"obtained estimate- responsive and efficient. Estimate was high but also the only company that was able to fix the problem in a way that I felt was the quality way to go. Work was done very quickly--much of the metal work was done off site. Prep work (removal of siding) was done by me--they worked with me to coordinate the timing. Statement came in mail--first statement was incorrect (for less than estimate) and I was notified with another statement that original statement was incorrect--I thought a phone call would have been more professional, but I didn't hesitate to pay."

"They gave an initial estimate, but let us know that in the course of completing the kind of work we needed, occasionally they discovered more rotted wood than was visible during a walk-around. And they did discover some additional work that needed to be done. However at all times, I felt that the additional work they were proposing was needed to protect the integrity of our house. The increase over the initial bid seemed appropriate to the labor and materials involved in the additional work.
The work started promptly after we gave them our deposit. Weather delayed completion, but all the work was done before winter hit. Their staff seemed polite and competent. We felt as if we'd done what needed to be done to protect our house.
The free T-shirt that they gave my wife was incredibly ugly. But the expertly accomplished work they did on our house was just what was needed.
We would definitely hire them again for additional work on our house."

"Got estimate for work in early June. Expected work to be done in 2-3 weeks but took an entire month to get someone out to install the new gutters. I'm not sure what happened when they removed my old downspouts, but now I have a strip down each side of my house with no stucco. You would have thought the installers might have at least mentioned this to me, but I was left to discover this myself. Now I have to spend another $500 to get my stucco repaired. Also, a corner of my roof was somehow damaged away from where the installers were working. I mentioned this to the installer, but he would not claim any repsonsibility for it, and would not do anything to fix it because it was where the electrical was coming into my house. The installer told me that Xcel should fix that for me (which they don't). So I have an additional $1200 repair on that. I though the gutters were on the expensive side to begin with, but after all the additional repairs that I need after they did there work, it is getting ridiculous. If I had to consider the cost of getting someone to clean my gutters for me twice a year compared to the cost of the new gutters, I would go with hiring someone to clean them. Too late for me."

"The work was done in October and November 2007. The initial contact and estimate work went well. He was courteous, professional and knowledgeable. The price was reasonable. I set up the appointment for the work to be done. Part of the work to be done was to replace the old fascia on the garage, on the front and back along the peaks of the roof on both ends. We needed this to be new wood because we were going to have it painted before the winter in a contrasting color from the garage. The painter had said this wood needed to be replaced. bid out the work to include that need, as well, and said it would be no problem and that they would and could do it. They arrived on time to begin the work. When the work was finished, they knocked on the door to let me know and I looked outside to see how the finished project looked. The guttering and leaf proofing work all looked very nicely done. I was very pleased. But, I noticed that the fascia on the garage was not replaced with new wood as was specified in the proposal. Instead, only a small 1 to 1 1/2 foot piece was replaced, the rest of the original wood was left as it was before. I called to let them know what I had found and I was assured they would talk to the person in the field who had done the work to get it resolved. Rather than calling me to let me know they would correct the work that hadn't been done to my request and what was in the proposal, the response from the company was that the worker in the field had said that he had "done me a favor" by the old wood that was already there. They made a decision separate from the proposal without getting my okay for the work to be done that way. So, what I thought was an oversight in the work was actually done intentionally so without my knowledge or permission. When I explained that I very specifically wanted new wood on those areas as was specified in the proposal, the response was still that it was still better than it was before and it was still almost the same as what was in the proposal. There was no offer or effort on the part of to correct it beyond getting the response from the worker in the field who had done the work. They also didn't credit me any monies for the part of the proposal they didn't follow through on, the fascia replacement. They also didn't offer to come out and replace the remaining old wood with new. I still ended up paying the full $1295.00. I'm afraid that the worker second guessing what had already been agreed upon between myself and the company in the proposal and doing work without my input or permission didn't settle well with me; nor did the company's lack of response about my concerns afterward leave me feeling very confident about my value to them as a customer."

"In late May 2008, after consulting Angie s List, I hired to do my residence. The person that first answered the phone said the estimator would call back and within the hour he had called, and we set up an appointment at my house for the next morning. He showed up on time, picked the proper color, measured, advised no gutters for part of the house, answered my questions, wrote up an estimate, and said that unless he heard from me the crew would show up on a mutually agreed day about a week later. A crew of 2 showed up with their equipment, were neat and business like, did not play a boom box (loud boom box noise is particularly annoying to me) and were cleaned up and done within 4 hours. My only complaint was they left me nothing to complain about. Imagine that!"

" responded to my urgent request for a quick estimate and fast repair of a leaky gutter, and a replacement gutter to be installed in the next week or so. He did a repair very quickly that next day, which stopped water from continuing to leak onto our front porch and front step. I had asked him to replace the gutter as soon as the weather and his schedule permitted, and he came back within two days and replaced the gutter above our front porch. He was prompt and efficient in getting the work done. Repair was $75, Replacement was $190. Price was the same as his quote."

He listened to what we wanted and compared to the other garage companies we talked to, included more details for the garage to make it match our house. All the while maintaining a competitive price. He wants his customers to tell him if there is ever anything that they are even a little unhappy about and he means it. His attitude is that the garage is going to be standing for a LONG time, so let's get it right. And he did. We couldn't be happier with our new garage and the job he did for us."
