The start date of the work was delayed because of the weather (I was one of the first spring jobs) but when they started they were able to complete the entire project in three days. They removed the old cement patio quickly and without disturbing the existing plants, including a large tree in the middle of the old walkway. We specifically asked them to hit a budget, and stated we were willing to sacrifice features. They came back with a bid that significantly exceeded that budget. The plan itself seems good, but it cost us over a $1000. We also had to press hard in the negotiation around the plan's contract to ensure that our ownership of the plan was clear. They wanted us to pay for the plan, then have no ownership rights to it, which seemed ridiculous. We intend to bid out the plan this spring to other contractors. We suspect that they will underbid
