The workman,
, was very nice and personable and did a good job. He identified a couple of other minor leaks on the bathroom faucets that I did not have repaired because I felt the charge was too much for the work required.

oI received a phone call purporting to be a business acting for the state. They offered me a free energy audit which would take about half an hour. I had a TECO audit when I bought the house nine years ago but nothing since so I made an appointment for Saturday morning November 23, 2013 for 9:00 AM. At 9:30 AM I called the contact number I had been given asking for information. The gentleman called me back to say there was a large pile up on the freeway and that his guy was in it. He offered me another appointment that afternoon for 5:00 PM. He reiterated that it would only take half an hour. I had been up since 4:00 AM and knew I would be tired by then but could do a half hour.
The representative showed up promptly and looked at my hot water heater and attic. He provided information on federal rebates which are substantial and energy savings over several years. He was likeable but quite aggressive. When we sat down for further discussion he pulled out a large notebook and went into his salesman routine. It was very similar to buying a car. Lots of rhetorical questions (e.g., would you rather put the money in you pocket or give it to TECO) . Once I determined that the state had nothing to do with this entire process, I asked him why the man on the phone had given me fallacious information. He said they did represent the state but was unable to explicate exactly how.
By this time I was beyond exhausted and asked him on two different occasions to please leave and come back and finish on another day. He repeatedly said he just needed a few more minutes and ignored my requests. My house was to be his demo house for area code 33604 and I would get a
break for allowing them to put a sign in my yard. They would throw in a free solar attic fan. He also pointed out the increased value of my house. Stupidly, I acquiesced. He insisted it be installed the next day, Sunday. The crew showed up at 10:30 Sunday morning. The two men were pleasant and seem careful about my house. After a couple of hours I noticed no work noise but lots of exhortations and long phone calls. I went and asked what was happening. The crew leader told me there was a leak in the heater and they would wait for an hour for a new one to be delivered. Things went downhill after that. There was a lot of cursing and banging. Apparently there was a lot of water spilled because they used twenty of my utility towels which were left sopping wet outside full of leaves, twigs, etc. They were finally finished around 5:30 PM.
I called the company Monday to complain about the mess and all the cigarettes butts in the front yard where the company's truck was parked. I was told that the crew knew better but that they would be strongly reminded about the rules when they were in someones home.
The next, Friday, my handyman was at my house and I asked him to oil my dryer as it was squeaking. When he pulled it out the new water heater was exposed. He took some pictures and emailed them to me. I had noticed the new
was dented but further back was an actual break in the
. Behind the heater was the overflow pipe. It was only about 6 inches long and was aimed outside the
toward my 1925 hardwood floor. Needless to say I payed him to fix these problems.
I called the company the following Monday and detailed the problems. What I wanted was for a competent crew to come out and inspect my system to assure me that there are no other problems. I would also like to be reimbursed for the labor I paid to fix the
and overflow pipe. The man I talked to said the owner would be back in town Tuesday and would call me. I have waited for over a week and received no communication from the company.

On the morning of 10/22/13, around 7:00 am, I went to my garage to exercise. I stopped to check a recently-repaired leak in the roof (because it had rained the day before), and the area with the leak was fine, but I noticed water on another part of the garage floor. Upon closer inspection it wasn't so much water and a small river flowing peacefully away from thje house and toward the garage door. I traced the flow to its source and my water heater was leaking from the top pipe joint, gurgling merrily down the side, and overflowing the drip

onto the floor, forming the river.
I calmly freaked out and turned the valve on the pipe feeding the water heater to shut off the water supply. The valve closed 3/4 of the way and broke off in my hand. My alarm was not lessened by this turn of events. I turned off the breaker to the water heater, since I felt no compulsion to send a river of hot water our the door; a cold water river would have to do.
I went inside and called

plumbing. I have used them 5 times in the past and am embarrassed to see that this is only my second review. My bad. I called around 7:15 am and left a message with their answering service about the issue. At 7:39 am, I received a call back from the office clarifying the problem. They said they would have someone in my area soon, and to expect a call. I notified my job that I would be late and settled in to wait. While I waited, I looked on the Internet for how expensive replacing the water heater would be.
Right at 9:00 am or so,

knocked on my door and we looked at the water heater/fountain in question.

confirmed, as I thought, it could not be saved. My research said replacing the water heater should run between $700-800.

's quote was $760, exactly as forecast. He said that he had the tank on the truck, but needed to get a new valve and such back at the office. I stopped him and asked if I could upgrade my water heater to a 50

tank (currently a 40

tank). I had been meaning to look into that for a long while. He happily showed me the price for that ($820, or $60 more), whih I accepted. I also told him I had an issue with my master bathroom toilet and would like for him to look at that as well (so I could save the extra trip charge);

agreed, no problem.

left to get the parts and returned about an hour or so later (10:30 am or so). He replaced the tank, building new pipes because the larger tank took up more room. When he was done, he looked at my toilet, which needed its flushing mechanism rebuilt. All told: water heater, toilet repair, trip charge and $20 coupon from the last service came to $904. I found the problem around 7:00 am, and all the work was done by noon. Hard to complain about that!
Since the work, I have had plenty of hot water and a perfectly flushing toilet (for the first time in over a year). I'm a big fan of

came out to do the installation. He was a very nice young man and gave me an estimate. Once I approved it, he began the installation of the new unit. He took the time to do the install correctly which had not been done on the previous unit. He replaced the copper water lines with stainless steel ones and also raised the unit up off the concrete garage floor. This had not been done by the previous plumber, thus resulting in the unit leaking before the warranty was up. The work was completed in a timely manner, and

even came in the house to do a free water test for me before he left. I highly recommend these people and would use them again should the need arise.

Super job by

from
Tampa Water Heater Installers Provider Name Locked
! He stopped by after hours to check my water heater and verify the problem I was having. My hot water stopped running and while I haggled with the manufacturer over the warranty covering the replacement, he was extremely helpful, professional, and prompt. When I got the new one, he expertly un-installed the old one and put the new one in. He was careful with the dealing with the electricity, water shut-off, and gave me expert advice and answered all my questions. I only had to pay the total labor cost, which was very reasonable for South a Tampa prices, while Rheem credited me after I took the old one to Home Depot.

was very accommodating to help me out and get my hot water working again! I would recommend them to anyone!

Our Lowe's top of the line hot water heater starting leaking water at the bottom of the unit after 10 years of use. After checking through Angie’s List for a hot water heater and to have it installed, we selected

at 24/7 Plumbing for our new Rheem hot water heater. We got it with the additional anode for an extended warranty; but when

went to install the extra anode it would not fit. After a brief call to Rheem,

was able to trim the top plastic piece with a knife and the unit fit fine.
We then discovered slight water pooling in the

at the bottom of the hot water heater. We called

to come back out to see if the water heater was leaking ever so slightly. He came and discovered that my copper pipe leading to the hot water heater had a slight pin hole. He was able to reconstruct the octopus pipe leading to the hot water heater for a nominal charge of $149.00. The total cost of our Rheem hot water heater installed with a 10 year warranty was $782.06 for Angie’s List members over the
standard price of $948.69.

First of all, this company worked diligently to make sure I used the service I paid for. Soon after my purchase they called me to schedule. We scheduled twice and I had to cancel both times. I had the reschedule call on my "To Do List" and they called me again to reschedule.

showed up a little early today (no problem), put on his booties so as not to mess up my floors, went through exactly what he would do and why he was doing it. Then he explained and showed me each finding. He commended me (actually previous owners) for double paned windows, weather stripping, and so on. He made it clear what I needed to do to have my house in tip top shape and explained how his company (if I chose to use them) could help. He was on time, courteous, very informative, extremely professional. I am going to have them do some work for me in the future. Great use of my $45!
