"I called
to set up an appointment to install a new garbage disposal. He happened to be close by and just finishing up another job so he was at our house 45 minutes" later. He was friendly, fast and efficent. He even disposed of our old unit and fixed the sprayer on the sink. We plan to call
for any future plumbing needs.

"I contacted
by e-mail after buying Angie's List Deal. I had a response within the hour, and they were able to schedule an appointment for me the next day." I was told to expect the repairman between 8 and 11 am. The repairman called me around 11 to say that he would be late. He arrived before 12. He was very friendly and professional. He fixed the problem with my garbage disposal in 2 minutes. I had paid for 2 hours of labor so it didn't turn out to be a great deal, but the problem was fixed! My overall feeling about the transaction is very good.

"I called the Tucson office and told
I'd like my garbage disposer and bathroom sink replaced next week. He asked which day specifically and afternoon or" morning. I said Tuesday or Wednesday next week would be fine and he took down my address and said someone would call be Tuesday to specify the hour. At the conclusion of the call I told him I was using an Angie's List deal. I was then placed on hold, then promptly told all plumbers were in
on a big job and he won't have anyone for AT LEAST another month. He apologized and said I should call back in six weeks, there was nothing more he could do... One minute ago he was nailing down the exact time, took down my address and phone, asked questions about the disposer being replaced, and now they had no serviceman available for 6 weeks after learning I was using a prepaid Angie's deal? Wow, that deserves an F. Contact me
, I'd like you to right this wrong. Bad practices like this is why Angie's List exists. Update:
did come after this posting and installed a garbage disposer and bath faucet in three hours. I felt they could have done it a bit faster, or given me additional credit for the above trouble, but they billed me for all of their time at full cost above the Angies deal. Not appreciated, but both installs were done well.

If the ducts are venting through a window I'm assuming the duct work is all easily accessible.  Lowe's and Home Depot sell a cleaning kit that uses an electric drill to spin the brush as it goes through the ductwork.  I've found it to work quite well and you can do it yourself.  It may take a few passes the first time to get everything out if it has been a while since it was last cleaned.  Just make sure you get all of the loose lint out after running the brush through from both ends and you're good to go.  Please note that if the line is not hard but rather a flex duct line you can easily puncture a whole in it with this kit and will do better to clean it by hand.

As stated above, it can vary between companies.

Typically just an inspection implies you do not have a contract or agreement that may include discounts or free repairs.

With our company you would get the annual maintenace service that you should do every year, and if repairs are needed, they are extra, but you aviod paying a "service call charge" that would be related to most repairs, because you are paying for the "inspection" and we are already on site.

Inspections are often discounted in the slow seasons, and can usually be found advertised , at reduced prices , on Angie's List.

So consider Angie's List and find the best of the best in HVAC contractors!

I have never seen one of this type that does not exit the house. You would not want the grease dumping into your basement, even with a filter it will happen.

The greater part of your job will be carpentry as if there is a wall behind the stove a hole will have to be cut up through the basement into the wall up to the stove. Unless it is one of the stoves that allows for it to fit inside a cabinet below. To answer correctly most here would be a picture of where this project is being done. I have done motorized ones that extend up out of the counter when in use and then retract. Those exit through the cabinet and require the cook top is to the front of the counter and not a drop in one

As an added note these tend to be better as they do not pull the heat away from the stove top when in use as much as the ones flush with the stove. I have install quite a few and happen to have an Amana cook top with built in down draft and I have to shut it of to get water to boil on the back burners.

A carpenter will know what can be cut and what not in the basement, a sheet metal contractor should know as well but at the other end for the finish by the stove they might not. Most carpenters that do kitchens have installed the minimal amount of duct work for this. They just have to be carefull with the number of ellbows and the lenght of the duct.

When my disposer broke I called
Tucson Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
after selecting him from Angie's list, as it appeared that he was an individual and not a large company. I had purchased a new disposer and needed to have it installed as soon as possible. I was struck by the fact that
Tucson Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
asked me when it would be convenient for me, instead of telling me when he could do the job. He arrived at the agreed upon time, went to work, finished the job promptly, and cleaned up. He also offered to haul away the old unit, which saved me a trip to the dump. If only all other service providers were as pleasant, courteous, prompt, and fairly priced!

In the midst of my family Christmas baking my 7 year old KitchenAid Pro mixer started to make a grinding sound and I picked up the smell of a hot motor. The closest factory authorized repair service is in
Tucson Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
and the other option was to ship the mixer to the factory. We called a number of small appliance repair services listed in the Yellow Pages but none service mixers. Went to Angie and found this listing. Mr
Tucson Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
was at my door within an hour and took the mixer to his shop. He determined that the motor is going, contacted KitchenAid and arranged for a warranty replacement mixer. It is anticipated that it will be a few more weeks before the replacement will arrive so Mr
Tucson Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
serviced the motor so that I could continue baking for the holiday. The mixer was back in my kitchen first thing the next morning. Mr
Tucson Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
is very professional and a pleasure to work with. I put his contact information in my address book and will call him with any future small appliance problems as well as a need for other services his company provides. I highly recommend this business.

Everything about our service call was excellent.
Tucson Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
, who answers the phone and schedules calls, is always friendly and very helpful. Our service technician,
Tucson Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
, was awesome. He was punctual, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He took extra time to explain everything to us and to provide us with better explanations for running our dishwasher in order to avoid future problems. Our
Tucson Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
dishwasher, which was barely out of warranty, had quit working.
Tucson Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
explained that it is imperative we use the Finish tabs, rather than Cascade, because the excess detergent had caused the problem.
Tucson Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
needs only a tiny amount of detergent and absolutely not more, which is not explained in their manual or website.
After he left, I noticed a small amount of water leaking under the dishwasher.
Tucson Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
came right back out and replaced a gasket (or something) and included it in the original service. It was probably related to what he was doing the first time, but regardless, there was no hassle or argument about additional costs that I've gotten from other service companies.
Tucson Small Appliance Repair Provider Name Locked
also helped us solve an easy problem with our fridge filter as we chatted, and he even gave me tips on buying our new appliances. He worked carefully and didn't rush--takes pride in his work. He is full of information and happy to share!
This is a locally-owned family business, and I am happy to recommend their work to anyone needing appliance repairs.
