Business Description: **Dr. Cobden has maintained an active practice in Fairbanks for 18 years. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in 1963 and his Doctor of Medicine in 1967 at Los Angeles County-USC School of Medicine. He further trained and served as faculty of the University of Edinburgh, Harvard Medical School, and University of California, Davis. He is one of only five orthopaedic surgeons in the Interior who is Board Certified in Orthopaedic Surgery, and he is a member of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Dr. Cobden's current scope of practice includes General Orthopaedics, Trauma, Hand, Hip and Knee Joint Replacement and Reconstructive Surgery. He is former Chief of Staff at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital and is a past president of the Alaska State Orthopaedic Association. He has lived in Fairbanks for 18 years. ** Michael J. Pomeroy PA-C began his medical career in 1974 serving as a medical specialist in the United States Special Forces (Green Beret) A-Team. He subsequently attended a Physician Assistant Program in 1980 at the Acedemy of Health Sciences in San Antonio, Texas. He continued his medical career in the United States Army, serving in both conventional and unconventional units. He attended a structured, officel 2 year Orthopaedic Speciality program from 1984-1986, and has been working in Orthopaedics specifically since that time. He has been Nationally Certified since 1982, and Licensed in Alaska since 1987. He is a fellow member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery, and the Alaskan Academy of Physician Assistants. **Dr. Boucher specializes in sports medicine, trauma, and joint replacement. In addition to her many professional achievements and acamedic tenure at the Madigan Army medical Center and Ft. Leonard Wood Army Community Hospital, Dr. Boucher was three time recipient of the Army Commendation Medal, as well as the Meritorious Service Medal. After deployment to Iraq, Dr. Boucher returned to the United States and now lives in Fairbanks, where she enjoys time with her family hiking, skiing, camping and other outdoor activities. We are proud to Welcome Dr. Boucher as the newest member of our team! Both of our surgeons perform surgery at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital as well as the Surgery Center of Fairbanks. All surgeries are prior authorized by our administrative staff. Dr. Boucher and Dr. Cobden are both board certified and specialize in Hemi (Half) Joint replacement surgery. We outsource our billing to the incredible team at Golden Heart Administrative Professionals, however our staff will be able to assist with some billing questions and needs, and we are in contact daily with Golden Heart. We are in network with Premera BCBS, BCBS, as well as Federal BCBS. We proudly accept Medicare, Tricare, and VA. We do accept Self Pay patients, we ask for 250.00 down on your account during your first visit and a payment plan to be signed for monthly payments thereafter. Our office hates to send patients to collections, we are pleased to work with everyone in regards to monthly payments and give many warning prior to anyone ever being sent to collections, these include Monthly statements for three months, if after three months no payments or arrangements have been made, a letter is sent out to you detailing our next steps, giving the patients 1 month after receipt of the letter to arrange a payment on the account.
