"Throughout the entire project

was always available to answer questions and give advice or referrals if needed. Phone calls were returned promptly and he worked well coordinating schedules with our other craftsmen. Our project was a small job, but

gave us the attention and quality of work that you would expect from a total kitchen renovation. We are thrilled with our expanded, open space that

had the vision to suggest. We highly recommend

"In the summer of 2012 we fully gutted both the kitchen and bathroom in our 1939 year old home. We found ourselves in the
Saint Paul Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
not only for custom kitchen cabinets, but also a vanity and wall cabinet for our bathroom to fit our home and maximize space. We looked to Angie’s List as we knew we were going to be in need of many contractors during this remodel.
We sought out a number of cabinet estimates to make sure we were comfortable not only with the design and layout of the cabinets, but also the quality of the company, materials and people who would be coming into our home.
We were very happy working with
Saint Paul Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
on the design. He was helpful in making changes to the layouts and offered up suggestions as we were unfamiliar with the whole process. For example, we had a large plumbing stack that ran from the bathroom above the kitchen down the wall to the basement and
Saint Paul Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
was able to take that into account and cover it up nicely.
Saint Paul Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
provided a detailed estimate that ultimately met our needs along with an appropriate timeline for production and installation. Installation was a
Saint Paul Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
process and the guys that came to install were very professional and made sure everything was done to our standards. Even going out of their way to install on
numerous days as we had a flooring issue that needed correction.
A year has gone by and we have been extremely happy with our cabinets overall. Having custom cabinets is definitely worth
the extra time and money spent as it was imperative to utilize the most space in our home. When it came time to remodel another bathroom in our home, I knew I wanted to have Imperial provide a design and estimate and we’ve decided to move forward with them again.

"K2 was very helpful with design ideas. They sketched a design and had several useful ideas for the tile work to make the main bath interesting. They provided an estimate the same day as the initial consultation. Their bid was comparable to two other bids we received. Their recommendations were consistent with the style and time period of our home....more /> It took a while for the work to begin due to backlogs with some of their subcontractors (cabinets) and materials on backorder. They were always quick to respond when we made inquiries on scheduling progress. Once work began progress was fairly quick. Demolition happened fast. The rest of the project wasn't fast, but it wasn't excessively slow either. Overall, it took about as long as they initially predicted (7 weeks).
The quality of the work is excellent. The tile work is superb. The cabinets and countertops look beautiful. The wainscoting is really distinctive and well-constructed and fit.
They ran into several snags with old wiring and were upfront about the problems and costs to remediate. We feel much better knowing that all the wiring is now up to code. A few times we had some issues with the quality of some of the subcontractors and K2 was very responsive to the feedback.
As the project was proceeding they floated ideas for how to save money to offset some of the overruns on wiring, which we appreciated. We changed our mind a few times on a couple of the design elements and they were patient and accommodating.
If we ever add a bathroom to our house in the future we will definitely use them again.

"Overall we were pretty happy with our new custom closets from
Saint Paul Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
Cabinets. The Good. The company was very responsive and we have a nice looking finished product. I worked with
Saint Paul Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
, who was really good- responsive, professional, and helpful. She worked with a design idea I came up with and tried to accommodate my, and my wife's, ideas. She tried to help reduce costs where she could and give us the various trade offs. The Cons. A custom closet is expensive and SCVC is not necessarily any different. I have worked with a general contractor in the past that I feel did a pretty good job for less money, but he was not able to do this job so we went with SCVC. I know we ended up with a superior product than what we would have gotten from a Home Depot or Lowes product, but it was a pretty big differential from those prices so tough to know if the trade off is worth it for everyone. Ultimately, I think it was for us and if you want anything truly custom (we had them do a built in shelf unit that turned out VERY nice) I would say SCVC would be a good option. Beyond pricing concerns, part of the issues we had with the final product were around design concerns. So, admittedly, I am partly to blame since these were my original ideas. These were mostly areas where I wish I could have done things differently but it was too late after the install. In some instances I wish SCVC would have seen the issue arise since they do these closets pretty frequently, but neither of us caught it in the drawings (or maybe they didn't think it would be an issue.) Examples of these are tough to explain without pictures, but relate to not optimizing space and adding what I saw as superfoulous pieces of wood that take away from the total usable space. Again, not major drawbacks, but areas I certainly wish I could have done differently. In the end we have really nice closet and my guess is my wife and I are the only ones that will notice the drawbacks in the finished product (unless we were to point it out)."

"Excellent. I should've had the professional painters come AFTER the construction, but that is not the way my life happens.I have stunning hand made and exquisitely installed wainscotting. My house looks better than it ever was.His designs are so functional. We are really happy with his work ethic, his ability to listen and come up with workable design solutions that make so much sense, and his attempts to keep stuff clean.(OK truth be told, his work area is cleaner than the rest of our house).
We also really appreciate his contracts. We have been severely burned by contractors before.
Saint Paul Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
writes everything out in detail.2 copies that we make changes on together so that everybody knows exactly whats included.Very reassuring. And then he goes and adds little extras-I think he just can't help himself(extra heavy-duty hinges, small area repairs). Overall a generous and hard working, talented design-installation-carpenter

"Woodie did the best job a man could do. His work was better than the image I had in my mind of what the finished project would look like. You can't do better than that."

"perfect, we were very happy. I really like that he is so careful with the bids and contracts - we all update them together andkeep abreast of changes so we know exactly what we are getting. Very professional and careful. I also like that he uses extra heavy hinges and things, the work really feels like it will last a lifetime, as it is meant to."

"
Saint Paul Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
was very prompt and communication with him was quick and easy. Out of all the contractors that we worked with on the numerous aspects of our remodel, our experience with him was the best one. We will definitely call him for any future projects. Highly reccommended to anyone looking for custom wood work to be done."

"I contacted Northland through their website and
Saint Paul Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
responded the next day. We were able to do a lot of preliminary work by e-mail. SHe asked as lot of questions about layout, color preferences, design details that I wanted and so forth. She was able to advise whether some of my ideas would work with my space. She quickly designed a plan--and after that little bit of reality check, she readily designed something a lot more modest and within my budget. I visited the showroom a couple times and
Saint Paul Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
was always patient in explaining the different options and giving me time to make my choices. Once the proposal was signed things moved very quickly--2-3 weeks and the cabinets were installed. They use other companies to install the countertops, and that took a little longer.
Saint Paul Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
kept me informed of completion and installation dates. There was a glitch in the delivery of the cabinets--a few hours later than planned--but overall things worked out very well. After installation I notice some scratches in the (new) paint job on the bathroom walls--none of the workers could recall damaging the wall, but Northland offered to pay a reasonable sum toward the touch-up.
Before contacting Northland I had tried to work with 4 other businesses--2 never responded, 1 didn't listen to my concerns, and the last one referred me to Northland. I like the quality of their work, but I really appreciate their responsiveness. I know my bathroom was very modest compared to some of their jobs, but I was still treated like a queen.

"The bid was competitive, he gave us a start date and did start on time and continued throughout to complete the job as per an estimated finish date. They put down and removed tarps everyday, vacuumed and cleaned up thoroughly daily.
Saint Paul Cabinet Makers Provider Name Locked
is personable and exceptionally courteous. He kept us informed and sought our advice where there were options. Workmanship was excellent in every detail. This is the best contractor experience we have ever had. I highly recommend him without reservation."
