Tampa Kitchen And Bath Remodelers Reviews
His visual helped to seal the deal on our contract. His recommendation of the
I would definitely recommend
We were advised that construction would not start until all of the material for our project was on-hand. Approximate lead time was 6 weeks, which was very close to actual start. However, as we neared the end of the project, the master bath was the second one, there was a delay for the counter top. It was appears the KBF did not order the material when we signed the contract. KBF subs the sone work to other companies. I think I should have had them use another company I was familiar with, which is a company KBF had done business with before.
We were charged additional for some items that should have at least been quoted. Specifically, water supply shut offs for the bathrooms. The existing valves were 29 years old. When I asked about replacing them, the initial price was going to be $40.00 each. I didn't pay the full price but I was charged for the valves, 12 in all. I understand there is a cost but on a project of this size, the cost should have been included in the quote, considering the age of the house and the old valves.
Most of the time the workers arrived on-time at the time I specified. The workers were always polite and friendly. The workers that I worried the most about quality were the plumbers. They seemed to be the newest members of the crew. Some of the crew had been with the company for 5 plus years while others were new within the last 6 months. The carpenters, electricians, and most of the tile workers did a great job.
Overall communication was somewhat disjointed. After you sign the contract, the sale rep doesn't want anything to do with the customer. You're handed off to project manager. Mine came to the worksite on only 2 occasions. I was handed off to a new supervisor, who had been one of my tile workers. He did a great job and communication with him was excellent. I felt the KBF leaders were pushing too hard at times to just get the job done since the final balance was still owed.
Also, the painters that KBF subs out to, Partners in Grime, were terrible. They did no painters prep of the walls before slapping paint on. There were a lot of see through areas and rough spots after the paint dried. They also only painted the base board and not the connecting trim around the bathroom door and the closet door. I had them return once to fix some of the omissions and found more after they left. I was so disgruntled, I did not call them back choosing to fix the problems myself. Using KBF's painter is an option. I would recommend using a painter you're familiar with.
We had the Granite guys here the same time, which having with the granite.
