Interior Painting Reviews in Tampa

Made all arrangements with
. He was comfortable with a Saturday appointment. I simply had to pick a color online from
. The painting was done by
). He was very professional and did professional work with a professional finish. I purchased a coupon off Angie's list so got each room for $200. Just so you know, the price does not include closets so you would either need to paint the closet yourself or negotiate that . I would recommend
to my south Tampa neighbors.

We are very happy with
and will preface this review by saying we are probably the most particular customers
has ever had. Though this review will be long, it will be worth reading. We had a wood floor damaged by a plumbers mistake, and had numerous large square cut-outs of drywall to be repaired. We contacted five drywall companies via email with pictures attached to obtain quotes, and
was the only person to immediately contact us and actually come to our house to meet. Only two other companies responded via email and their prices were much higher than
and had no detail at all. Upon arrival,
showed us his credentials, insurance, etc. and was extremely professional. We didn't know it, but found out he could also remove our wood floor and install tile. He was prompt to provide quotes for the work and helped us obtain an additional $1,000 from the plumber's insurance company by calling and explaining his quote to the insurance agent. We had the drywall repaired first, and it took a little time before he could schedule it, but on the day of work
showed up on time and were quick to start the project.
are clean cut and super personable, we were very impressed. They laid down rolled paper in all areas where they were walking and took care to prevent the drywall orange peel spray from hitting areas outside of the repair. They finished the job in one day, which consisted of 16 cut-outs, the largest being 44 inches by 12 inches. When finished, they cleaned everything up and made sure we were happy with the final product. The tile project consisted of removing around 450 sq. ft. of hardwood floor in one room/closet, and installing approximately 970 square feet of hardwood ceramic tile in three rooms and two closets. We supplied the tile and grout, and we decided to add 3x24 inch tiles to the 6x24 inch that he had quoted to install. He was very fair and the additional cost was $250. He quoted just a bit higher at first, but was very reasonable and agreed to do it for the fee we requested. On top of that, we had the tiles off-set from each other, which added another level of detail to the job. Scheduling took a little time as
had to coordinate with his subcontractors but we were pleased he fit us in two weeks sooner than originally estimated. On the first day, we were surprised and happy to see
arrive on time as we didn't expect to see him again. He was quick to start removing the baseboards and the floor removal company showed up on time and went right to work. The floor company had two workers and the owner also showed up and helped! We thought this was going to be an all day event, they were in and out in four hours! They used a riding machine and did not have to score the wood to remove it. They also placed plastic sheeting at all openings to ensure dust containment and protected our French doors. The threshold on our front entryway doors was damaged from the machine riding over it, but this was due to dry rot and we did not expect them to repair it. However,
took it upon himself to make the repair and the seal is better than before! On the day of the first room to be tiled,
showed up on time at 8:00. However, the only reason I am giving a B rating on punctuality is because the two tile workers didn't show up until 11:00 (they said they had bought the wrong thin set and had to return it). They made quick progress and finished the 450 sq ft room in approximately 3 days. The day before the grout was to be placed
made a surprise visit to inspect and make sure we were happy with the progress. After the grout was applied, we noticed that instead of being the dark chocolate we expected, it was lighter and had numerous areas of white streaks. It was a Laticrete 1500 tri-poly fortified sanded grout. We wrongly suspected it was an error caused by improper preparation and/or application. I have to be honest, we suspected this because the tile crew was not following the Laticrete slaking instructions and didn't allow the grout to set the minimum amount of time before sponging it. So when they returned after a week to complete the other two rooms, we put
through the ringer to ensure the guys followed instructions. Well, the grout started showing white streaks again, but not as much. So we contacted
and he was extremely professional and promised they would make it right and had the owner of the tile install company come to our house to speak to his workers (they only spoke Spanish with some broken English). This time around,
and I both watched the process and
even prepared the grout and applied it using distilled water (to eliminate the potential it was hard water causing the issue). On top of that, there was no thin set in the grout lines which could leach into the grout. When it dried, once again some white streaks. I called
to inform and apologize for being a pain. He was extremely professional and never once did he dispute us. We tested an area of the grout with Sulfamic acid and it worked great to remove the whiteness and darken the grout. I was surprised that either
at one point offered to have the tile guys acid wash the grout, but we didn't feel that would be ethical since it was not their fault. Near the end of the project, the tile guys were starting to grout over freshly laid tile and I told
I did not want them to do that, so they came back the next day to finish. In summary (finally right),
and his crews were all very professional and I highly recommend them to everyone.
is a young guy, but mature way beyond his age. I work with contractors weekly in my industry and I have never dealt with a better contractor! They are worth the money for sure.

Ed arrived promptly at 8 AM, and worked diligently throughout the day. Everything went smoothly until the very end, when we discovered that an external electrical box prevented attachment of the last shutter to our brick exterior. Ed offered a way to chain the shutter to the house and returned the next business day to finish the job. Fortunately, my husband was able to remove the electrical box, so that Ed could easily hang the last shutter when he returned. Again, we were very pleased with the work provided by

came out to survey the proposed project. He was very nice and we talked about at length about their work with wood stains. I told him I wanted to use TWP 100 for the stain. He later called back that day to tell me that, according to the manufacturer directions, new decks would have to wait one year before staining with TWP 100. However, I looked it up and TWP says 4-12 months before staining. Of course how long you wait depends on the climate. Since we live in Florida and the deck is out in direct sunlight after four months the deck was showing signs of drying. For example, popping nails, cracks in the wood, signs of cupping, graying of the wood, and etc. We had other companies and the contractor who built our deck come out and tell us to stain this deck ASAP. So, I contacted
Tampa Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
to tell him about TWP 4-12 months readiness for staining and that we will select his company for the job. He agreed.
The next day I received an email from
Tampa Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
containing a proposal that included price and materials. We asked what warranty was there and he replied that there was none since TWP says to wait 4-12 months before staining new decks and that my deck does not fall within that safety area so therefore my deck does not qualify for a warranty. We also asked for a contract and he replied that we don't need one. The signed proposal is enough.
Where we needed to sign it explicitly states that we approve the terms, specification, and price. We authorize you to draw up all necessary contract documents so work can begin. I replied with that we have been burned in the past for not having a binding contract written and would respectfully request one containing a stated warranty, assurances of quality, itemized list of costs for materials and labor, step by step application process of the stain, start date for the project and approximate ending date, and assurances of payment to subcontractors if used all to be stated on a binding contract.
Tampa Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
replied that they don't think its necessary to write up contracts for jobs less than $10,000.
His last email to me stated that it is clearly too early to stain my deck so a warranty cannot be given and they had canceled my order and declined the job.

's earlier excuse for no warranty was that TWP says wait 4-12 months to stain a deck with TWP. Then says my over 4 month old deck is not ready to be stained? He also never saw the deck himself. Was it the warranty excuse or the written contract request he had a problem with? Pretty shady to me.

We were very impressed with
Tampa Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
who is super knowledgeable and wiling to share information. He spent a lot of time with us looking at the job, talking about options and explaining what he planned to do and why. We felt like he and his company were trustworthy. The crew did a good job, cleaned up after themselves very nicely and everything went pretty much according to schedule, even in the middle of a rainy Florida September. The house looks great with the new paint job and we'd definitely use
Tampa Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
again. They weren't cheap but it seemed a fair price for the work.

Tampa Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
is a true professional. When a company or a person is going to provide a service, it is impossible to evaluate the work beforehand, as can be done with a product before the purchase. Even favorable recommendations for a service cannot be 100% reliable because one can never be certain of the source nor the motivation behind the comment.
In my case, working with Mr.
Tampa Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
, I focused on asking the right questions about painting my house and listened intently for the promises that were being made within his answers. In a service, all we have is the promise before the plans are executed. After I hired
Tampa Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
all I could do is cross my fingers and hope all would turn out as expected.
The results were extraordinary and flawless with the house looking spectular! This accomplishment did not come without problems. Initially, we had some color conflicts with the paint manufacturer which
Tampa Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
handled gracefully and reassured us that the end result would meet our demands. In fact, his promise was that we would be 100% satisfied and that we would determine what 100% looked like - you can't get better than

I have nothing but great things to say about
Tampa Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
. First off, the painting itself was excellent. The painters clearly took pride in their work and it showed. That being said, there were also some other things that really stood out. There were always and plenty of painters on site working on any given day (3-4). This made the process go much faster. They were quiet, neat, polite...just nice people. It made it much easier to have them in my house all day. Also, I live on a quiet street in South
Tampa Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
and parking is a bit tight! All the painters parked in places that didn't block my neighbors or traffic and they were quiet & neat (read: not leaving trash, no blaring music at 7am). Lastly, and this is really important, anything issue that came up was resolved quickly and easily and no one ever acted like it was a problem. I really appreciated the awesome paint job and the professional manner of the painters. I will definitely use
Tampa Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
again and recommend to others.

I contacted Superior because of its excellent Angie's List reviews.
Tampa Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
responded promptly to my call for an estimate, came out to my home within a week to take a look at the scope of the job, and seemed very professional and knowledgeable. He said he would provide me with an estimate for the work that evening or the next day at the latest. Well, it has been almost two weeks and I have yet to hear back from
Tampa Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
. I have left two voicemails for him and have received no reply. I now see that Superior is offering special deals for interior painting, so the company must need work. Evidently, they were not interested in our work. I suppose
Tampa Interior Painters Provider Name Locked
did me a favor in not responding. If you can't even provide an estimate or call me back to let me know you are not interested in the job, I doubt you would be very responsive or prompt on the job itself.
