Buck is very knowledgeable and responsive to all calls.
The crew worked hard and did a very good job overall.
The only complaints that I really have about the work is that some of the plants were trampled(a couple didn't survive) and some cleanup. As I mentioned before, they removed drop-in FullBack insulation. This stuff brake and leaves thousands of small pieces of insulation everywhere and is very difficult to remove from the ground, especially the rocks(landscaping). Even though they send a guy out with a shredder/vac for about 3 hours you could hardly tell anything was done. I tried my shredder/vac which didn't do the job either. Bottom line each piece would have to be picked up by hand to thoroughly clean the area. Also there were a lot of nails mostly in the rocked area.
When they were removing existing brick from the ffont of house and garage, they assured me they would not damage shrubs and perennials planted there. I offered to move them and they said it was not necessary. Then their crew proceeded to pull off the bricks and let them drop on my landscaping - damaging and killing several shrubs and plants. They also helped themself to using my plastic garden cart for hauling away brick debris - ruining it. When I asked to be reimbursed for actual damaged shrubs and plants they gave me $100 and told me that their lawyers would
I would never, ever, ever use this company for anything. I can't believe they are actually on Angie's list.
We were mailed a brief flyer telling us to move chairs and patio tables inside because they could be broken with falling debris from the roof. So we did that. Everything that was even remotely close to the house was moved indoors. That's all we knew to do. No one called us to tell us what was needed of us on the day of the project so we were unaware that the crew would need a power source. Since there are no outlets on the outside of our house we would have needed to arrange something in advance. In the end, the crew foreman went to our neighbor's house to access her outlet. When we got home that night the crew was still working. In the process of the job, they had broken a small frog statue that was on the far corner of your yard. Not in the path of the workers. There was debris from the job everywhere in the yard. The foreman told us to use a path along the side of the house to take our dog to the bathroom. Luckily we checked it out beforehand and discovered that the path that had been pointed out was strewn with roofing nails. The grass was full of giant nails.
We found out that there had been three layers of shingles for the crew to remove before they could do the new roof. Because we had only just moved in a few months before, we didn't know anything about the previous roofing jobs. So we were not able to give a heads up on this fact to
We had plans for the following day but after a multiple irate phone calls to
Now in June, we are having leaks in our porch roof. One guy came out to inspect this two weeks ago. He said he did see some "spacing issues" in the roof so another guy would be out the next day to take a look and fix it. It's been two weeks since that and we haven't heard anything. We have, however gotten lots more rain. Finally last night we called to see what had been done. It was Sunday so we left an explicit message requesting the detail of the fix work. Low and behold, I received a voicemail this morning from the guy who was supposed to be out two weeks ago to look at the "spacing issues", asking me to call and tell him what's going on with my roof so he can come out and take a look. Seriously?
I'm sure there a people who have had good experiences with this company but ours has been terrible and they can't seem to get it right. Hopefully we are the exception.
In order to protect our gardens, we signed up for their winter special at a 10% discount, but because of an unusually severe winter, work did not begin until March. They came out to the house, removed the exisiting masonite siding, covered the house in housewrap, rebuilt the soffits and repaired rotting wood and then installed new HardiPlank siding and trim. The workers were prompt, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable and skillful. When we had questions, we called or emailed the project supervisor and got an immediate response. The house now looks immeasurably better and we have only good memories of the whole project.
The door came and
We were so impressed that "for giggles" I asked how much it would cost to replace the siding on our entire house (we has some very minor hail damage and some discoloration so it had been a "dream" project for quite some time for us). His price was well within the range of what we expected. I signed up that night for the siding as well. He was reluctant and said - I would suggest you get other estimates - this is a big investment. But after seeing the quality and dedication put into my door I didn't care if I was spending more (which I absolutely do not think anyone else would have come close). This was also no ordinary siding job. My wife selected several colors and styles to go around the entire house.

The price was excellent, too.
My only complaint regarded the billing process. I paid one-half up front, and the other half when the work was completed. That was fine. My complaint is that the person who does the billing emailed the bill to me, and I didn't get it. I received a call from the office, asking me why I hadn't paid the bill, and I told the person because I hadn't received it.
Other than that one little snag,
The salesman offered to transfer me to his manager; I accepted. He then hung up on me.
