"We had a bad leak coming in near one chimney and a slow leak on the other. The previous roofers had installed the flashing exactly wrong and were actually directing water into the attic. gave the lowest bid by over $600. They came out, did both chimneys in one day. The job looks great, and for the whole winter (and this crazy wet spring) we've had NO water in the attic or living room. They did a great job cleaning up, you'd never have known they were there except for the new flashing. I would definitely recommend ."

"They honestly told me that I was asking for something I could not benefit from and I appreciate their honesty. Instead they offered what they thought I could use. I asked them to estimate a ridge vent for my roof, but due to the construction of the house, we cannot benefit from that until we put on a new roof and add vents at the low end of the roof. They explained how to do it right and that I should not purchase the ridge vent as it would not add the benefit I would expect. I very much appreciate their honesty, as had they estimated it, I would likely have had it installed."

"My roof was leaking and, based on the glowing reports here on Angie's List, I called . The office person said someone would be calling me to schedule an appointment to look at the roof and make an estimate. I kept waiting for someone to call (I believe it was 1-2 weeks), and then, out of the blue, I got an estimate in the mail. I have never had any service person just drop by, look at the property (did they even get up on the roof?), and make an estimate like that with no one at home. I really regret that I didn't get other estimates, but I was just very anxious to get the roof fixed so that it didn't leak again.
A couple of weeks later I was standing on my back porch and noticed a work truck driving slowly down the . Sure enough, it was . They had not called to let me know that they were coming to fix the roof. Luckily I was home, so I could unlock my gate and let them in. One worker asked where the leak was, the other said, "No, it's just maintenance." So I wasn't really sure they even knew what they were supposed to do to my roof. They went up on the roof, I went inside, and 45 minutes later, they were packing up their truck to leave!!! I couldn't believe that 1.5 manhours of labor and a small amount of materials cost me $1260! Plus they put into the contract that they could not guarantee the work because of the condition of my roof.
I feel the price was exorbitant for the time spent and the company is unprofessional in not even communicating when they will show up."

"Great. 's price was in the "middle ballpark" of 6 Angie's List companies I had bid the job. I chose them. I have a 3-story "end-unit" townhouse. My was getting leaky (original roof from 1978 construction). Fascia had a lot of rotted and squirrel-chewed areas. Gutters old and decrepit looking.
They replaced (at my request) all my fascia and the roof and gutters. Also (at my request) replaced the various "rrof vents" (not that the old ones were "bad" - but they "looked old" and weren't expensive to replace so I had them done as well.
They used two crews to do the work - a roof crew followed up by a fascia/gutter crew. The roof crew strarted early on a Monday morning and was done in two days. A couple days later the fascia/gutter crew came in and finished in 2.5 days. All the crews were friendly and professional, and answered questions I had while they were on site.
I am very happy with the end result; and will be calling them to bid on some other exterior work I have planned."

"After a nasty midwest winter I noticed in or Feb that the spot was leaking again in EXACTLY the SAME location. I called them back. Despite the fact the leak was in the exact same location and despite the fact upon inspection the roofer was able to see that the patch had buckled he told me that the leak was actually coming from a different location 2 feet or so down slope from the previous patch. (A leak in that location would have been dripped into the adjacent room). They patched that spot as well and charged me an additional $75.00
Additional prior to call for roofing repair I had used a wet patch to stop the leak until I could get it repaired.
This wet patch is an oily, tar like substance.. After the initial repair and during the winter the residue from the wetpatch oozed down my siding. Easy enough to clean up. HOWEVER mentioned the stains on the siding and insisted it was a result of water damage. I am glad I am a hands on person familiar with my home repairs."

"This being my first experience with roofing, I got bids from more than 6 local roofing companies to ensure that I got the best quality for my money, and Ed's bid was by far the lowest. His bid also included a 30-year roof, as opposed to the 25-year roofs bid by every other company as well as replacement materials so there weren't any surprises when I saw the final bill. It wasn't a penny over what was bid. He came to my house and showed me, in detail, what was going to be done and personally supervised the installation. He knew that I was under time constraints to get the roof finished for insurance purposes, so on the first weather-permitting day, he and his crew started work and were done the next afternoon. The snow on the ground made clean-up difficult in the backyard, so they came back again after the snow melted and did a second clean-up to ensure that there wasn't any mess left. Ed is the owner of the company and his reputation is clearly important to him. He wouldn't accept payment from me until the work was complete and he was sure that I was happy and called a couple of weeks after completion to make sure I was still satisfied with the completed job. His company may not have many reviews on Angie's List yet, but I would recommend him to anyone in the for a new roof and encourage prospective customers to at least get a bid from him. I couldn't be happier with the new roof or the service I received!"

" was extremely responsive and flexible. He not only did the work that he said he would do, but he went above and beyond by installing an additional fixture (at no charge) to ensure the quality of his work. He is easy to work with and his price is reasonable. The quality of his work is top-notch and I would use him again and recommend him to family and friends."

"I was satisfied with all aspects of the work performed from start to finish. I would definitely use again in the future."

"I called after finding some water damage on the inside walls of a guest room closet. The closet has two outside walls and is part of a extension on the back of the house, so I wondered if it could be a leak in the roof, or from gutters, or siding. After reviewing companies in several categories on this list, I gave a call. I was pleasantly surprised that someone actually answered the phone rather than just having a recording. The person at listened carefully as I detailed the problem and said someone could definitely come look at it and I should expect a follow up call from one of their staff within a day or two to set up a time. The very next day I received a call from at and we made an appointment for the following day. showed up as promised, looked the closet over from the inside and went out to examine the roof area, gutters and siding surrounding the closet. He returned saying he couldn't really find anything wrong with the roof, gutters or siding that could be the cause of the problem. At that point I thought he?d give up, since it didn?t seem to be in his area, but he seemed genuinely to want to help in figuring out what had caused this moisture problem. In the end, an internal solution presented itself: the previous owners of the house had a custom closet built and when it was installed, they took the baseboards out of the closet so that the boards could fit close to the wall. In doing so they exposed a wide gap between the walls and the hardwood floor which could have been letting cold, damp air come in and over time it built up causing the moisture damage. went to his truck and returned with caulking that he thought would take care of the issue and proceeded to fill the gaps, at no charge. I really appreciate that he went the extra mile to help me find a solution to my problem."

"We have had leaking dormers for 20 years, hiring numerous roofing companies to repair them, and none have been successful for much longer than the warranty period (a complete roof replacement "solved" the leaks for a few years). I found through Angie's List last year after a recommended roofing company spent several years, numerous trips up the ladder, and countless tubes of caulk. They then decided on a "nuclear" option and gave me a take-it-or-leave-it quote for ~$1,700 which included replacing the 's window, all the siding, and all the shingles. solved the problem in a pretty short time, and then fixed the next (which was also leaking, but not as much).
The cost was $215! We saved $1,500 and had TWO dormers repaired. It's been almost a year without leaks.
and his wife were wonderful people people with which to work, and I will certainly contact them when I need any sort of home repair, service, etc.
Most highly recommended!"
