was prompt, courteous, and friendly. He was conscientious, taking care not to scratch the floors or damage the sofa when bringing it inside. He also agreed to do some unplanned additional work- moving some heavy items from one part of my house to another- for a small additional fee that I proposed. (Normal fee for sofa delivery would have been $50.) One convenient thing about
Tucson Movers Provider Name Locked
's services is that he has no minimum requirement for number of hours worked or fee paid- e.g., he'll do small jobs such as this one for a fair price. Overall a good experience, and I'd definitely recommend his services. ***update: please note- this service provider is partially mis categorized. He should be considered for services in MOVING, DELIVERY, and HAULING- not handyman work. (The site wouldn't let me update the categories I originally entered.)

"The communication with the owner was easy. The workers were 30 minutes early, which was a bit of a surprise but not a big problem. They worked at a sustainable pace with a few short water breaks on a hot day. They took care with my belongings, and as far as I can tell, any damage was caused during the transit and before

helped me. They provided hand trucks and furniture dollies, which not all moving help companies do. The price was reasonable. Employee appearance was not exactly professional, but these guys are doing hard physical labor, so what should I expect."

Important questions to ask before hiring a moving company

Ask about hidden costs. A company should be able to provide you with a list of fees you could be charged, such as moving large items or traversing stairs. (Photo courtesy of Angie's List member Jim R. of Travelers Rest S.C.)

Dear Angie: What questions should I ask a mover?
Dear Eric: Who you hire to move your personal belongings is a big decision. As with most services, there are scams associated with rogue moving companies.

Moving? Avoid these 3 hidden fees

Moving companies can jack up prices on boxes, ropes, dollies and blankets, so make sure you know what's included before you pack up. (Photo courtesy of Two Men And A Truck of Fort Lauderdale/Boca Raton)

If you're moving, don't get stuck with hidden fees you didn't anticipate. Moving companies can hit you with fuel costs, trip charges and equipment fees for things like dollies, blankets, cords and straps.

Tips for moving out of state

One way you can make the move easier is by weeding out items you don’t need. Have a yard sale or find a local charitable organization and donate items you no longer use. (Photo courtesy of Angie's List member Charles T.)

"It was much smoother job than we thought it would be. The two guys that came out did a very good job. They were very competent and very careful. They knew what their job was. The price was a bit more than the estimate because they didn't see the things that had to be moved. I would rate them high on all categories. "

"I've used this company for moves in other states. As before they were excellent. This is not a 'full-service' cross-country moving service, but ideal for moves within a few hours' radius. They charge a tad under $100/hour for

their 26 foot (or so) truck. There is a ~$300 'service fee' to cover the cost to get the men and truck to the first place, and then to cover the return after they drop it all off. I called and did a phone estimate, and the very pleasant and helpful man on the line offered to come out and eyeball my possessions (did we need 2 trucks and four men, in other words) but I foolishly declined. As a result, not all our stuff fit on the one truck, but I had planned for this and it wasn't a big deal. The

were fairly laconic but pleasant and took our directions well during the loading and unloading. There was almost no damage, and what damage there was was far less than I've had with the 'big name' moving companies. (Although I guess TMT is now more a less a 'big name'.) I disassembled all my own beds and furniture before loading to save money; they'll do it but at $98/hour it makes sense to do that yourself if you are able. These two guys worked from 9a thru about 8p and were pleasant the entire time. Highly recommended. Overall the total price was about 60% of what one of the cross-country moving companies quoted me, and they weren't even able to promise a same day move. They wanted to load on day one and drive and drop off on day two.

"It went great. They were right on time and worked very hard. They were polite and professional. They came in about $200 under the quote they gave us. They moved my kids huge play structure with no problems or extra charges."

"I called to set up the move two weeks in advance. My husband and I were paying for the move, so we had to make arrangements for payment since we don't live in the same city as our daughter. Not a problem, they told us. I went up the week before to help organize. The owner, himself, came to do a walk-thru the weekend before the move. He gave us some idea of where to start, and what things not to worry about - so that it was easier to prioritize our own efforts, prior to the move. On the day before the move, his crew arrived to pack up, on-time. The day of the move, same story. It was organized and professional. Having just gone thru a nightmarish, cross-country move, with my own mother, this was a perfect move. We will use this company, ourselves, in the future. Thanks

"We are very happy with their service so far. At this point they are just storing our belongings but we will soon be asking them to move them to our new home. We appreciate their ability to communicate effectively on phones as well as e-mail. Their are very easy to reach."

"The initial load went well. They were careful and didn't damage anything. However, when they delivered the furniture to our new home, several pieces were damaged through carelessness and they damaged our home as well. Door jambs and baseboards, in particular, were damaged (smashed). We were not happy at all with their lack of professionalism and lack of care for our furniture and home. I would never use this company again and would certainly not recommend them to anyone. We even went out of our way to provide them with drinks (Gatorade, water, soda) and be nice and this is the thanks we got.

needs to hire some more professional movers. They offered us the

to fill out a damage report for them to repair the damage, but we just do not want to deal with them anymore and will fix it ourselves. It shouldn't have happened in the first place. In one example, had they simply removed a door, damage to the jambs and couch would not be there.

"They are appropriately named ... "
Tucson Movers Provider Name Locked
". It was as good a move as we've ever had (and we've had many) from the first contact by phone to the removal of all moving debris at the conclusion of the move-in. Their communications with me were excellent along the way ... both timely and very useful. They provided detailed explanations of things we needed to know to make the move go well, e.g., guidance on making arrangements with the management companies at both locations to avoid any problems/delays on moving day. The movers arrived right on time well-equipped to begin work, and very efficiently and quickly got it all done. They treated our belongings carefully as if they were their own and delivered everything with no damage. The crew was friendly and professional, and a pleasure to work with. They checked with us several times during the to confirm all was to our satisfaction."

"They did a really good job with the move. The items that were damaged were not important at all so I didn't really mind. The most important larger items were very well taken care of. I would definitely recommend them for anybody that needs to hire movers."
