Saint Paul Movers Reviews
I would HIGHLY recommend them!
It over 8 & one half hours for the move but the price was well worth it for their speed & efficiency. EXCELLENT SERVICE FOR A BIG JOB!!
In spite of the fact that the movers were extremely careless with my furniture, they drove about 15 miles per hour on back streets from my old place to my new place, wasting a ton of time.
I received an estimate in writing by email that they would take three hours to do the move. They started at 8:45:00 and ended at 11:45:00. Now, I understand how hourly billing rates work. If they quote me three hours, they're not going to take less than three hours to do the work.
However, when the guy wrote up the bill, he rounded it up to four hours. I said that was outrageous, that I had been quoted three hours, and that I would pay for the three hours that they worked. He said that they charge for the time it takes to drive to and from the shop. I told him I wouldn't pay him a dime more than the three hours that they worked. He told me that "if I gave him a generous tip" that he would write off the extra hour. I agreed. I was going to tip them anyway.
When the movers finished, they wanted me to sign a release that said that none of my furniture was damaged. Are you kidding me??? I wrote on the sheet of paper all of the damage that had been done. I never heard a word back from the company about the damage, and I was so angry with them that I didn't want to call to make an insurance claim.
I would never use this company again.
When moving the piano into the new house they dropped it on the new hardwood steps and broke the handrail. After they made it up the small set of steps they put it down on the wood floor and started to roll it denting and scratching the wood floor for about 10 feet.
Before the guys left I had them write down on the invoice that the damage the wood floor while moving the piano. I heard from the owner (
All moving companies run into issues, but it's the lack of following through with customer satisfaction that makes me say stay away from
Not having worked with them previously I was a little concerned when they hadn't shown up within 30 minutes of the 4-hour window we'd been given. They DID show up within the window however, and were in and out within less than 30 minutes. The return trip they arrived 2 hours late, but called in advance to tell me they had a break-down that morning and were playing catch-up. Again, they called me without prompting, and it wasn't a problem for my schedule that day, fortunately. They did a nice job with the move, staying in contact, and delivering as promised (other than the breakdown--but this stuff can happen, and didn't seem sketchy in comparison to how professional the whole move was).
Good, professional movers. Patient with little kids that are curious about large trucks. I would absolutely work with them again.
I recommended move. They chose
