"We were concerned about two tall palm trees that had been planted very close to the front of our house and were beginning to lean toward the house. We had previously" used
to remove another palm tree, so we called
for an evaluation and estimate to remove the trees.
came out and looked at all of our trees and recommended the work to be done. He also agreed to include trimming of three sets of Podocarpus hedges in the job. He provided a printed estimate, including a site plan, along with a copy of his certificate of insurance. He scheduled the job for the following week. He arrived as scheduled with his crew and equipment. The work was expertly and efficiently done in just over two hours. We were very impressed with the quality of the work, the professionalism of the crew, the trucks and equipment used, and our overall experience We will definitely use
in the future.

4 Situations Where You Need a Professional Tree Trimmer

Not sure if you should trim your own trees? Sometimes your tree problem is best left to a pro whose is trained in maintenance and other complex issues.

Tree Care and Services

Trees grow slowly so you can't afford to make a mistake by planting them in the wrong location or overlooking something that puts the tree at risk. Tree care is something most homeowners can do on their own, but an expert should be called if a tree is showing signs of disease or if limbs need to be removed.

I would strongly suggest sending your neighbors a certified letter stating that, per your earlier conversation, you consider this tree to be a hazard due to its proximity to the power lines.  Then, when and if something bad does happen, you will have a record of having informed them of it and they won't be able to say "we didn't know."

You say the county has told you it is the neighbor's problem.  Did you contact the local electric company?  They should care very much about the situation.

I would also recommend taking lots of pictures showing the proximity of the tree to the wires and that it is obviously dead.

Dead trees do sometimes stay vertical for a very long time, but it sounds like a tense situation for you.  I understand your desire to not inflame the situation, but it doesn't sound like there is anything more you can do that won't have the potential to do so.  So it becomes your responsibility to look after your own interests in the most reasonable way possible.

For my money, never ? I do a walk-around yearly in the summer (when easy to work on and before the heavy fall winds in our area) and look for trees with dead crowns, losing branches everywhere but at the crown, brown branches (evergreens) or leafless branches, leaning trees, trees with visible rot, trees with major bark loss, trees with seriously damaged or eroded away roots, etc. If none of those symptoms, then I call our 100 or so trees good for the year.

Of course, the bigger the trees and the likelihood of house damageor powerline loss (especially in winter) if there is a major branch or tree fall comes into play also. I trim and cut my own trees when needed regardless of size, so my level of confidence in being able to handle anything comes into it.

If you are worried about one or more trees, call an arborist to check them out - then I would say unless there is evidence of damage - ESPECIALLY leaning trees or major branches not leafing like the rest of the tree - I would not worry having them looked at more frequently than every 10 years or so.

Tree Service reviews in Fairhope

The entire experience with

Fairhope Tree Services Provider Name Locked
was way above and beyond expectation in every way.
Fairhope Tree Services Provider Name Locked
responded almost immediately to provide an estimate, and when he saw the condition of our 27 mature Queen palm trees (weak and overgrown fronds, loaded with messy flowering seed pods), he made time in his heavily booked schedule to come out right away and take care of them because he insisted he didn’t want us to have to deal with any additional issues or mess. He and his crew worked rapidly and very efficiently. They did a wonderful job without damaging any of the under plantings or sprinkler heads below, and they cleaned everything up beautifully. Furthermore,
Fairhope Tree Services Provider Name Locked
refused to accept payment (or even partial payment) until he had completed the entire work order.
He brought the crew out again a few weeks later to trim our huge, overgrown olive trees, other large trees and remove some that were dying. Again, the work went rapidly, smoothly, and cleanly. We were very pleased with all the work done.

Fairhope Tree Services Provider Name Locked
has definitely earned our loyalty. He is extremely honest, very reliable, and does outstanding work. He explains what he plans to do, consults the customer before cutting if he feels something could be problematic, and genuinely cares about both the tree’s welfare and the customer’s wishes.
His pricing is very fair and he also gave us a 10% senior discount that we didn’t even realize was available. We’ve had work done by other tree companies, but we’ll contact him from now on whenever we need tree care and will continue to recommend him without reservation.

and his bucket crew were right on time, the came in and explained everything they were about to do. The had the tree cut down within 3 hrs and even cleaned up the yard. They spoke with and showed me everything they did and how well they put my yard back in order. All the chunks were laid out neatly to the side along with the bulk of the tree,

We love
Fairhope Tree Services Provider Name Locked
! They are prompt with phone calls and have great communication. Work always exceeds expectations. Their clean up is so good, it looks like they were never there! Just wish they would travel a little farther east... Thanks,

The crew arrived before 8am both days, and worked until 5:00 the first day, about 4:00 the second day. The ground crew wore safety goggles and hard hats, as well as company t-shirts. They combined this job, all being along the property line, with removal and trimming work for our neighbors on that side.
The contractor purchased a special rope specifically for lifting the lower sections of the huge tree onto a truck. They were amazing to watch.
We were very sad to see the large 120+-year-old tree go, but are very satisfied with the removal work. The contractor worked within the quote and estimated time of two days for the work on all four trees.

The workers arrived on time and began work immediately. They climbed the trees, cut all the branches and lowered the cut logs from the trees with ropes. The workers worked continuously until noon, took a lunch break, then returned to complete the job. Afterwards, they raked and cleared all of the smaller branches, twigs and leaves from the yard. One worker actually climbed on the roof of the house to blow leaves and twigs off the roof and cleaned out the gutters in the process. If I ever need further work in my trees, I will definitely call

to complete the job.

Trimmers are AWESOME. Five stars is not nearly enough. I contacted them originally to just cut down some broken limbs from a giant old Chinese Chestnut tree in the back yard.
Fairhope Tree Services Provider Name Locked
called me that night. He said he had some time and came right to the house to give me an estimate. While he was there, I asked him to give me a price for the rest of the work that I needed done "someday". I had Junipers that had gotten so overgrown that they covered my bedroom windows and most of the front of the house. He worked with me so that I could afford to have everything done in one trip.
He promised to try to work me into the schedule the following week if he possibly could. I got a call from him on Wednesday the next week and I was scheduled for that Friday at 11:00. I had mentioned that I needed some firewood and he told me that as he was bringing trucks to the house anyway if I wanted a load there would be no delivery charge. He and his crew arrived at 10:55 with a convoy of vehicles that lined my street. Within a few hours they had cut down a good sized Locust in my front yard, split and stacked that wood along with the seasoned firewood he had brought. The next hour saw all of the shrubs removed and chipped up. They then ground out the stumps to allow me to replant without wrestling the old roots and while he was at it, removed some huge tree roots that made for a tripping hazard in my lawn. They then set to work to clean up the yard. It was outstanding. When they pulled out of my street at a little after 5:00 you would never have known I had had tree work done. They even fluffed up the grass where the equipment had mashed it down. I have had tree work done at homes in both Upstate New

was here before his crew to make the introduction to the team.

Their clean up was impeccable and they also cleaned up everything that fell on my neighbors' property. They were punctual, efficient, professional and polite. The whole job was completed in 4 hours. They are excellent at what they do and I will call them any and every time I need trees trimmed or removed. Too bad I can't add photos.

Went back and forth with a neighbor who wanted the tree off of her property. I was never contacted as to the date the trimming would take place and we were out of town on a Friday. The guys accidentally shut the water off at the main water pump on the side of the house. When I contacted them the following spring to come out to bid, they never followed up. While their service was competent, mother customer service level anthem office, was less than stellar.
