"Serious language issues with work crew. Left dirty hand

"I think I almost had to immediately turn my thermostat to a warmer temperature! Really has made a difference. Their machinery was kept outside with a very long hose carrying the insulation" into the house & into the attic. No mess at all. The workmen pointed out that several of the pot lights in the kitchen had been covered with insulation [ a no-no] and they made sure they cleaned them off so they would function correctly [ and not catch fire!]. I have ceilings of several heights -coffered, cathedral, etc so getting the insulation blown into all these different areas could not have been easy. Considering the square footage of the attic & the number of inches needed I think the price was fair and will save me money in the long run. I would highly recommend
to any one who has insulation needs and/or attic ventilation.

"
was very helpful in supplying the quote and answering questions. They came through at the cheaper of two insulation quotes. Scheduling was easy for one week" out. Team showed up at 7AM and worked until 6:30 PM that night to complete the job. Team laid drop clothes all the way up to the attic and cleaned up when they finished. Full testing was done prior and after the work was completed. Great working with this team and highly recommend. Made it a painless experience.

'After purchasing a deal from
Fort Payne Insulation Contractors Provider Name Locked
they failed to keep two scheduled appts. One because they doubled booked the appt. time the second because they just FORGOT. I would never consider using this company unless you have nothing to do but sit around and wait on them to show up. I work by the hour if I'm not there i don't get paid. Mon. cost me out of pocket over $400.00.

installer showed up on time, kept the area clear and clean.
The work was done quickly, and when done the installer showed the work, and was available to answer any questions.

was very professional and did a great job. They worked hard and stayed late in order to finish the job with the least amount of disruption to my house. The estimate was completed promptly, but the work started quite a few weeks later. They explained it was their busy season. They explained everything and did a very thorough job. They know their stuff! Before and after the work, they ran an air penetration test to determine the air leakage of the home. The test validated their work.
My upstairs used to be very hot in the summer, now it is amazingly comfortable. Great job!

the insulation was installed fine but the holes in the walls were patched with rubber-like Spackle which i had to pay to remove when I had the walls painted. The exhaust fan was not properly installed. the wiring was not to code, the roof shingles around the fan were not nailed in after cut and blew away during a storm. I had the roof replaced about a year later, and was told by the roofers that the fans were the cheapest available and were not close enough to the peak of the roof to fully function. I called the company and they agree to pay my electrician to fix the wiring (wire was too thin for New

Superior was very professional, willing to work with me after I altered the scope of the job to be performed. They were also very prompt and efficient with their time which I appreciated very much. I thought the price was fair for the work performed.

I scheduled for 9/15 for the work to be done and sent half the cost of the project work in a check to the business owner,
Fort Payne Insulation Contractors Provider Name Locked
. On 9/13 early in the day I left a message asking for confirmation for the 9/15 morning appointment, but got nothing in response. Two individuals, not
Fort Payne Insulation Contractors Provider Name Locked
, arrived 9/15. The only directions they had for the work were the written (sketchy) estimate. I showed them the rim joist areas to be sprayed and the bath fan. Then I left for work. Big mistake - they were unsupervised all day.
Upon returning they had left and my front door was unlocked (they had not called to say they were leaving) and there was garbage from the bath fan installation outside the house and several large

of fiberglass on the floor in the basement. The spray foam was barely a half an inch thick in most areas, not the 2" that was in the contract. The worst of all was that they had located the combustion (fresh air) intake vent just to the left of the egress window well - where I had an expensive dome cover sitting in the backyard ready to install on the egress well, but that would not be possible with the vent hood now in the location where this well cover was to be attached to the siding. I called
Fort Payne Insulation Contractors Provider Name Locked
and he came out to see the problem with the vent hood and the spray foam issue. The solution he proposed for the vent hood was to cut the

of the dome cover to fit over the vent hood essentially cutting a triangle out of it to accomodate the vent hood. I agreed to that approach.
However now there is a huge problem because I have the dryer vent immediately to the right of the egress well: The combustion air intake's purpose is to provide fresh air for the dryer and the water heater for the natural gas combustion. Now when I run the dryer, the exhaust flows in between the slding and the cover (there is a 1 inch gap) into the egress well. So as I am running the dryer now, and the use of the dryer draws into the combustion air intake the extremely humid dryer exhaust right back into the basement. Sort of defeats the purpose of the air intake and the dryer, plus I am running a dehumidifier to remove the humidity in the basement. All of the project work was meant to improve air quality in the house and instead it is creating a vicious cycle of ruining my air quality and causing extra expenditure for air conditioning and dehumidification. This is a safety and health hazard.
At this point I am disgusted and feel I hired an incompetent company. The estimate from
Fort Payne Insulation Contractors Provider Name Locked
made it sound like they had lots of expertise working on these types of projects but it has in all ways fallen way short. There has been a complete lack of attention to detail and no sign of experience or competence.

agreed to come back and add more spray foam, but I am planning to have Angie's list help resolve as I will need to find and pay for someone with expertise to fix all these problems from
