He has the ability to explain in a clear voice all the chemo choices and their side effects. I don't feel overwhelmed when deciding what treatments to use. (I have moved up a ladder of more aggressive chemos.) He always asks about my health in general, how I am feeling, and doesn't mind listening to most mundane details in my answers.

We accomplished a great deal. We discussed a new procedure for fecal incontinence called InterStim therapy, and since at the time no doctors in St.
did it, she wrote me a referral, while I was there, to a leading advocate of the procedure in Minneapolis. She also printed out an article for me about the procedure. We also discussed why I was not a good candidate for a more established treatment, and ileostomy. Finally, she also went over with me some information on my upcoming colonoscopy. Because I have IBS, I have to do some extra prep.

I began seeing Dr.
Saint Louis Internists Provider Name Locked
in January 2012 because of ongoing gastrointestinal problems and for general medical care. He seems to listen well to what I have to say and proceeds accordingly. I have seen him several times over the last few months and have never felt rushed. I think one of the things I like best is his willingness to communicate through the secure email set up by Mercy Medical Group. We have exchanged quite a few emails, particularly as I was preparing for abdominal surgery in May, and he was always prompt and courteous in answering my questions.

we've been with her since we've been in St.
Saint Louis Internists Provider Name Locked
which is 13 years. It was by luck that we singled her out because of our insurance coverage and we went throught he list and picked her. We actually picked a woman because our experience in the past has been better with woman doctors as opposed to

. She takes care of her patients. Even when I was very sick at the hospital, she was on top of things. Her nurses and physicians assistants tend to stay around if they're good and the bad ones don't.

Dr.

is always pleasant and thorough. He is very alert and has an excellent memory of my problems and conditions. I have been a patient for about ten years and have been very satisfied. Blood and urine tests can be done in the office and be covered by insurance. Most other procedures (x-rays, endoscopies, etc.) can be done in the Center for Advanced Medicine (

) of
Saint Louis Internists Provider Name Locked
University where is office is situated. I have not experienced unnecessary tests being done, nor have I experienced recommended ones being skipped. My impression is that best practices are always followed. Since I see Dr.
Saint Louis Internists Provider Name Locked
regularly, the next appointment is always made while I am there, and I never have problems getting an appointment.

At first I was put off by the front desk staff who seemed to me to be protecting themselves from patients rather than serving their needs, with long lists of things they don't do, restricted phone hours, etc. But I don't really need the things they don't do (such as give out sample medicines when you don't have an appointment, and faxing prescription renewals to mail order pharmacies), and I have adjusted to their phone hours, though they are a nuisance for people are not supposed to make personal calls from work. They are small cogs in the machinery of a giant medical organization, and since the quality of the medicine practiced is the best to be had in this country (the

University School of Medicine is usually in the first three in the annual ratings), one puts up good-humoredly with the occasional minor glitch, which often involves changes (possibly arbitrary and sudden) in the many insurance plans they have to deal with. Face to face the staff is much nicer than on the phone.

I would have loved it if this office had had some late hours or Saturday morning hours when I was working. But early appointments usually helped me out, and now that I am retired it really doesn't matter.

He is very good. I feel that he is very competent in what he does. He looks at all aspects of a possible disease situation. He is cautious and he always tries to ensure that I’m kept as reasonably healthy as I can be. He has a very pleasant and easy manner. He is answers questions and is very easy to talk to. He is always available. I would use him again in the future if I needed to.

Dr.

is very open, friendly and caring...she listens, takes notes and takes action. Orders tests as needed and does followup. I have a long list of medical problems and she has been there to monitor meds, refer to specialists and review results.

She is extraordinary. She is knowledgeable. She really engages you when you are in your office. She asks the right questions and she LISTENS. She is caring and compassionate.

My only complaint is not a complaint. . I make my appointments six months ahead of time. . because it is difficult to get in to see her. (That's because she is GREAT!!)

I was seen promptly at my appointment time. The nurse took my vital signs and spoke with me about symptoms and concerns. Dr.
Saint Louis Internists Provider Name Locked
followed and reviewed my concerns and examined me. She is very open to communicating with me about my concerns and looking for answers. I do not want to be prescribed a pill every time I have a concern and that is why I like Dr.
Saint Louis Internists Provider Name Locked
's practice. She takes the minimalist approach first (which I requested) and works from there. If that avenue doesn't work then we look further for answers. I am happy to have all my basic care, including well-woman check ups with one physician. It makes me more inclined to stay up with my health issues. They have even called and instructed me to change a medication as there was a warning sent out about a possible drug interaction which had just been send out by the FDA. I was impressed how quickly they took the warning seriously. Dr.
Saint Louis Internists Provider Name Locked
is a relatively young physician yet experienced enough to deal with any medical issues or be wise enough to refer when necessary. I am thrilled to be able to coordinate my health care close to my home.

Dr. Groesch came highly recommended by several friends whom work in the medical field. He has consistently been a good listener, asks questions, provided thorough care. When I have called the office with questions, requests or refills, his assistant,
