"I went to the Nissan Dealer and paid for a diagnosis of my drivability problem. I needed a new catalytic converter! I bought one Online ($300) and replaced the faulty" part. My Altima 2002 drives like a charm! Beware of going to Transmission Shops without some idea that the problem is indeed related to the transmission!!!!

"He was very helpful. He gave me an estimate of the cost and the cost was exactly what he had estimated. So there were no surprises. He guaranteed the work for" 2 years and so far it’s been good. I would highly recommend him. Overall he was excellent and his price was reasonable.

Transmission Service reviews in Hartselle

My overall experience with them was probably excellent. I think they’re honest and that’s my main thing with mechanics. They do a good job. I think their price is reasonable and comparable.
- terry W.

They were very professional and worked with me on price. Informed me of several other problems with the car and didn't pressure me to actually purchase it at that time.
- Michael R.

They rebuilt the transmission in my 20 year-old car. It was a bit pricey, but with the warranty it seemed to be a fair price.
There were a few issues immediately following the rebuild, which they addressed for free, even though the issues ended up not being with the transmission.
Four months later the transmission failed. They rebuilt it again free of cost. It did take almost a month to get the work done the second time, which was a long time not to have the car.
- Christopher P.

They are the best transmission shop I have ever been too. They gave me a better warranty and better price than what a dealer would have costed. They were very knowledgeable about everything regarding the transmission. They explained to me the issue and work needed to be done in a way I could understand.,
- Kenneth F.

What can I say? A well-established local transmission shop that charges a very fair price, and doesn't try to pressure you into getting your transmission rebuilt before it's necessary. When the time comes, I will definitely bring my car to these guys!
- James P.

They have come out to my home when it would not start so I could not take it to the shop. They are very diligent in their work and will not give up until they fix it. They are very reasonably priced and complete their work on time. They are just really nice guys and wonderful to work with. I will absolutely continue to work with them in the future.

In Summary- I am very happy and satisfied with
Hartselle Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
...I went to the dealer since the engine light was on and the van would not go past 50 mph. It was what I figured a bad transmission. The cost of just a used transmission was $1500.00 ( not including installation) from the dealer and a new one $3100 and over $5200 installed. Well we could not afford new and it did not make sense to install used. I checked the internet and the costs were similar. I also found out that 2003 transmission on the Honda Odyssey are known to have failures around the 150K mile

. I knew that a used transmission was out of the equation. I then checked for costs on rebuilt units and they were expensive.

I checked Angie's list and to my delight I found
Hartselle Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
transmission has a super high rating and advertised on my radio station. They answered all my 20 questions and asked about repairing a lemon transmission and they said that since they obtain all manufactures technical messages and that my transmission would be up to 2014 Honda specs so those 2003 parts are fixed with the rebuild. Hearing that put my mind at ease. I asked them tow my vehicle which they did for free. The told me my repair would be between $1900 and $2300 depending what parts are needed. I figured that even at the high end, its cheaper than what I can do myself. The final cost came in the middle and I am very pleased. I waited a month to write this review so I can share that my Honda is running like new and no issues. The

folks are kind, honest and patient. They said it would take one week and it took one week. In summary, for me it was better and cheaper than buying another used or new car. Thank You

We took my Jeep to
Hartselle Transmission Shops Provider Name Locked
because they were open on Saturdays. The manager informed us that it would be $1695 up-front just to look at the transmission. They told us it would take 18 hours of labor to pull it out and take a look at it. We questioned what the cost would be on top of that to fix the problem, but they could not tell us what the worst-case scenario would be. I was also very off-put by the fact that they asked what we did for a living. They told us that we would be contacted that night and told what the final price to fix the issue would be. We did not hear anything by that night, or on Sunday. After reading reviews on Monday, we became concerned and contacted them directly. They still had not yet worked on the car. We told them that if we didn't hear anything within the next hour we would take the car somewhere else. 30 minutes later they were told it would be an additional $1387 to fix the problem.
At this point we decided to take the car somewhere else. They reimbursed us the initial fee and we told them where to tow the car. Before they towed the car, they contacted us to tell us it was only a leaky gasket and they fixed it for free. When we finally went to pick up the car, the manager would not come meet us in person. The only good thing I can say about this experience is that they were overly kind when explaining all of this. However, this doesn't make up for trying to everything that happened.
