Tampa Excavators Reviews

"I asked my plumber (A rated on Angie's list) who they would recommend for septic tank installation. They said

's so I went to
Tampa Excavators Provider Name Locked
's office with a copy of my permit. They made a copy of it and emailed me later with a quote. I went back and gave them a 50% deposit. They scheduled the work according to my best time. The crew arrived on time and were very good. They used a laser each step of the way to be 100% accurate. They had to get 3 Health Department inspections so it took three days to complete. During drainfield installation the

crew chief noticed a potential problem that the permit didn't show and he advised me about it. We decided to move the drainfield slightly to avoid the problem. The next Health Department inspection went well and the inspector was impressed we caught the potential problem before they did. Although my wife and I aren't thrilled at having a 2½ foot berm outside to look at, the final product looks fine. It is probably we're so used to flat Florida that a hill is an anomaly. Anyway, the crew chief told me all about maintaining the system so I feel confident in having it.
"They were reliable and very accomodating of my need. They were had great communication skills and were easy to work with. They were very accommodating because I had to keep on moving the date when the work was going to be preformed."
"Our yard sloped up to the house because the previous owners didn't take care of the yard that well. They cleaned up after themselves. They took off about about two inches of ground. I had a little bit of a problem getting them out."
"It became clear our drain field had failed during late 2006. We contacted several septic companies but

(somehow also connected to

Septic) was the only company to respond. We first contacted them in Feb 07 and they completed the last work in Aug 07. We had hoped to complete the septic work before some home remodeling began in April 07 but various delays cause an overlap which, in turn, caused further delays. The longest stretch of no work was a large open hole for the entire month of

"I had two estimates for this job. The other estimate was $2,495. I was concerned about
Tampa Excavators Provider Name Locked
's low estimate. I called the company and spoke with
Tampa Excavators Provider Name Locked
. I asked him to come out and take a look to be sure that is a correct estimate. I wanted to be sure it was a fair price. He declined and said "Since you have it in writting, I'll stick to it." This shows great integrity. The work was completed in one day. It was an excellent job and my plumbing works perfectly. I can't say enough good things."
"Fleet's prices are very good. The service is excellent.

and his crew are always responsive, returning calls same day or next day. Always on time. Always perform the work exceeding expectations. Always pleasant to deal with. True professionals.
"My garage was flooding with no visible leaks over the weekend. I knew it was a leak because turning off the main water supply had stopped it but I could not figure out where it was actually leaking.
Tampa Excavators Provider Name Locked
came out to assess almost immediately and although he suspected it might be in the wall behind the water heater, rather than tearing up the wall, he called in a leak detector to find the source and assigned the job to another plumber,

. The leak detector discovered that the leak was not actually in the garage at all but in a pipe outside that had completely saturated the ground to the point that it was begun to flood the garage.
Once the problem was discovered,
Tampa Excavators Provider Name Locked
wrote up an estimate. I also asked him to include a modification to my kitchen drain since it was a long-overdue job I had been putting off for a while. He estimated both of these at $580 (plus $250 for the leak detector) and minus a $30 coupon. The job ended up being more complicated than anticipated as the water from the street could not be completely turned off and the old pipe he was attaching to sprung a pinhole leak once the water was turned back on. In the meantime,
Tampa Excavators Provider Name Locked
and another plumber returned to help, completing the kitchen job since the leak was taking so much longer.
Despite the extra hours, I was only charged the original estimated price. Throughout the process, everyone was polite, professional, and worked very hard to complete the job. I was very impressed and will definitely use them again.

came to our home at the end of March after my wife found his company on the internet to discuss what needed to be done to make the pond operational. He provided an estimate of $1500.00 and stated he would begin work on 10 April 2013. He never showed up. On Sunday 14 April he called and said that he would begin work Monday morning. We stated because he did not show up as promised we called another company for an estimate and did not want his services. He stated that he had already procured the liner and would like to do the work. We consented and he came with his helpers on Tuesday morning to begin the work.
My wife called me at work somewhat upset because they had ripped the liner while installing it, but pulled it above the water line. She was not happy with the way they were placing the rocks because the black liner was showing in several places. Mr.
Tampa Excavators Provider Name Locked
left and returned with several additional rocks and stated the cost would be an additional $200.00. At that time my wife also discussed the possibility of adding a UV light to assist in making the water clearer. He said he could purchase and install it. That was an additional $500.00. Prior to purchasing the light he asked if we could give him $1000.00 in cash to defray some of his expenses. On the way home I stopped at the Credit union to obtain the cash. What I did not know at the time was the labor he used were Illegal Aliens. I figured that out when he told my wife that he needed to pay his men.
When I arrived home at about 4 PM and inspected the work. I saw that the extension cord to the pond was simply laid over the paved sidewalk from the socket on the side of the house and exposed all the way to the pond (about 10 yards). I told him this was unsatisfactory and he would have to bury it. He said he would return in the morning and do that, which he did with the assistance of another man.
The UV light appeared to be installed ok but I later learned it should have been placed vertical, not horizontal to make it more efficient. All appeared to be done correctly until the next day.
On Thursday evening after the work was finished and he had been paid, we noticed that the water line on the pond had gone down about 3 inches. At this point my wife was so upset she called
Tampa Excavators Provider Name Locked
at Pondscapes in Tampa. They originally put the pond in and we should have called them to begin with,
One of
Tampa Excavators Provider Name Locked
's men came over on Friday and discovered that water was leaking from the PVC pipe that carried water from the lower pond up to the waterfall. This pipe had not been correctly glued and therefore was leaking outside the pond. Once fixed the pond no longer leaked.
We learned a good lesson from this fiasco. Once of which is to deal only with reputable companies.
It was obvious that Mr.
Tampa Excavators Provider Name Locked
knew nothing about pond construction or repair and I highly recommend that he and his company do not be used in the future.
"The folks at this company were a pleasure to work with - from the concrete removal through the travertine paver installation. Their professionalism, courtesy, and quality were quite impressive and I highly recommend them!!
"The work involved a great deal of excavation.
Tampa Excavators Provider Name Locked
Sanitation Service was unable to start right away because of the rains but once it dried out, they were prompt in getting starting. They pulled the permit and did the work professionally and promptly. They were careful about the plants I wanted to keep and even transplanted one for me. I was concerned about the hill it would create in my front yard, however, they did an incredible job of making it look really good. They also responded to any phone calls or questions that I had and were very pleasant to work with.
