His diagnosis suggested two possible part failures - a 90% probable one and a 10% probable one. After I accepted the estimate, he went out to his van for the part, which proved to be the same part as the factory original, not a cheap 'equivalent' part. "Plumber came out and pulled a bottom panel off of the dishwasher. After 5 minutes he said that I had 3 leaks. One in the dishwasher appliance itself which he couldn't fix since he was a plumber and not a repairman. Another leaking point he said was a rusting out garbage disposal. The third leaking point he referenced was from the accessory spray ...more nozzle on the sink. He wrote out his estimate and handed it over for my approval. UNBELIEVABLE !!! You couldn't even make these prices up. New disposal with installation $649, my favorite... spray nozzle head and hose $212 !!! And for my initial problem, he couldn't fix it but was willing to disconnect the dishwasher, bring it to their repair shop for the actual repair ($ not included) and re-hook it up for a modest $516!!! Then without prompting he offered to replace the regular sink facet with a new one for $588. I then realized that the leaking dishwasher was left on and leaking all over the floor to which he said, "is it?" from his still seated position. He asked me what I thought and I said I restraining myself said that I would pay the trip fee of $52 only. I then asked for the estimate saying it was in case I changed me mind but in reality to have some proof of the outrage!! I can't believe how predatory this pricing is and that some unsuspecting old ladies might have actually paid some of this. I checked the disposal for signs of leak or wear and found none including no rust! My wife had used the spray nozzle prior to his arrival to clean the sink and had no doubt gotten some water on the house. I tried but was unable to reproduce the leak he said we had. So I'm left with my original problem, less the $52 service fee. Still stewing hours after the guy left. Bonfe's is abysmal !!' Update - the company did send me a check for the $52.00 service fee."
