"Provider showed up on time. Started on roof and showed me a huge ball of lint. They then moved inside and cleaned the rest of the vent pipe. I could not believe how much lint was in there.

If the ducts are venting through a window I'm assuming the duct work is all easily accessible.  Lowe's and Home Depot sell a cleaning kit that uses an electric drill to spin the brush as it goes through the ductwork.  I've found it to work quite well and you can do it yourself.  It may take a few passes the first time to get everything out if it has been a while since it was last cleaned.  Just make sure you get all of the loose lint out after running the brush through from both ends and you're good to go.  Please note that if the line is not hard but rather a flex duct line you can easily puncture a whole in it with this kit and will do better to clean it by hand.

As stated above, it can vary between companies.

Typically just an inspection implies you do not have a contract or agreement that may include discounts or free repairs.

With our company you would get the annual maintenace service that you should do every year, and if repairs are needed, they are extra, but you aviod paying a "service call charge" that would be related to most repairs, because you are paying for the "inspection" and we are already on site.

Inspections are often discounted in the slow seasons, and can usually be found advertised , at reduced prices , on Angie's List.

So consider Angie's List and find the best of the best in HVAC contractors!

I have never seen one of this type that does not exit the house. You would not want the grease dumping into your basement, even with a filter it will happen.

The greater part of your job will be carpentry as if there is a wall behind the stove a hole will have to be cut up through the basement into the wall up to the stove. Unless it is one of the stoves that allows for it to fit inside a cabinet below. To answer correctly most here would be a picture of where this project is being done. I have done motorized ones that extend up out of the counter when in use and then retract. Those exit through the cabinet and require the cook top is to the front of the counter and not a drop in one

As an added note these tend to be better as they do not pull the heat away from the stove top when in use as much as the ones flush with the stove. I have install quite a few and happen to have an Amana cook top with built in down draft and I have to shut it of to get water to boil on the back burners.

A carpenter will know what can be cut and what not in the basement, a sheet metal contractor should know as well but at the other end for the finish by the stove they might not. Most carpenters that do kitchens have installed the minimal amount of duct work for this. They just have to be carefull with the number of ellbows and the lenght of the duct.

Appliance Repair reviews in Tampa

When I called Mr
Tampa Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
for an appointment I explained I could only schedule an appointment on a Saturday due to my work schedule. I also requested I be scheduled first on the list as I help my husband run a business and am very busy with those tasks on Saturdays. I was agreeable to a Saturday morning appointment and I was informed my window for service was from 9-11AM.
I informed the scheduler I needed the technician to arrive at 9AM due to other appointments on my calendar. He assured me I was the first appointment on the schedule. On Friday, I received a confirmation call from Mr
Tampa Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
and again I was assured I was first on the list. I re-iterated I needed the technician to arrive at 9AM. Again, the caller stated I was first on the list and he sounded exasperated and

. I told myself I was tired from work and shouldn't read into it.
Here's what I got on Saturday. At 9:45AM, no technician and no call from Mr
Tampa Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
to advise the technician was running late etc. I called the office to see what was going on. The employee confirmed I was first on the list. I asked where the technician was as he had not yet arrived. The employee rudely said "Let me tell you something, our technicians are just arriving at the office at 9AM. When they are done here then they go the appointment." To which I replied "Then why did you tell me your technician could provide service at 9AM. Isn't the window really 10AM -12 noon? Again, I got the same exasperated and rude "Let me tell you something, we don't have control over traffic and the time of the traffic lights." I am NOT interested in traffic patterns or excuses. I AM interested in the time the technician is arriving at my home because I have other appointments to get to. Punctuality and consideration for the customer matters. No apology for miscommunications or anything else. Just excuses.
Due to the
Tampa Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
and rudeness from the employee, I cancelled the appointment. About 5 minutes later my husband showed up as he had a cancellation. A rare occurrence and he offered to wait for the technician. I called back and got the same rude employee. He mentioned my appointment had been given to the second customer in line. No surprise there. He did offer to schedule another appointment for another day. No thanks. Mr
Tampa Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
would do well in training its employees on customer service, professionalism and time management.

The 8" burner on my 20" Premier electric range started acting funny. If I set it on
Tampa Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
the burner heated steadily to HI; the burner only went to a full high setting. Mr.
Tampa Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
came out and replaced the switch that regulates the electric flow!(?). He used a GE generic part, about the size of a travel alarm clock. The burner is back to normal.

My fridge came with my house, so I know it's at least 16 years old, maybe even 20 years old. Last month it stopped cooling but that was an easy fix: coils were cleaned. Perfect.
Tampa Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
, who did that cleaning, came out and got it running again, but he only charged for the service call. After getting the fan to work again, he said to let it run for 24 hours to get cooling again. I think he had an inkling that the fridge had met its demise. After 24 hours, still no cold air. I called
Tampa Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
and he said that to repair the condenser would be more than the fridge is worth, best to replace the fridge.

Thanksgiving was approaching and my fridge stopped cooling. The light worked, as did the fan, but no cold air. My usual appliance service could not help me until Monday. I searched Angie's List and found

came out, on a Satuday, took a look, checked the fan, saw the coils were caked in dust. He did a

We received a prompt response after purchasing the service to schedule the appointment. We were able to give a choice of dates and times that were acceptable with us. We received a prompt reply to our choice of dates and

Appliance Repair and Sales arrived promptly and were professional and thorough in servicing our dryer vent. We are pleased to give them and excellent rating and would definitely use them again whenever needed.

We purchased this service to have two toilets fixed (they were running constantly) and a third one that we wanted a new flush handle instead of the push button one that we had purchased from Costco.
They came in, inspected and said they could fix 2 but did not recommend fixing the 3rd since it was all rusted inside.
This is when I asked if they could do a replacement with my choice of toilet from Home Depot - the American Standard Vormax that had great reviews.
They said yes, but they would charge a markup for it - which is normal since they would also warranty the toilet and the install.
They did mention that if the toilet flange was broken, they there would be an additional charge for these. I asked them if they could guess - they said they could not.
The +s:
- always called before coming in
- were extremely punctual and on time
- wore booties when working inside
- really experienced people who know what they are doing
- caulked everything up after the install
- took away all the old stuff and the packaging etc
- made the purchases for us at homedepot even though they normally do not use them (don't know why everyone uses

The -ves:
- wish they gave an estimate of what it would take to do a job over the phone (especially for things like replacing toilet)
- a little better cleanup of the area after the job is finished

Very well.
Tampa Appliance Repair Experts Provider Name Locked
responded via email and the repair man called prior to arrival. He was on time and did the repair in about an hour. He determined that the problem was a clogged drain and not the electronics. Excellent work. Greatly appreciated.

The service call appointment process was very good. I would say the promptness of the just OK - apparently one of the repair men had quit and our repairman was late. Took some time to get the dishwasher out and it was put back slightly crooked. Asked him about the the reinstall and said he used the same holes. I ended up repositioning the washer correctly. Overall experience was so so. Will look elsewhere next time repair service is required.
