"I called 50 Floor because
does a commercial for them and he seems convinced that they are a great flooring company. I have been searching for flooring and got" tired of bringing samples home from other flooring companies and liked that 50 Floor brought it to you. Not much to pick from. I picked the lightest engineered wood floor they had and from the TINY sample looked like it would work for the 600 sq feet plus of area including my kitchen. I was also told it had beveled edges (it doesn't) - that was one of the selling features for me. I was told they would put baseboards down and it was on my order - they just didn't take the old ones up. I was nervous about matching my existing ones in the rest of the house and called and spoke to someone about it. I was told that if what they brought out (which, by the way, they didn't bring any out) didn't match, they would go get what did match. Long story - not true. Either go with what they had, or do without. I refused the floor - and got a call from the manager - had several conversations with him - and he assured me that they would make it right. He had talked with the general manager who would call me shortly - never happened. But they did send another salesman who was clueless as to what he was suppose to do and is having second thoughts about working for this company. He said he was never aware that this business put in baseboards. I had the thought that I should cancel the whole things while I still had my 3 days to do so - but felt like I was being silly - should have listened to my gut. Also, even though they are supposed to take credit cards, the salesman only offered me the option of paying by check - should have escorted him right to the door. How much of what I gave them will I get back? I should get it all back because of the misleading and misrepresentation of everything I was told. I have wasted money and time on this company - don't be stupid like I was!

"I hope I actually included everything
did, but I might have left out something.
and his workers did an OUTSTANDING job with the work" on a 1950s house that has enough settling that they had to compensate for it in the bathroom. We are looking forward to working with
again on several other large home improvement projects.

"The website says next day delivery. I had to wait one week. The salesperson '
' misrepresented what would be involved. The installers were very nice" but they could not do the
installation I was promised, so I cancelled on the spot. I now have two reputable floor installers ready to give me the real estimate for the job. Lesson learned.

Flooring reviews in Harrison

Do not use this company. We found out the hard way. There is so much to tell of our miserable experience but I will limit it to the highlights.
When my wife first visited their office, she expressed her concern that laminate often made noise when walked on.
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
, one of the owners, said this would not be an issue with 12mm laminate, high quality under padding, and proper installation. Oh, how I wish they practiced what they preached. I think of this every time I walk on our creaking, cracking floor.
Although their price quote was a bit more expensive than others,
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
assured us that it would be worth it because she would be involved throughout the process to ensure everything was done right. When she came to the house to take measurements, she told us the installation would take a couple days. Unfortunately, we didn't see much of her during the next FOUR WEEKS it took for their installers to do the job.
Things got off to a bad start when
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
ran our credit card for the deposit. We were supposed to pay half up front, but she ran the card for the entire amount.
The installer arrived on day one with his helper. We learned he had never laid a floor over terrazzo. There were several low spots in the floor that needed to be leveled. The installer decided to double up the under pad in these areas instead of floating the floor.
By the end of the first day, they had done some prep work and laid a small amount of laminate. By the end of day two they had laid maybe half the floor. The helper that was cutting the laminate told us he had never used a power tool before. Not comforting. After they left, my wife and I realized the floor was very creaky and "spongy" in some areas.
My wife contacted the manufacturer,
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
, to ask about sponginess and inquire if the doubled under pad was an acceptable installation. She was told this was definitely not a proper method of installation.
On day three, we talked to the installer about the problems. They realized the laminate was going to have come up so they could float the floor. This took the next few days. When the installation began again they realized they had not ordered enough under pad and had to tape together small pieces of pad and used a bit of
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
quality pad to cover the remainder of the floor. Our kitchen looked like a puzzle.
As they re-laid the laminate they had pulled up it didn't seem to fit together as well. We heard the installer say to his helper, "try and find me pieces without broken tabs." We were into week two when they realized there wasn't enough laminate, so there was another delay while they ordered more.
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was out of town, but her husband came to our home and told us we would be compensated for the inconvenience.
We lived the next two weeks with everything out of our kitchen and living room, had to change appointments and cancel company to allow them to work. They didn't order enough transitions so there was a delay for that. Every time she learned there wasn't enough material,
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
blamed the vendors (not her inaccurate measurements). When some of the molding was cut too short, they stuck an extra scrap in rather then make the proper cut. The condition they left our house in was disgusting. There were cuts, nicks, hand and footprints all over our freshly painted walls and base boards.
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
presented the final bill, several of the line items had been increased from the original signed proposal resulting in $689 of additional charges. Rather than the compensation promised by her husband,
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
had actually charged us more. After some wrangling, my wife was able to get them to bring the charges down a bit.
I could go on and on. There is much more to tell, but I think I've made my point. don't use them. Get someone else to install your floor. You don't want to end up like us. I hoped that once the floor was installed and we finally had them out of my house, we could put this behind us. But unfortunately I have to listen to the floor crack every time I walk on it.

I was told a sink would be provided. But was not told there would be no faucet nor that my faucet would not be measured to fit back into the new top. The garbage disposal was removed but not replaced. The granite installer was goodt but said that he could not replace things as he was not a plumber. Basically I was left with a job half done. Was happy with granite though. Would not use them again.

came out and gave us an estimate. He didn't have the type of carpet we wanted so he referred us to Denmar Carpet Company. We picked out our carpet and bought it and the pad from Denmar.
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
picked it up and installed it with the pad. It is gorgeous and ever so soft. During the install,
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
's employees had to move our piano onto our front hall hardwood floor accidentally damaging it. However,
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was more than willing to pay for the repair).
We are very pleased with everything from
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
. You do have to kind of keep on top of things and call him as he is so very busy but we would do it again should we want to do the rest of the house.

5 years ago, we hired
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
, of
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
Flooring, to install wood floors throughout our house. We were happy with the floors and with
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
's service, but we noticed a few of our floor boards discolored almost immediately. A couple of years ago, we had tremendous amounts of rain, and suddenly we had more and more discolored boards and blistering finish. We called
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
, he came, brought the wood rep and we discovered we had lots of moisture and large sections of our floor would need to be replaced and weatherproofing done to our house. I suspect our floor had too much moisture before we even began the initial installation process but I can't say for sure. Anyway, after several months of living with giant sections of cement floor, I began calling
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
again so he could measure the moisture to see if it had dried enough for us to replace the floor. Months went by, and more months as I left message after message with no response. I finally grew so frustrated, I called a home inspection company and they came out to measure the moisture. We were good to go. I called
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
, left a message that we were ready to replace the floor, and
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
and behold, he called me right back, got it scheduled and installed. They did a nice job, but I noticed there were trim pieces missing by the door jams and something that looked like gaps in glue along some of our newly installed boards. I called
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
several times, left a bunch of messages and finally said I was going to write a review on Angies's list. He called me back, came out to look at it, said his installer missed the trim pieces and it wouldn't be a big deal to get it done. That was in June. It's now the end of September. I have left a weekly message for
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
, probably 12-15 in all. He's never called back. I finally called another flooring company who came right out and installed the trim. So here's the bottom line from our experience.
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
is a super nice guy. His installers are pretty good. As long as you have money for him, he's great to work with. If you hire him, inspect every inch of your floor before he walks out the door. Because once he leaves, you'll never get him to come back.

Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
is a general contractor who not only enjoys doing big remodels, but also smaller jobs that many other contractors will not do--my jobs fell in the latter group.
He was friendly, professional and honest. In addition, he was efficient and conscientious about my time and expenses. He worked around my work schedule, and was willing to come after I got home from work and on weekends. He charged me for materials at his cost stating, “If I give it to you at my cost, you can get nicer things for your home”, and he submitted copies of receipts with his bill. On the first visit he listened to the projects I needed completed, explained how he would do them, and the amount of time it would take to complete them. When he arrived each time he stated what he planned to work on and the materials he would use.
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was very good about explaining what he was doing, and why he was doing it a certain way.
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
is knowledgeable and skilled, as well as creative.
I also have some electrical projects, deck work, painting, and gutter work, and I look forward to having him do this work.

I was very pleased with
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
. I was contacted by
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
soon after I purchased the deal ($300 whole house Stainmaster, which really means $2.99 sq ft for all the rooms you care to carpet). Sasan then came out to the house with samples within a day or two of my first contact. He was very polite and professional. He down-sold the carpet to a lower quality, less expensive builder's grade carpet, which was fine with me as we are selling the house and it saved me about $600. He also priced the Stainmaster option, which was as stated and also very reasonably priced. The carpet was installed about 10 days later by a two-man crew, who were also polite and professional. They were a couple hours late, but I received a call letting me know. I was happy with the work and felt they did a very good job, especially on the steps and where the carpet met other flooring. They moved a very heavy

the carpet, and also had to carpet around a decorative barn wood wall. Overall, I thought they
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
was responsive, professional and very easy to deal with. I would (and may) use them in the future.

I am so happy with the work
Harrison Flooring Installers Provider Name Locked
did! We had the second story wood floors and the stairway stained and refinished. He also installed new baseboard and a new banister, which I requested as an after thought once he started the job. He was flexible and wiling to do all the the work I requested. I was especially happy that he stained and polyurethaned the baseboard before he installed it (other contractors have done this after installation and it was awful!) he is a true professional and I would definitely use him again!
