and his crew were fantastic! He went through exactly what they were doing and why they were doing it. The workers were very polite, efficient," knowledgable, and clean. The rooms where they were working were cleaner after the install than they were before it. The job was done in one day, as promised, including the electrical work, which was arranged by

responded promptly to my inquiry. The crew showed up as promised and worked quickly and efficiently to install the radon remission system." They cleaned up the worksite and explained the work that had been performed. Subsequent testing confirmed radon had been remitted. We are very pleased with the work performed by Advanced Radon Services.

Radon is a colorless, odorless gas that occurs as a decay byproduct of uranium and thorium. Radon forms naturally in the environment, and low levels can be detected in soil, rock and ground water. Homeowners that inhale radon are at risk of lung cancer and even death.

Radon Testing reviews in Saint Paul

Another contractor said I may have clay under my basement floor and that the above mentioned type of system would not work. Mr.
Saint Paul Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
from EES did more testing and analysis and said he could make it work. In fact, he only had to install one suction point in the floor and none in the walls to make it work. Apparently the first company that checked my basement did not drill their test holes in the right spots.
Before mitigation the radon level in the basement was 7.2 pCi/L and after the job was done it was 1.3. He guaranteed a level below 3.0.

Saint Paul Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
is the owner/operator of
Saint Paul Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
. He was excellent to work with. He was courteous on the phone. Punctual is his arrival for the on site evaluation and pleasant the entire time. What was truly appreciated though, was his willingness to educate me about a process I do not know much about. He did a great job walking me through the important aspects of what was involved and why each of those things was important. I would highly recommend calling him for this service.

I had done a short term and long term radon home test kit, and had indications of higher level radon in my 100 year old home in St
Saint Paul Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
Saint Paul Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
was prompt in responding to my email contact via his website, and extremely helpful in my home visit - also very prompt. As a fellow Navy veteran, I appreciated his background and experience and certainly can tell that his attention to detail and robust analytic approach to problem solving have been cultivated over many years of service to others.
Based upon his review of my particular situation, he determined that the best solution to my particular homes age, style and design were probably best remedied through a different channel than a normal venting system. He was knowledgeable and thorough in his approach to review the best alternatives to help my home and I would STRONGLY recommend him to anyone looking for a trusted advisor to improve their homes.

We called
Saint Paul Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
for an estimate on radon remediation in our home. They were quite helpful over the phone, asking questions and providing information. Based on the information they provided, we eventually went another direction. Although we did not use their services, their professionalism saved us time and energy and duplication of effort.

Showed up on time at scheduled date. Work completed as promised. Had to redo post mitigation test due to electrical problem.
Saint Paul Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
was great and very accommodating to my schedule for this. Very good experience.

I had gotten two other bids, which were substantially higher than
Saint Paul Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
' ($2785 and $2360 compared to
Saint Paul Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
' $1375). This was because the other two bids advised sealing our crawl space as well as installing a vent pipe and fan, whereas
Saint Paul Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
's proposal was to not seal the crawl space but install the vent pipe into the soil below the crawl space and vent the radon gas out, thus bypassing the need for sealing the crawl space. Additionally,
Saint Paul Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
acutely explained to us that, especially because we didn't start off with a super high level of radon, that installing the radon mitigation system without sealing the crawl space would adequately reduce our radon levels, thus reducing the amount of labor involved and therefore the cost.
One other bid also advised sealing the ductwork in the crawl space, replacing all of the insulation in the crawl space, adding house wrap to the ceiling of the crawl space, and removing other ductwork that we had in the basement. This would have added significant cost to our radon mitigation project. The bid for replacing the insulation alone (from another contractor) was an additional $2309. So we are super glad that we had
Saint Paul Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
come to give us a bid because his proposal got the job done at a much lower cost than other proposals.
We had a really great experience with this company from start to finish. When
Saint Paul Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
came to do the bid, he really thought about the best way to do mitigation in our home. We have an older home with complicated spaces for them to route the mitigation system through, but they still worked quickly and didn't run into any unexpected problems. After the first installation our levels were slightly high (2.1), which they had said in their proposal was a possibility. So they did a second site, as outlined in their proposal. They actually included the second site without any extra charge, which we greatly appreciate. We used our own radon monitor to verify levels too, and it was just very telling to see that they welcomed the additional information. They also communicated really well in explaining how things worked, what they were doing, and how to maintain the system. Would highly recommend them to anyone needing radon mitigation work.

We were referred to
Saint Paul Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
by our neighbors, who are specialist house inspectors themselves.
Saint Paul Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
scheduled the inspection for a day or two after we called. Our inspector,
Saint Paul Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
, was extremely thorough: he found a problem with the porch roof, dismantled the boiler enough to find that it was leaking carbon monoxide, identified several issues with the plumbing as well as the wiring. He was also very informative and helpful generally, pointing out things we would need to do to keep our house in good order -
Saint Paul Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
-point the limestone foundation; improve ventilation in the attic; clean out window wells; etc. On the basis of his report, which was extremely detailed, we were able to get the sellers to repair numerous problems that would have cost us many thousands of dollars to fix. We are now delighted with our new home.

The price without radon testing would have been $395.
- David M.

I have had various rating levels of radon in my house since I moved in (2005) ranging from above 4.0 to about 6.0. For years I had wanted to have someone come in and do radon mitigation but I kept putting it off. This winter/spring I had about 3-4 companies come and give me estimates for this work. I was however, highly impressed with
Saint Paul Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
's company because he is so knowledgeable about radon and the mitigation system. He believes in it. He answered all of my many many questions in person, over email and the phone. He was highly respectful and reliable. In addition, I appreciate their warranty program. Even though his estimate was the highest as compared to the other bids, I felt assured that he would do a great job! I think of
Saint Paul Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
as THE "guru" of radon mitigation - which is a good thing.

So, we first needed to schedule a pressure field extension test (about an hour), which was a test to see whether a radon mitigation system would work in my house. My house passed. :) Also on this day, he held the fan up to the wall of the first floor (outside) to see if I could hear it inside - which I did not. He wanted to make sure that the fan noise (which was nothing) would bother me. This was considerate. Then, we scheduled the radon mitigation. It took most of the day to install.

Saint Paul Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
did a fabulous job. Electrical for the fan was taken care of by an outside company but arranged by
Saint Paul Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
and included in my bid as well as a permit.

After they were finished installing the system, Walk talked with me about it in thorough detail answering all questions and explaining everything to me which I really appreciated. They cleaned up my basement and about a day or so later,
Saint Paul Radon Inspectors Provider Name Locked
came out to do one last thing that he needed to do - this was appreciated on my part. It shows how hardworking and responsible this company is. They did an excellent job!!!

I would highly recommend this company to all.
