"I signed up for satellite internet service because of the supposed high speed of the service. The installation of the service was never done. The company will not" schedule a time for installation, the schedulers will just give a 4 hour "window" of when the installer might show up. The scheduling is very frustrating, there will be two different companies calling to schedule the install. One company that will call you is the contractor that does the install (notice that does not have their own people to install BIG RED FLAG). Then the corporate office will call to schedule installation ( the corporate schedulers barely speak English). The corporate and contractor schedulers do not communicate with one another (another BIG RED FLAG). They charged me $20 to "overnight" the equipment to me for installation, nothing ever arrived and the installer supplies the equipment, so I was charged for nothing. I scheduled the installation but the installer had to cancel, so I rescheduled. The second installation "window" and the corporate office calls ( at the end of the appointment time) the installer cannot show up...reschedule. The third install time time "window" and the corporate office calls ahead of time to cancel ( after I have taken time off of work for the 3rd time) . The FOURTH installation time "window" ( time away from work again) and no show, no call this time. I call the corporate office and ask what happened and I am told the install guy ran out of equipment ( the equipment I paid to supposedly be overnight shipped to me...nothing ever showed up). So I finally got tired of this and asked to speak to a manager. The manager gets on the phone and states " Sorry, we are real busy". I cancelled the service. Yesterday I received a bill for the services. Apparently cannot get the service they provide installed or functioning properly, but they can quickly and efficiently send a bill AFTER they get cancelled. DO NO DO BUSINESS WITH INTERNET THE COMPANY IS A SCAM!!!

"After leasing equipment for 9 years, one of the basic boxes went out. After 2 days of calling trying to get service, I was told I would be" charged $50. for them to replace "THEIR" broken equipment. I told them I would call Dish if they didn't want to take care of their own equipment after 9 years, the customer service agent told me to "GO AHEAD". So I did, Dish was there in about an hour & installed their equipment. Later I receive a call from a "Supervisor" who said " OH, I can waive the $50. service charge". I told them I already changed service. For the next 2 months, they emptied my checking & savings accounts, & maxed out my credit card. All because I was stupid enough 9 years earlier to give them this info. for auto pay. In one month they had charged me "early termination fee", really, 9 years & they call that early termination. Overall, they had charged over $1000. on my accounts & would not even discuss it with me until I turned them in to the Arizona Attorney General's office. All of the sudden, returned all the money they stole from me & told the Att. General that it was a computer glitch. are nothing more than a pack of thieves & liars...Do yourself a favor & stay away from this thieving institution. They even have the "WORST" rating at the BBB......Check them out for yourselve. An extremely horrible company to have to deal with, I will do without or Internet before I would ever go back to them. I forgot to mention, they "NEVER" even bothered to say they were sorry. My experience was when I was in Tucson, Arizona.

When I called (because my computer would not connect to the internet),I was quickly connected to a live person much to my surprise. She looked up my record and said my modem needed to be "refreshed" (I think those were her words.) In just a couple of minutes I was again connected to the internet. There was no charge ...More because I pay a monthly fee for cable TV, phone and high-speed internet. But for how little I use my landline phone and cable TV I think the overall charges are too high.

I was a customer for many years. Their service was reasonably priced, tech support was always helpful, even with stupid questions. When they were bought out by another company, the quality of their support went down a little, but tech support hours were expanded; someone always answered the phone or called back within a couple ...More of hours, and was able to fix the problem. We no longer have because we moved to another part of town that they do not service. I sorely miss them since we had to go with one of the national companies with pricey service and non-existant tech support.

I first contacted Qwest, now in May, 2011, to install DSL at our new home. They turned on the service. The company said we didn't need to be at home for them to turn on the service. The day they were to turn on the service, I received a call from the technician who said that nobody was home and he couldn't complete ...More the order. We rescheduled for the next day. Technician showed up and said the cable from the junction box to the box at the house was bad and needed to be replaced. He ran a new cable, on the ground, from the junction box outside the back gate to the box on the outside wall of the house. There was 20-30 feet of cable lying on top of the ground in our back yard for the dogs to trip on and pull. The tech said he would put in a ticket for the company to get someone out to bury the cable.A week later, I called as I hadn't heard from anyone about scheduling burying the cable; they said they had no record that a ticket was put in for the work. The rep was very helpful and said she would put in another ticket. Another month goes by, so I called again; no ticket could be found in the system. Another ticket put in for the work. This went on for over three months. Finally, a tech came out, again, said she would put in a ticket, and within a week, someone showed up to bury the cable. Fine, so that was in August. Since then, on 4 occasions, my secondary email account disappeared. Calls to tech support are an exercise in frustration. The first time, the tech support guy had an accent so thick I could hardly understand what he was saying. All he did was walk me through the steps I had already tried. We ended up having to delete the account and set it up again, after spending over an hour on the phone with tech support who had no idea what to do. Same thing on the second and third times. Today, the email account disappeared again. Another hour on the phone with tech support. The final resolution was that a request was put in to email support who are supposed to investigate the problem and will get back to us in 24-48 hours. In the meantime, no email on the secondary account, which belongs to my partner. They couldn't even redirect the email to my address.

I called other companies to see how much they charged. I spoke to my phone company and they saw that I had just been signed up for DSL. The person I spoke to with processed an order for DSL. I called them back right away to cancel it. They told me if I would not have called right away, I would have been charged a $179 cancellation ...More fee. My complaint is they misused my credit card.
