's driver backed into a tree which caused the electrical service to be pulled off from the side of the Seller's ...more house.
Moving did call the electric company who did come out and secure the electrical line off of the ground for safety reasons. However
Moving claimed that it was not their responsibility to reconnect the line to the house saying that it was the electric company's fault for having their line too low. The electric company claimed that the line coming from the pole to the house is the responsibility of the homeowner. As the real estate agent wanting the sale of house contract to go through paid an electrician $175 to have the line reconnected.
Moving said that they would submit the claim to their insurance company and that my Sellers would be hearing from the insurance company as to the status of the claim. To date, the issue remains unresolved. Although the actual move itself went well, it was
's driver who backed into the tree which caused the line to go down and I feel it is their responsibility to resolve this issue. "

"Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic service from
today! I also used
a few weeks ago and was very pleased with the moving services. The moving service I received was so easy and pleasant that I used
...more again today for my moving needs. Speaking with Myeasha on the phone to arrange our move was very pleasant. She's very, very helpful. We hired two movers with a truck with the Angie's List Big Deal from
. Keenon and
were our movers today. Both showed up on time with smiles on their faces. They were both very friendly, polite and professional. Keenon and
took great care in moving my belongings and they did so in a timely manner. I've worked with moving companies before that drag out the move to benefit them, but
didn't do that. They were quick and careful. I can tell they really care about the customer and they provide excellent customer service. If I need moving services again in the near future, I will definitely be contacting
again. I will also request Keenon and
again. They took all the stress out of moving. Great workers!! Thanks! "

"nice big truck and two 20 something college kids. very nice kids and did their best. didn't wrap furniture as well as i would have hoped and a few delicate pieces were nicked, so you might want to oversee that process. both worked really hard to fit a couch in the basement that just would not fit, but i really appreciated the strong effort.
"My sister and her friend moved here from out-of-state. I hired
to handle unloading the U-Haul truck on this end. When they lifted the back door of the truck, I almost fainted at the amount of stuff they had brought. I had in no way been prepared for the sheer volume of stuff, nor was
. Nevertheless, the three of them handled the situation with understanding and grace, rolling up their sleeves and doing what was necessary -- even when the freight elevator broke down in the middle of the move! These guys finished the job, even though the time spent was way more than allotted, with such cheerfulness and good humor it almost made me weep. I can't say enough about them. I've used
before with success, and will again, but this three-man crew, directed by
"I contacted several of the top rated moving companies on Angie's List. I found
to be professional, reliable and courteous. They provided me with what I thought was a very fair estimate, and I was pleasantly surprised that the total cost of my move actually ended up being slightly lower than my ...more estimate. They were accommodating, packing my things on a Sunday, and delivering them promptly the day after loading. Unlike many of the other companies, they did not charge extra for working over the weekend or when the load/unload took longer than expected. I found this to be very professional, and it really helped reduce the stress of moving.
provided a fixed estimate of the moving cost and were courteous and professional even when they ran into difficulties at both of my apartment complexes regarding elevator usage and rude building staff. They also drove my car down to Dallas for what I thought was a very fair price. My things arrived to my new apartment in the same condition they left my old one, which was a big relief. I would definitely recommend
"This was a two day move with three truck loads. Because our house is on a busy street, the movers (
, Undray and Tarus) had to carry the three truck loads of our belongings the length of two 100 foot lots and then up the driveway. Both days were hot and the movers never complained and actually did their ...more work cheerfully. Nothing was lost and nothing and was damaged. They were very protective of our floors and walls. The carpet going down into the basement was soiled in several places, however,
had a professional carpet cleaning service here within days and the stains were completely removed. This is the second move
has done for us and both were exceptionally well executed. Everyone from the office personnel to the movers seemed to go out of their way to accommodate our needs. "
"This moving company is great. We were extremely satisfied with our move and had no issues. The office staff was able to provide all information necessary, answer all questions and provide us with tips to make the move go as smoothly as possible on moving day. They guys and the truck arrived on moving day as scheduled. Everyone was very professional, ...more hard working and took a great deal of care in moving our stuff. They had plenty of shrink wrap and moving blankets to wrap anything and everything that needed to be protected. They were willing and able to un-assemble and reassemble any pieces of furniture that I didn't want to tackle myself. My overall expectations for this move were exceeded and I found their cost to be very reasonable compared to the level of service and pride that they put into my move. "
moving company through our entire moving process. They were very accommodating to us when we were making our deposit & when the crew shoes put o load the truck they were so polite, courteous & fast. They were very careful with our belongings, & we were nervous, some things are irreplaceable! ...more They did a fantastic job. When the truck arrived at our new house, those poor boys worked in the rain, wiped our things down when they came in, carefully protected our white carpets and we're very cautious with the walls. They were wonderful. Taurus &
were very polite, I was just so happy for that! They are good boys &
is a wonderful company to work with, affordable & professional! Thank you! "
"I have used professional movers 7 times in the past. This is the first time that I have not given them a tip. It went that badly. I picked
moving because of their reviews on Angie's List. I ended very disappointed.
The woman on the phone that made the reservation pushed repeatedly to get me to hire 4 men and 2 trucks. ...more I told her multiple times that wasn't necessary. (I've done this before). Considering that I've already packed all of the boxes myself, and a large majority of my belongings were being donated, therefore not being moved, I wouldn't need a 2nd truck (I was asking for the 3 men and 1 truck to speed things along.). She continued to push that "based upon her estimate" I would need the second truck. I didn't want it. I told her that more than once. Again she told me I would need 4 men and 2trucks. I told her that my house is in the city and there wouldn't even be room to park 2 trucks. She actually said, " well they can park it several blocks away and that way it's there if they need it." I told her that I didn't want to pay for 2 trucks when I wouldn't even come close to filling the first. Besides why would I pay the additional fuel charges?. I just wanted the 3rd guy to help speed things along. It was actually one of the stupidest conversations I've had in while. Finally she grudgingly completed the reservation for 3 men and 1 truck. I should have listened to my gut and called back to cancel them.
They were punctual in the beginning. Showed up in the morning when they said they would. Watching the truck pull up in front my heart immediately sank. Out came 2 scrawny looking older guys in their 50's with cigarettes dangling from their mouths. ( these were my professional movers). The driver was younger, quicker and more professional. He was the only one all day that pulled his weight.
These guys took FOREVER. I was so quickly annoyed watching them work. One small piece at a time would slowly walk out of the house. Then there would be the cigarette break in the truck. Over and over throughout the course of the day I would say to myself WHERE ARE THEY?, and they were clustered in the truck smoking and playing on their phones. The third guy that I paid extra to have there in order to make the entire move go faster stayed in the truck the entire time. I'm not kidding. He stayed in there folding and refolding blankets and smoking. I only saw him out of there once or twice. One of which he went into the bathroom at the storage place and was in there for 45 minutes. I know this because I needed to use it and was timing him.
I have a lot of antiques which the woman on the phone assured me would be professionally wrapped in shrink wrap and blankets. She told me that the quilted blankets were 7 dollars each. When I noticed that the movers were not wrapping or protecting my antique furniture, I said something to which they only wrapped a piece with the shrink wrap if I reminded them to (if I didn't visibly see them take a piece out, then they put it in the truck without it. Then they made a huge deal out of telling me that the (obviously used and re-used) blankets they had were "50 dollars each "and since "that adds up quickly" that they wouldn't charge me for the few that they did use. They made a huge show out of telling me that they weren't going to charge me for these crappy blankets several times in an obvious attempt to make me think I was getting something for free and tip them large sums of cash at the end. If I hadn't been so annoyed at how slow they were at this point I would have just laughed in their faces at them thinking I was that stupid.
Did I mention how slow they were? One guy would carry a single dining room chair. A very light chair. 2 can easily be carried at one time, but no, back and forth with one chair at a time. And a cigarette break in between. Then one box at a time. Never saw a dolly. They were determined at the beginning that they were going to milk this for the entire day. The owner of my storage place even mentioned to me that I was being ripped off.
When it was time for the payment at the end which, amazingly took 8 hours (surprise surprise), the guy even had the nerve to say they " worked 8 hours with no break." Considering they were on one perpetually long cigarette break and cell phone break, I just rolled my eyes internally. I honestly really just wanted them gone. There wasn't any point in saying anything.
Moving turned an already stressful situation was turned into a major hassle and my stress was quadrupled. I would never use them again or recommend them to anyone. I rated them an F for price because although their quoted rates are reasonable and competing, the entire job took TWICE as long as it should have. "
"They were friendly, mannerly, and diligent. They protected all my furniture with wrap before loading them onto the truck. They included me in on placement of my things once at my new residence. They drove by the residence the day before delivery to make certain they were at the correct place. The only thing the did not do was set their clocks ahead ...more to eastern time. So, they were late arriving for delivery the next day. We had a good laugh about the time difference. Something easy to do is not know about the time change. And, I was not inconvenienced in any way.
