"A couple of years ago I updated our kitchen and hallway. I liked all the individual changes but it just wasn't working together. I read the reviews for
on Angie's List and decided to get her professional opinion.
...more is a very likable and down-to-earth person. She told me honestly what she liked and what she thought needed to change. She considers expense and realizes everyone can't always afford to rip out everything and start over. We talked through many ideas and it was a pleasure to work with her.
Her suggestions transformed our tiny entryway into a much more welcoming room.
also has a great eye for color. Turns out the wall paint was the final piece that pulled the whole kitchen together. Thanks to her advice I'm very pleased with the final outcome for both rooms. "

"She was very good. She was on time and very helpful. She looked at the rooms I wanted to do and we talked about paint colors. She then painted the colors on the wall. She carries samples with her. She advised me on bedding and is going to show me ...more some fabric samples. We also talked about my dining room and decided on just getting new chairs and a runner for the table and a rug. I did not feel she pressured me at all to do anything. I was very satisfied. I asked her to give me a price on doing some of these things."

"I wanted help in picking out the colors to paint the interior of my new home. I made an appointment and received a call on the day of the appointment. They asked about my décor style.
showed up with some ideas and samples. We selected colors for the first floor. Then she returned on another day to complete the second floor. ...more The colors work well and I like them. My only concerns were that she was late for the appointment. Also, I wish that they had told me upfront that a house of my size would take a certain amount of time. I would have preferred to get it done all at once. "
is extremely talented. She has an eye for color and quickly found material for drapes that perfectly matched my color scheme. The pattern is also perfect. Her prices are reasonable as well. You will save yourself time and money if you use her services. Do not try to do it on your own! You also get the benefit of professional ...more installation, a huge plus. "
"I scheduled a one hour consultation at my home and within that time Pat developed a color plan for my walls that would incorporate my existing furnishings and my design preferences. She knew a great deal about color, lighting and paint. This is the only contact I have had with this company but I would call them again for future design needs.
& Concierge Service beginning March 14th through March 25th. I was hosting my wedding at my home, therefore I needed it cleaned top to bottom, organized, & decorated.
assisted with catering, & coordinating & planning the wedding, from picking out the decor, music, & food. ...more They were an absolute delight to work with, informative, knowledgeable & always punctual. I'm going to hire them to do my regular weekly cleaning of my home & will use them in the future for any of my party needs. Their prices are reasonable compare to some large company prices"
Interiors. We had a great experience with them. They came in on budget and within in the time frame they outlined, managed the process professionally and have addressed every issue or concern we have had since construction quickly and for free. The date of our initial consultation was in late February ...more and the bathrooms were completed in early June.
Here’s the long version: In February 2011, my husband and I decided to renovate our guest bathroom, our master bathroom and make some small updates to the pool bathroom. My husband researched several companies on Angie’s List and called
for an estimate.
came out to the house. I showed him the changes we wanted to make.
emailed us the quote and we arranged a time to visit
’s showroom to look at tile choices.
One of the big benefits of going with
was the personal service from
the entire process from coming up with design ideas to going with us to pick out all the fixtures and meeting all the sub-contractors at the house. The first options for the master bathroom were a little off – too neutral. We were hoping for a spa-like look.
quickly put together a different set of options that we loved. We joked that the guest bathroom could stick to his neutral color palette and we’d go more adventurous in the master bathroom. We gave a small deposit at that meeting on March 1, 2011.
On March 11, 2011,
came to the house with all the tile samples to do a final review and make sure it was all going to work in the space. We signed off on everything and added a few more things to do the to do list. That afternoon we went to
’s to pick out all the faucets/shower heads/ sinks.
had all the specs from our house so it only took us about 20 minutes to pick out what we wanted. It was a great process.
met us to double-check what we had picked. It turns out he had a much better idea for what might work in the master bathroom so we switched our choices from brushed nickel to a pewter finish.
outlined that the process would take 4 – 6 weeks because he did not schedule the sub-contractors until all the materials came in and had been double checked.
On March 30th, we returned from vacation and followed up with
. Some of our materials were backordered. About a week later,
asked if we were available the week of April 25th. On Friday April 22nd at 7:00 am
came over to review everything one more time. (We picked the 7:00 am time and
graciously accommodated us.)
We were to start demo at 7:30 am on Monday April 25th. We gave
a deadline that the master and guest bathrooms had to be done by the time my husband came home - May 26th. Since my husband was leaving for a month for a work trip and I travel frequently during the week, we decided to tackle the guest bathroom and master bathroom at the same time since they both were going to be permitted and save the pool bathroom for me to use when I was at home.
brought over some mirror options. He picked out two fabulous mirrors for both options. Then he coordinated the drop off of all the tile and plumbing supplies and double checked that the order was complete and we were ready to go. It turns out the rod and hand held showerhead were missing from the order so he called and got everything straightened out. I think four times that morning my husband and I looked at each other and said “This is why we hired
!!” He left about 11:00 am.
Over the next month,
ran into problem after problem: installer’s daughter was sick, he had to get the manufacturer of the waterproof shower to come to install the shower, and he had to deal with permits and inspectors and was at our house nearly every day supervising the crew. And we had to add redoing the living room floor because he discovered moisture under the floor boards. He had a crew and the hardwood at our house within a week. The one challenge I had was that
would often tell me what he HOPED to have done by the end of week and I expected to have all that done when I got home. This lead to a number of late night angry emails from me about why we were off schedule and each time he would patiently and professionally explain how we could still meet the schedule even though everything he hoped would get done didn’t get done. On May 25th, he had a full crew working all day to finish as much as possible before my husband got home. The only things that were left were final touches on the pool bathroom and the custom glass enclosure. Overall, we were so impressed with the service and end product. Plus, there have been a couple issues that have come up since the construction – a misaligned drawer, a malfunctioning sink plunger and he came quickly to fix those for free."
is fabulous. My husband and I recently purchased a home and I was under a time constraint within which to pick out interior colors before move-in.
returned my phone call the same day and gladly adjusted her schedule to meet my deadline in less than a week.
arrived promptly, and ...more was such a pleasure to work with....she's funny and down to earth (not stuffy like so many designers I've worked with in the past), focused (we picked colors for my entire house in less than two hours) and she listened to my likes and dislikes.
has a great eye for color, and has professional training to evaluate undertones in color selections. This was critical for me because I have a history of thinking a color is right....until it is all over the walls.
not only picked out colors that worked well with the tile, cabinets and backsplash, but we brought the colors back to my current house and matched them to my rugs and furniture.
followed up with me the next day, as I had asked her for a reference for painters. I am already looking forward to working with her again to do further interior decorating, as well as color selection for the exterior of our home."
), we bagged the idea of a renovation for about a year. Once we braved it again, I thoroughly researched options by speaking with friends, neighbors and checking out Angie's List. I called a few companies and
...more was obviously one of them. The first thing that impressed me? A real person answered the phone, took my name and number and within about 30 minutes, I got a call back from
Z. He has a great personality, put me at ease immediately and really LISTENED to me, even my concerns that I shared regarding previous bad experiences with "other" contractors. I made it pretty clear up front that if he couldn't deliver, we weren't interested. We'd been that route before. Since I liked him on the phone, we set up a meeting at my house. Listen to this, folks: He was ON TIME! Even early (scored points!)!! He looked over the kitchen and again LISTENED to us. Shortly thereafter, we decided to hire him once we checked up on his references. The best one "If you don't hire this guy, you're a fool. He's not like other contractors." I couldn't agree more. From the get go,
was GREAT with communication. I am not joking when I say that he would call me back within 15 minutes of leaving a message on his cell phone EVERY TIME. WITHOUT FAIL. And email? He's a gem. Promptly returns email and if he can't track you down by phone at one number, he'll typically try 2 or 3 other numbers (work, cell, home) to be sure he stays in touch. He came with us to select all cabinetry, hardwood floors, and granite (about 3 1/2 hours of his time at his recommended vendors...great suppliers who really are customer focused), helped me with recommendations for plumbing fixtures, tile, lighting, paint (did on my own).
has an expectation that the customer will "do his/her homework" to keep the process flowing. As long as we kept up, he was happy and jobs got done, in a shorter time than anticipated. His crew is totally professional, hardworking, and they keep the job site clean!
was a fantastic painter and unbelievably courteous and
, the tile and do-everything guy, is a
! I love
. He went out of his way to
out glass tile backsplash in a design he'd never done before that really challenged him, but he did it without complaint. In fact, they even redid our tiled entry way which had been falling apart b/c of a BAD contractor job with original construction. I asked
if he'd tack that on to the job. He quoted over $1000, when it came in at $750, guess what? He charged us the $750.00. I was floored.
was willing to address each and every concern that I had regarding the job as it went on. His team was always on time or early, stayed late as needed, and addressed concerns that came up even once the job was done and all money changed hands. His payment setup is fair, he's honest, and a great business man."
