Saint Paul Auto Sales Reviews

D
"We had an overall disappointing experience. Late in the spring of 2011, we set out to buy a second car. My wife was to start a new job mid-August and would have to begin commuting. We quickly settled on a 2012 Ford Focus and came to
Saint Paul Auto Sales Provider Name Locked
, because they had one on their lot which nearly matched the options we wanted. That particular car was sold to someone else before we could reach a final decision. The salesman offered to order one exactly as we wanted, and we were assured the lead-time would work with the date we needed to take delivery by. (the stated lead-time was six to eight weeks, and we needed the car no later than the end of the eighth week from we we actually placed the order). We negotiated a price over the next several days. The salesman kept asking if we were planning on financing and we always responded that we weren't interests in financing; this would be a cash sale. We arrived a a pretty good price, which we got in writing. During the seventh week we got the VIN number for the new car and were told it would ship at the end of that week from Michigan. When we hadn't been contacted by the end of the next week we began to get nervous. Upon calling, we were told that the car was in a rail holding yard in the north metro, and the dealership expected to actually receive it that day or the next. It end up that the car arrived more than a week past our need-by date. The bigger problem came when we went to pay for the car. We had confirmed in advance that a personal check would be okay, and asked for a total price (negotiated price plus tax, title, and license). The salesman starting talking about financing (again) and once more, we told him this was a cash sale. He then informed us that his understanding was that we wanted to finance and his offer included a $500 rebate-to-dealer and he couldn't honor the price as a cash sale. He then "dug though" his email and couldn't find any point where we mentioned cash. Likewise, his messages never mentioned a rebate. He than told us "that all car dealership quotes always include all rebates whether specifically mentioned or not." We didn't want to finance, but we were trapped. We were frantic for a resolution that day, we really had needed the car starting a week earlier. We were also really frustrated at falling victim to the bait-and-switch. We did end up financing the smallest amount allowed under the rebate program and will pay it off this year."

Goduto.
Saint Paul Auto Sales Provider Name Locked
set up a time for us to come in, look at cars and take a test drive. When we arrived,
Saint Paul Auto Sales Provider Name Locked
took the time to show us the cars inside the showroom and there was no question he could not answer. Next, the test drive cars were already parked near the showroom and ready for us so no waiting. During the drives,

provided excellent insight into the specifications of features of the cars in language we could understand. He is a pleasure to work with.

"I think it went well. There was some initial back & forth but I came prepared with my file of info/costs for all the extras I put into my trade in. I was able to get better trade in money plus added running boards. The salesman was pleasant and helpful."

"I did research on the internet and narrowed it down to several makes and models. I went to several different dealerships looking at those cars and comparing them. I selected the Altima as this dealership. They were very professional. I have dealt with this dealership before so I stayed with them. The buying process was easy and they do not go into alot of haggling. I deal with them straight on price and they deal with me straight back. The service has been good and I have always been able to get my car in to get it fixed right away. Nothing extraordinary but good service."

"We talked to the internet sales people because that is who we had been talking to previous. The cars were not at the lot but we drove down to the Maplewood lot. We test drove two cars and didn't like them. They drove a third car up from another lot and we test drove it and loved it."

"I was up front with them in that I have never purchased a new car before and I also informed them that I wanted a Camry. I felt that
Saint Paul Auto Sales Provider Name Locked
was impatient with me because I didn't know if I wanted a 2006 or 2007. He didn't seem like he wanted to help me because he was answering his phone. They didn't have the car I wanted, but found one in a small town in Wisconsin. I told
Saint Paul Auto Sales Provider Name Locked
that I wanted one from here instead, but he said I would have to wait 3 weeks. I purchased the car from Wisconsin, but I didn't know that it would have approximately 400 miles on it. I asked for a discount because it had miles on it and
Saint Paul Auto Sales Provider Name Locked
blew up and said he wasn't going to work with me anymore and would turn me over to a manager.
Saint Paul Auto Sales Provider Name Locked
was rude and inappropriate in making a statement about me to another associate in front of myself and my grandson. His supervisor,
Saint Paul Auto Sales Provider Name Locked
, handled the situation very professionally and he assigned me to another associate.
Saint Paul Auto Sales Provider Name Locked
also offered me free oil changes for a year.

"I bought my second
Saint Paul Auto Sales Provider Name Locked
from
Saint Paul Auto Sales Provider Name Locked
.
Saint Paul Auto Sales Provider Name Locked
knows his product and his customers. I was not clear on what I wanted to replace my old
Saint Paul Auto Sales Provider Name Locked
, and he was patient, listened, didn't pressure me, and ultimately found the most perfect car for me, as he had the first time four years ago. He also gave a fair deal on my trade-in. Honesty and car salesman aren't always used in the same sentence, but in this case it really is true. My best friend may be a Volvo dealer, but our family will only buy cars from
Saint Paul Auto Sales Provider Name Locked
!

"My wife and I spent 3 months looking for an Acura MDX. All the Acura dealers had were "very used" cars - dents, scratches, stained upholstery. A friend told us about a positive buying experience with
Saint Paul Auto Sales Provider Name Locked
. I called
Saint Paul Auto Sales Provider Name Locked
to see if he could find an MDX for us. Within 2 weeks, he called and had 3 options for us. The buying experience was perfect - no pressure, high quality cars, informative sales people.
Saint Paul Auto Sales Provider Name Locked
put new Michelins on for us, repaired a scratched LCD screen, and promised to fix a small flaw we found 2 weeks after our purchase! After spending a few months with the Acura Dealers and their worn-out inventory, it was a pleasure to meet a company as concerned about quality as I am. I will definitely buy from
Saint Paul Auto Sales Provider Name Locked
again.
