"I thought that she was excellent. She listened and explained to me my options. She was just a thoroughly pleasant person who appeared to have all the time in the world. Her nurses and receptionists were much colder. Although she had asked me to get a release from my records, the receptionist didn’t bother doing it. I didn’t realize it until I left. They were very efficient but there was no sense of empathy or true interest from my perspective in the interaction."

"A terrific experience. Can't recommend highly enough. Her schedue is tight, and requires at least a month or two advance planning for an appt. We also bought glasses at their optical shop and they have been good about repairs, fittings, etc. Wish they had a locatio in Roseville."

"Assistant did 90% of the exam as is typical of most places. She did excellent job. Doctor spent 10 min doing eye exam. Didn't say much. Didn't comment on eye conditions - good or bad. Didn't ask if I was having problems. Didn't say if prescription was changed from last time. Just got impression he wanted to move on as quick as possible. Wasn't looking for a long conversation, just expected more input one way or the other. After all he's the Doctor - How are my eyes? Thats what the visit was for! Learned 10X more about aging eyes, cataracts, glaucoma, effect of diabetes etc from her as I did from the Doc."

"Went well overall. Discussed contacts and additional laser surgery but urged to use glasses as best treatment for near-sightedness. Simplest and most cost-effective way to go. Appreciated this as doctor could have tried to talk me into a more expensive option."

"He is an excellent physician and a good diagnostician but he doesn?t have any personality. He?s not really a friendly type of guy. He shined a bright light in my eyes and he wasn?t at all apologetic. He?s not concerned about the person as much as he is concerned about making the right diagnosis and doing the surgery correctly. He has a good reputation for being an excellent eye surgeon and diagnostician. When he shone the light in my eyes it was very painful and my eyes were tearing so I was trying to help him by using my hands to keep my eyes open but he just brushed my hand away like I was a kid. I hesitate to go back to him because I?m anxious about him doing that again in order to see if my macular degeneration has progressed. I asked if he could prescribe a medication to calm me down and allow me to relax during exams. He called me back himself and told me that he didn?t want me doped up at all and that I need to just endure the pain. I can take a bus to his office which is nice. He does so many things and he is so busy that it takes two months to get an appointment. You just have to be the kind of guy that is relaxed rather than tense and afraid like I am. They told me to call on a day that I was relaxed and they would fit me in but I found out that that isn?t true and they can get you in within one or two days."

"Dr
Saint Paul Eye Care Provider Name Locked
is very thorough in his explanations. His procedures are first rate, and I would have no problems in recommending him to anybody. In fact I have recommended him to several people for cataract surgery. His bedside manner is not the best, but other than that he is a very good doctor."

"A little over two years ago, I needed an eye exam and a change of prescription for eyeglasses. Prior to that my optometrist told me that my eye pressure was high normal. This time, I went to an ophthalmologist for an exam. The ophthalmologist said that my eye pressure was 22 and needed attention. Then he had my

thickness measured to prepare me for a

surgical procedure to correct my near-sighted vision. He did nothing to correct the eye pressure problem, so I became suspicious. I decided to get a second opinion from another ophthalmologist. A close friend recommended the doctor who saved his sight from sudden on sought glaucoma. Although Dr.

is qualified for opthalmic surgery, he referred my friend to a top opthalmic surgeon. In other words, Dr.

put his patient first. That action impressed me. Two brothers share an ophthalmology practice. Dr.
Saint Paul Eye Care Provider Name Locked
saw me almost immediately when he heard about my experience with the other ophthalmologist. Dr.
Saint Paul Eye Care Provider Name Locked
found cataracts in both eyes and eye pressure of 33. He immediately applied medication to reduce the pressure and scheduled me for a retina photograph and a peripheral vision scan. His instruments were modern and his technicians are well trained. I finished an exam visit last week. My eye pressure is 14 (12 14 is excellent). Eye surgery is in my future, but not at this time. When it occurs, it will correct the cataract, myopia, compensate for the astigmatism, remove floaters , and correct a wrinkling of the retina he noticed during his exam. If I had trusted the original ophthalmologist, I would be either blind in both eyes or severely visually impaired.
