by other contractors we consulted.
Bill worked with our schedule and was flexible on work hours. He also allowed us to purchase materials ourself ( again something other contractors refused to consider). Bill was on time, or if something came up, he would alert us right away (again, other contractors stood us up multiple times).
Bill's attention to detail on the way the project progressed was impressive. He oversaw personally his employee's work and ensured it was of excellent quality before progressing to the next stage.
Finally, Bill was respectful in interacting not only with us, but his employees. I would often hear him complementing work done by his staff, or saying 'please' and ' thank you' as they worked.
It was a pleasure to work with

and his crew were absolutely professional in their handling of my house. They were on site 2+ weeks working and they did a great job. They have shown to be honest hard working guys and my family and I got to know them a little bit while they were here. This type of work is not cheap and there are not many contractors who do it. It is essential that you find the right guys to do it, especially if (as in my case) you need for parts of the wall to be opened up and then the stucco in a particular section put back to match the existing stucco.
They are meticulous in the work they do and they want you to understand what they are doing. They took time to walk around the house on a couple of occasions with my wife and me to show what they were doing. The repairs look really good and I have confidence that my house is now in better shape and not at risk now for moisture related problems as well as termites, ants etc.
I have every confidence that if I would find something later on that
Lepanto Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
forgot to do, he would ensure that he made it right, but honestly I am confident I will not.
The guys cleaned up whatever messes they made at the end of each day and left everything the way they found it. There is really nothing not to like about this business, other than having to write them a check LOL. It was worth the work they did.
"He arrived on time, was friendly and very helpful. Some of the repairs I had were silly little things but I live alone and have no one to do that kind of thing. He willingly did everything I asked of him without an eye roll or a sarcastic remark. He did a beautiful and efficient job of hanging my heavy things and took the time to do all the other repair things correctly. HOWEVER, I FEEL THAT ANGIE'S LIST MISREPRESENTED HIM. They advertised him as a handyman($199 for 6 hrs of handyman work) and he truly is a contractor. He had a helper with him who was no help doing all my little dinky things BUT had he been doing a construction project, the 2nd person WOULD have been very helpful. I thought about it for a while and realized I didn't really feel like I got my 6 hours worth and called him and told him and he was VERY willing to make it up to me. As I said, he was looking for construction/remodeling work, which is why he had the helper with him. I would hire him again in a minute. He is looking to make people happy and construction/remodeling is what he and his partner love to do. He was SO willing to make things right and never made me feel like I was bothering him. A+
"Trying to get a hold of customer service is an issue, then once reached, it can be a challenge getting the technician to respond. The installation seemed subpar from the first (subcontracted) installer and these items are hard to open and close/lock. The patio door may have to be replaced for a 3rd time (since

'13 install. The demo was nice on what the product is supposed to do, but it does not.
I wished I had spent the additional money on the other company, where it would have been done right the first time and not having to deal with these issues. I would not recommend the company or the products.
"First let me say that we were very satisfied with
Lepanto Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
Improvement. The job they did was indeed
Lepanto Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
, from the perspective of the work they did. Let me briefly describe this project. We needed to replace all of the copper water supply piping in the entire house. We also needed to replace the master bathroom tub with a walk in shower. The house is a three level private residence. The planned work was expected to extend through 10 rooms of the house as well as some exterior work. Because of the extent of the work, we were expecting to use 4 different contractors. For the purpose of this report, we were looking for a general contractor to perform the tile, plasterboard and painting work, as well as overseeing the plumbing work. We were dealing directly with the shower/counter installers and the shower door installers. Due to the extent of the work, we interviewed about 6 contractors.

Improvement had one of the best proposals, and their demeanor instilled confidence.

's proposal was in line with others we had received.
Lepanto Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
has a very talented detail oriented group of workers. They did everything that we asked them to do. The only deviation from the price agreed on at the beginning of the project was a $300.00 increase due to a change of scope we asked for. Even that was a very reasonable price for the work they did. During the course of the work, there were 2 major issues that arose, that were in no way due to
Lepanto Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
's work. First, the floor in the master bathroom was out of level by 3/4", which caused a lot of effort to get the floor level for the 2 foot long tiles we were having them install. The 2nd problem was due to a measurement/fabrication error by the shower provider. This caused
Lepanto Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
to rip down the Durock he had already installed, install shims on top of the existing studs and reinstall the Durock. This caused at least one day of delay. Not once did

approach me to try to adjust the price of the project. Like I said at the beginning of this article, the work that they did was truly

"I received various quotes and though

was slightly higher than all the rest, I quickly understood why. The quote was so detailed, I knew exactly what I was getting, the cost of everything down to the sq ft., etc. Because I was doing a complete kitchen remodel I was hesitant of changing the layout.

came out, not once, but twice to ensure everything was going to be exactly they way I wanted it. Custom shelving including for the microwave.
The professionalism, help and hard work was well beyond anything I could have imagined. As a younger woman, I really appreciated the extra time
Lepanto Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
took to help me when picking out the counter tops, floors and back splash. He certainly has an "eye" for style and the hard working, polite contractors to go along with it.
My project was supposed to take 3 weeks, they were done a couple days early. This is even after the fact that I changed my mind on the paint color and caused them to have to re-paint 3-4 times and added an unexpected pantry shelves into the mix. The guys were polite and did a great job keeping the house "Clean" with putting down tarps and always cleaning up after themselves. They were even great about my cats being out. MHI even had a cleaning woman come in after the job was done to clean the kitchen!
I have already recommended

to others and will be getting a quote for my front door replacement with them soon. They will not disappoint!

"The work was done quickly and well. I found only one very minor concern which Mr.
Lepanto Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
would have taken care of if I had noticed it at the time he had me view the completed job. Clean up was satisfactory. Mr.
Lepanto Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
was easy to work with.

Lepanto Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
was delayed for several weeks after my original request in getting to my project because of his workload. This was not a major concern for me given that the project was not something that required immediate attention and that he has done good work for me in the past. Such a delay might not be acceptable for a customer needing immediate or prompt attention. Once a date and time was set for the work Mr.
Lepanto Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
and his team were there on time and ready to go.

"I met with 6 contractor's all from Angie's List
Lepanto Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
was very personable and spent the most time with me. Owner did most of the computer drawing design on that visit. I got one alteration after and never a final plan.
Job started March 10th
Lepanto Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
I did have problems with loan from broker provided by
Lepanto Remodeling Contractors Provider Name Locked
. One big problem was he was calling an incorrect number to reach me.
Contractor tried to take agreed upon parts of job off, stated he had to charge me more to do part of job included, wanted to charge me $3,300 more and then said he would split it with me?
Communication by phone or email became spotty and punctuality went out the window
contractor quit after receiving almost all monies from bank if I did not give him more money
Under duress and stating I did not owe any more monies; I agreed to an additional $1,800 for peace of mind and to get the job done. It still took way too long and way too many trips. I went without a sink and running water for over 2 months and then they took my oven door without communication and that took over a month to be returned?
I added all figures for work to be done on contract $1,000 more than itemized work. I asked if he did not include my deposit? He said deposits are different?
Conversation became PAINFUL with contractor, mostly spoke with wife/office manager from then on
I have copies of contract and tons of email communication
I have paid more than $300 over contract total and amount does not add up from itemized. I was also stuck with over $700 in back splash that was suppose to be a part of original job.
I would provide all documentation and communication in writing, but need help with negotiating; don't feel I owe another $1,504.00???
I realize all the frustration and lack of communication, as well as time struggling to get job done are on me. I actually think this man owes me $1,000 and an apology.
I am single and work a lot. Anyone that does not eat out regularly for work and has a family would have been driven off the deep end by this ordeal.
Please let me know what could or can be done?
