"They did a phenomenal job on the entire job. It was a complicated shower and they did a great job. The were very clean, precise and courteous.
was professional" and very skilled about every aspect of the job and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone. Beautiful job and a great crew! Everyone loves my bathroom! and the kitchen looks fantastic too, it was very expensive tile and I was a nervous wreck, but there was no need, they did a beautiful job.

"Due to a cut waterline, de-watering was necessary and the toe kick at the bathroom cabinets was dislodged for the purpose of blowing air under the cabinets.
" came out the day after I called him, reviewed the toe kick damage and discussed ways to fix the damage. He recommended a new toe kick to match the cabinet finish be placed over the dislodged toe kick. The new toe kick was ordered and installed, covering the dislodged toe kick. The fix looks better than the original since the new toe kick was finished plywood, and not a laminated thin section. Even though this was a very small job,
was willing to assess the problem and fix it!

"After I gave him the dimensions and request, reply was they only do stains for their finishes. I ordered a piece from Pottery Barn. Would of preferred supporting a local small business" . No work was preformed so I can evaluate the quality but servicing the needs of the customer was poor.

Not really.  If the contractor is very careful and you are really lucky he might be able to pull them out and then reinstall them after the new cabinets are installed.  A lot of this will have to do with how well the counters were installed in the first place.  Also, the existing countertops may not line up with the new cabinets exactly in some areas as well as they do now.  The better option is to have the cabinets refaced, leaving the boxes and tops in place.  Unlless you have deteriorating particle board cabinets you should be able to get a carpenter to do this.  If you decide to remove the countertops and install new cabinets factor in new tops and be pleasantly surprised if they can be reinstalled afterall.  Realize you probably won't find a contractor willing to gurantee not damaging the tops.  If you do, dig in and research him well.  He likely doesn't have enough experience.

IF dirty enough to make for a musty odor, then paint won't stick to them properly anyway. Paint is not your solution - you probably need a Deep Cleaning. Try to pin down what types of smell it is - if damp, mildewy; rotten food; or musty fabric - will help guide you to the source maybe. Another thing to do is keep all doors closed for a full day when outside temp is such that furnace and A/C can be turned off - then walk around the house, sniffing - preferably with 2 people - and see if one room is the major contributor. I have played this game, and found all the following as sources of musty smells: 1) linen in a closet without ventilation going slightly mildewy 2) water leak in walls or floors enough to cause mold but not drywall staining or visible water 3) carpets needing cleaning 4) water leak in bath or kitchen leaking under floor, causing mold there which is not pronounced in smell because under the flooring 5) attic mildew/mold from leaks or moisture condensation on insulation/wood 6) moldy plants outside - left in garden/flower bed in fall, so rotted in winter/spring 7) clothes in closets touching outside wall, so in very cold weather acted as insulator and let freezing front come to inside of wall, causing frost and moisture to buildup there from the inside moisture, eventually causing mildew/mold (same process as condensation/ice on inside of windows with curtains over them) 8) failure to clean behind kitchen appliances and under sink, or under washer/dryer/dishwasher at least when repaired or changed out 9) heavy lint accumulation in bathroom fan going mildewy 10) grease trap in kitchen exhaust fan never cleaned 11) washing machine going moldy - run a cycle of towels or such with bleach and Borax 12) the number one cause I have found - clothes stacked in closets or hope chests or such for decades get very musty even if clean and ventilated

As long as the counter is big enough Corian is one of the easier ones to work with. Since it does not have the ground or crushed stone that some of the other material have you can work with normal woodworking tools. A saw with a fine tooth carbide blade and a professional grade router with the proper shaped carbde bit can be used if the edge needs finishing. A belt sander helps on cuts also. The only problem you might have is if you need the joint kits for seaming as I dont think you can buy them.

When Corian first came out I could buy the slabs and fabricate my own tops and then Dupont went to a certified distributor system and would no longer sell to those of us that had been working with it for years. I will admit that they did have reasons for this as not all that were working with the product were doing it right.

Tucson Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
has been very helpful all through the process with picking out the style of cabinet, wood, stain, etc. I was able to borrow the cabinet door sample several times while looking at granite for the countertops, door knobs, and sink. The project started and finished on time. The cabinets are gorgeous!
Tucson Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
did a great job. He also coordinated the install of the new countertops and sink. He was able to leave the old sink connected right up until the countertops were installed. He came early the morning of the countertop install to remove the old countertops and sink.

Wonderful. Cabinets fit well, and are square and level. He provided rawers instead of doors. Very pleased with that. Color and finish are exactly what we wanted. The price was well below what we were expecting.

We started in November and it was to take 3-4 days. There were multiple delays with materials and then materials came damaged and had to be sent back (sometimes twice). They had to come over often and this was an inconvience but we remained cooperative. They would say they were "done" and we would find multiple things that were not done. We took a lot of pictures and provided them to the company. I think the issue was the quality of the wood in that it would not tolerate much adjustments. The doors were not lined up, many are warped so they don't close smug, there are multiple seams that show, handles were not lined up and the spaces between the doors are not straight. We had the owner come out and she came in on the defense and was disrespectful to us. She tried to blame the fact that we had refacing but we would point out the same issues with the new cabinets, she kept instructing the installers to make adjustments but they really could not be adjusted any more. She essentially said we were too picky. I asked her if I could see another clients results to see that we should accept the quality. (Home Depot cabinets line up better). She argued, belittled us and took no responsibility. We were clear that we thought by having a professional company, we could get a professional product. We spent almost 30k on this project and we are stuck with it. If we had paid 15, we might have accepted the quality. The project was finished mid April, 5 months! It is one thing to disagree with the the customers on some things but she was defensive and rude from the start-even when it was so obvious. Sad.

I was looking to buy a wallbed so of course I looked at the other store in town and then called
Tucson Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
. He was very nice and his prices were better, but still a bit more than I could afford. After talking to him he called me back and mentioned he had a month old slightly used bed and he would sell to me with a new mattress for a much better price. He was able to come by my house the next weekend to measure to make sure it would fit. I ended up changing my mind on what I wanted and added a few extras to the side fixtures. He built the rest of the unit and was ready to install in less than 2 weeks. He called to set up a time and had it installed even helped me clean out the old room in about an hour. I love it and would definitely recommend him and his wife. Very nice and I like buying local. Not easy finding good quality craftsmanship anymore and customer service to go along with it.

Good. We received the estimate a few days later and decided to go with another of the contractors on Angies list that we had talked to.

We wanted to replace existing laminate countertops and were not sure what would be the best material for us. We went to the showroom and got to speak to the person who makes and installs many of the counters. He was very patient and answered lots and lots of questions that we had. We chose a few samples and made an appointment for an in-home estimate....More /> After seeing the samples in our kitchen, we chose a solid surface called Starion. A price was quoted that sounded very fair to us and we set a date for the work. Our old countertops were removed, templates for new countertops were made and new counters were installed a few days later. They disconnected and reconnected our plumbing (sink, garbage disposal and

unit). The work went smoothly and we were given thorough instructions on how to care for the solid surface material.
We are very happy with the new countertops and the entire kitchen looks brighter and more in proportion to the rest of the dining room now.

I am writing this review as honestly as I can, telling the good, the bad and the ugly. This is a long read, but worth it. I employed

Carpenter’s Custom Cabinets to reface my kitchen cabinets. My cabinets were originally white and then

painted over with a faux gold color.
Tucson Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
’s bid was one of the lowest so I decided to go

with him. My first encounter with
Tucson Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
was disappointing because he had no samples of the stain that I wanted which was deep

cherry. He told me he does not keep samples because he has no room for them in his shop. That was surprising because you can go on line and order many, many different samples of stains on many different types

of wood for a dollar or two a piece and they are only as big as a 3 inch by 4

inch sample, so I
Tucson Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
’t know why he would not have room for that in his shop. I just think that when you are in the business of staining wood, you need to have samples. Expecially if you have been doing it for 30 years!! So, because he had no samples to show me, and after I told him I wanted a deep cherry stain, he offered to make me a sample,

but he was unwilling to bring the sample to my home because he lives some where

on the very, very far west side of Tucson and I live on the East Side so I had

to drive across town to meet him to see the sample that he made for me. I cannot express how wrong the sample

was. It was not even CLOSE to a deep cherry stain. I was shocked that a man in business for 30 years did not know what a deep cherry stain was. He told me that in 30 years of business, no one had ever requested that type of stain.

I find that hard to believe. On HGTV, almost every modern

kitchen they show has dark wood kitchen cabinets!!! So, I told him the sample would not work and

he indicated that he really didn’t know what I wanted. I ended up going to
Tucson Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked

(can’t say enough good things about the guys who work there. They were extremely helpful and friendly) numerous times

buying $75 worth of stains and driving across town to meet
Tucson Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
on his job site

several times to get samples of the cherry wood to put the stain on because he

would never come to my house. During this process,
Tucson Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
did make one more attempt to find a stain that would work for

me. He foolishly bought a an entire
Tucson Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
of this particular stain which

did not work at all and then he proceeded to tell me at least 4 times that he

had paid $40 dollars and then mysteriously the price went up to $50 a
Tucson Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
on

a stain that he probably would never use.

It was clearly meant to make me feel guilty, even though I had already

spent $75 on stains which I told him I had.

I finally figured out a combination of two stains that made a lovely deep cherry look and gave him the stain

to use on my cabinets. The choice of the top cabinet

crown molding was limited to only two choices.

I did not care for either one, so I chose the
Tucson Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
of the two evils,

which was very flat and not what I would call quality crown molding. The job took 3 days and every day he played

his portable radio very loud in the kitchen and I had to listen to Rush

Tucson Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
and
Tucson Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
Hanity all day long. I find them both very offensive. He played the radio so loud that

I had to retreat to my bedroom to watch TV because I could not watch it in my

family room which is open to the kitchen. I turned it down a few times and he would just

turn it up later. I just
Tucson Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
’t think I should have to tell a

professional that it is not acceptable to play political talk radio all day

long. After he left on the second day of the job, I

was surveying his work and I noticed that one strip of the veneer had very

noticeable bumps. I pointed them out the next day and he seemed irritated with me.

I told him he needed to fix them and he said that they would mostly be

covered when you shut the cabinet door. Later in the day, he told me he did his best

but he could not eliminate the bumps.

They were lessened, but still noticeable. I decided that I could live with them because as he said, they were mostly not

noticeable when the doors are shut. But

just tonight, I noticed on that same strip of veneer there are now two short

slits that look like someone cut the veneer with a razor blade that have

erupted that were not there before, it is very disappointing. Also, I had to pay
Tucson Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
extra to cover the

bottom of the cabinet over the refrigerator which was totally white and

completely visible. When I noticed that

he had not covered the underside of the cabinet, he said that he never covered that part of the cabinet

as part of a total cabinet refacing (even though it was white and TOTALLY visible!!!).

How crazy is that??? How can you consider it a complete job when part of the old cabinet is clearly visible?

After having said all this, which is all completely true, I will say in all honesty that I love the overall look of my

cabinets (minus the one strip of veneer with all the defects). I can also honestly say that had I known all

the crap I would have had to go through to get my beautiful cabinets with
Tucson Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
,

I would not have gone with him even though he was inexpensive. There was another bid that was just as

inexpensive as
Tucson Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
’s but I picked
Tucson Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
because the other guys personal hygiene was not good.

Note to self: Do not pick a contractor based on personal hygiene!!!
