"E & K Builders were my heroes. They came to my rescue when no one else would. They were prompt, honest and professional. It was in the dead of the summer" and i had just fired a contractor that promised to replace my gutters and porch top over a weekend (which i knew could be done easily in 2 days) but instead, 8 days later it was worst than ever! It was Day 8 and my entire porch top was gutted and my front yard was trashed with rotten wood and 3 layers of old shingles. In addition, I was out of $1,000 that I had paid them over 7 days and they were asking for more money and the job was no where near completion. Fed up, I sent them on their way and told them not to return and I took my chances on finding someone else to fix their mess. After 2 weeks of calling around, and having several contractors come out and assess the mess, no one was willing to touch it unless I paid some rediculous amount of money. Not to mention I had prepaid for the materials that no one wanted to use. Then I found E&K Builders. I called them, they came out, told me exactly what they could and could not do and exactly what it would cost. I explained that I had already spent over a thousand dollars for materials and labor and didn't have a lot of money left to invest in an entire repair job. E&K told me they could use the products I had purchased and that they could do the job in 2 days. I was skeptical but I took my chances and hired them on the spot. In two days my house went from the worst house on the block to the best house on the block. E&K even installed a brand new mailbox for me at no extra cost. E&K are the best!

"They do very good work. I'm very happy with them. They’re very accommodating. Some people they bring out are very experienced, though others seem like" they’re new. The company is aware of that and they work to balance that out. Not cheap, but worth the premium cost.

Carpentry - Unfinished

Putting the finishing touches on a remodeled room can be a challenge, but with a bit of practice and patience, your crown molding will look like a master carpenter put it up.

There are lots of occurrences that result in dry rot, though most have to do with proper water management in the home, says Lindus. (Photo courtesy of Angie's List member Donna B. of Portland, Oregon)

You need a general contractor - prefereably one who specializes in additions, because you have excavation, waterproofing, concrete, concrete cutting, carpentry, door and window, etc trades to coordinate.

The cost will depend a great deal on your topography around the house - if the base of the window will be above ground level at least 6 inches, then could run about $500 for a legal egress window purchase and about $1000-2000 for installation, depending on how deep into the concrete you have to cut.

If the bottom of the window will be below ground level, then to call it a bedroom (which mandates legal sized second egress and usauully at least one window)  then you will have two choices - bring it out into a solid watertight concrete storm cellar with collar to keep water out, stairs, and and weather and bug-tight cellar door that is inward-opening, which means a lot of space for stairs and landings top and bottom, or bring it out into an oversized window well at least 36 inches in diameter, and with steps to ground level, with adequate drainage and waterproofing to keep it dry. Either way, sometimes about as easy to put in an outside door as a window, and might raise property value more. Cost from $2-5,000 depending on how deep into concrete wall you have to dig, whether concrete wsall needs reinforcing with steel frame because of the depth of cut, how easy the digging is, and what your water conditions are near the foundation. The last thing you want to do is create an easy water or vermin ingress with your egress.

Dictated by Federal LAW , you will need a Licensed and EPA Certified HVAC Contractor

to make such repairs . In fact , by law , ONLY A licenesed HVAC contractor can buy or install

said eguipment , NOT A handyman nor general contractor !

YES , You should have an A.C. sleeve surrounding the through the wall unit . These sleeves will usually accompany NEW products , either as a package or an add on equipment purchase.

Contact a Licenesed PROFFESSIONAL at once !

It depends on what type of ramp you need. If it is built out of wood you could look for a carpenter or a deck company. If you are looking for a concrete ramp a mason would be what you are looking for. There are also metal ramps and I believe some medical supply companies may carry them or be able to steer you in the right direction. As for insurance coverage I am not sure. You may have coverage and would be best talking to your agent. Depending on why you need this ramp there may even be programs through your local government or even some of the local charities might help. It might be a project a local Scout Troop might help out on.

This is the guy that did my kitchen 7 years ago. Took my 1950’s kitchen down to the studs, then built me a new one from top to bottom. In the 7 years since, not one thing, not one single problem, has ever arisen with the kitchen he built me. Not plumbing, not electricity, not floor, ceiling, ventilation, nothing. Everything is still as solid as a rock. Re-did my boss’ kitchen too, not a single thing has ever gone wrong with that kitchen either.

Everything went well. With ceiling opened up,, could observe that leak source was not through pipe, but instead thru fine cracks within the fiberglass deck. Rework went well and ceiling looks good.

They did superbly. Their estimate of the cost of the work was the lowest I could find, and the final cost was even less than their estimate. While this alone would serve as a good recommendation for their company, each person and each team was both highly professional and very respectful and polite, and I ended up liking them all. They worked fast and well, were always very available and responsive, and always satisfactorily answered all my questions (even those that I did not know to ask), and they addressed each concern of mine quickly and completely.
I highly recommend this company to whomever needs hazmat removal, demotion work, or construction.

Vadim and
Oxford General Contractors Provider Name Locked
are the owners of
Oxford General Contractors Provider Name Locked
GC and know what they are doing. By merely taping certain tiles and listening to the sound, they knew where my leekage problem lied. And when they removed the tiles, you could see where the water was seeping behind the tiles. They removed 5 horizontal rows of tile all around the tub, installed new wonderboard, then re-tiled, grouted and sealed the entire area. They were neat and cleaned up after each days work, and the job looks professionally done. They hung a plastic sheet after each day so we could take showers.
I'll be using Vadim and

for additional projects.
