came out to look at my furnace. It was not working and I was without heat. He ran some test and determined that it perhaps needed a new circuit board. I proceeded to go out to the
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
to see if he had one one had. I found this odd considering I called the company before hand and the secretary told me that they always have these on their truck. Before he left I asked him how the blower looked. He replied that he had not looked at it. I was frustrated that he had not done a thorough inspection before attempting to replace the part. Upon inspection (at my request) he discovered that it needed a new blower as well. Based on the repairs I decided to have a new unit installed. We scheduled an appoint for the install for two days later. I wanted to be home the date it was installed so I took the day off work. The morning of the install an emergency happened at work and I ended up needing to come in. I called the office on an emergency an hour before my scheduled appointment for the install and left a message asking if I could reschedule. Nevertheless
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
showed up anyway. Luckily my boyfriend was at
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
home and I elected to have the unit installed anyway. My boyfriend needed to get going to work as well so he left them there to install the unit. I called and talk to the technician while my boyfriend was there and asked what to do about payment since I didn't leave anything because I didn't know they were coming. The technician said I could be billed and he also said to call the office and talk to
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
about it. I called the office and talked to
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
initially he was very nice and helpful and we agreed that when I went on my lunch break I would go by the house and look at the unit. I told him that I didn't feel comfortable paying for work that I had not seen and he seemed fine with that and we agreed that I would pay with a credit card by phone after I was able to look at the installed furnace. The technician called my boyfriend and myself to say the work was completed. My boyfriend went by to have a look and was pressured by the technician into providing a payment even though I had already talked to
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and agreed that I would pay during my lunch break which was a measly 2 hours from when the work was completed. My boyfriend called me saying the technician insisted I pay now. I called
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
thinking there must be some misunderstanding and the technician probably didn't get the memo from
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
. I called the office and spoke with
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
and said I thought we agreed that I could pay in a couple of hours when I had time to drive home on my break and look at the work. He said well your boyfriend said it looks fine. I explained to him that yes the gentleman at this house is my boyfriend but I OWN the home, not my boyfriend. My boyfriend doesn't even live there. He said well we are done so you have to pay. So if I would have left a 12 year old at home he could say thy job was satisfactory. My boyfriend was there simply to open the door for you. don't get me wrong I was in no way trying to put off paying. It's not a lot to ask to inspect work upon completion especially since your tech showed up even though the appointment was cancelled. They wanted payment immediately yet it took two hours to fax me my receipt and that's after I called to request it a second time. Once I arrive home there was a nice receipt on my counter that said Paid "customer to call with credit card number doing her lunch break". Way to keep your promise
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
. It's unfortunate that money is this company's number one priority and not customer service.

"Arrived at home to find my house freezing after returning from work. I had heat when I left that morning. Called the office and spoke with
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
to make an appointment. I chose the Antom's based on their reviews and discounted diagnostic fee.
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
was very friendly and helpful over the phone. An appointment was made for the following day.
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
arrived at the designated time. He introduced himself. He was also friendly and professional. He examined my unit and did a series of test. He started off by telling me that my unit was very old and past it's life expectancy and I needs to replace it. This did not sit well with me. This type of sales pitch always annoys customers because it makes us feel like the company is just out for more money. I'm well aware of how old my furnace is considering I've lived in my home for over 5 years and have had it worked on quite a few times. At least tell me what the issue is before you try to sell me a new furnace. I asked around how much a new furnace would be and he told me to contact the office to find out an exact price. We moved on and he told me that I needed to have a new capacitor, circuit board and to have the blower cleaned. He gave me the estimate for the work and the prices seem pretty inflated compared to what I'm used to. He also included the price for replacing a water heater dryer vent pipe. Not only were the prices inflated but he was trying to get an additional $300 out of me for a product that he wasn't even there to look at! Even if I would have decided to let him fix the problem with the circuit breaker he did not have the part with him on the truck and I would've had to wait an additional 1 to 2 hours for him to go and get it and come back to complete the repair. Meanwhile I had to be at work in the afternoon. Since he couldn't put the part in anyway, I decided to contact another company. They came out causing me to have to pay another service call which is certainly not
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
fault but you should be able to trust the first company so that you don't have to call a second company. The second company did diagnose it with needing a new circuit breaker but said the blower looked fine and did not need to be cleaned. The second company also diagnosed it with needing a new blower motor I'm not sure why
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
did not diagnose this but diagnosed that my dryer needed a new vent. Perhaps more attention should've been paid to the actual reason why they were there in the first place. Rather than put more money into my older unit then it was worth I did decide to go with a new unit. The second company that I had come out gave me an estimate on the spot. I called
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
back to see what their estimate was. A young lady answered the phone and took my information and said one of the technicians would give me a call back shortly to give me a estimate. Someone called me back and wanted to schedule an appointment to come out and take a look at the unit. I did not see why that was necessary considering someone had just been out to my house and they have all of the information on my current furnace in the paperwork. My house had been without heat for a week. Considering the circumstances obviously I wanted my new unit put in as soon as possible so a second unnecessary visit was not what I had time for.

"I moved into a new home the end of December only to find that the condensating furnace was draining to the outside - which meant that it was freezing - I had to keep pouring hot water on it, etc. I called several companies connected to my home warranty and the original furnace installer and none of their solutions made sense as they all suggested keeping it outside. Then I called
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
, whom I'd used several years before. The repair person offered me two good solutions to choose from. He ended up connecting a new drain hose of copper tubing and running it properly INSIDE the house. He was smart, quick, honest, and efficient.

"I called for an estimate on 1-22-14 and told
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
Young what I thought I wanted. We made an appointment for 1-23-14. He arrived on time, looked at the area, agreed that a vent could be installed in the bathroom. I asked his advice about the fact that the second floor bedroom didn't get as much cool air from the air conditioner in the summer as the rest of the house. He investigated and found that one vent was disconnected and agreed to have his serviceman repair that. He also advised me to add more insulation in the attic and suggested a provider he had used successfully. That provider is also a highly rated on Angie's List so I made an appointment. I also asked his advice about our water heater because it is old and runs out of hot water quickly. He advised me to turn up the temperature a little but also gave me a price for a new water heater when I am ready. The estimate for the two vents was for $155. He made an appointment for his serviceman to do the work the next day. On 1-24-14 the service provider came at the agreed upon time, did the work as agreed, left the area clean, did the work within the estimated time limit. Both men were professional, pleasant, knowledgeable, and helpful. I have used this company for 35 years for all HVAC work, including a twice a year maintenance plan, which has kept our systems in great working order.

"The sales representative/owner was very professional and suggested several options after performing an inspection of my home to determine the proper HVAC system that should be installed. The installation team was timely, thorough, and very neat. They were professional in every way. They explained what safety items I should be mindful about and how the homeowner needs to monitor the various functions of the new system to assure best performance; i.e., filters, % of humidity on humidifier, etc.
I would highly recommend
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
to my friends and family.

"It went well overall. The installers were prompt, professional and courteous. They fitted the units in tight quarters. I had a technical question in response to a suggestion by the installer that I asked the manufacturer (
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
) but they refused to express an opinion. They suggested it might depend on local conditions and referred me to other (
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
) dealers who expressed differing opinions.

"I called about my furnace not working at about 12:30 PM. The technician showed up at about 2:00 PM, right within the window they quoted me (1:00 to 4:00). I explained the problem, and the swapped the switch, modified some settings on the blower and the furnace, and was on his way. He was pretty quick, and it ended up costing less than I was expecting it to.

"After our furnace stopped working, our home warranty company contracted
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
to investigate.
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
discovered that it had been installed without a flue pipe drain, which resulted in water buildup in the furnace, causing it to shut down. This was not covered by the home warranty plan, and he quoted us $325 to install a proper drain. I did not bid out this job as we needed it done quickly and the price seemed reasonable. We made an appointment on the spot for the following week (five days later) between 8 and noon. That morning, the company called at 7:30am and said that the technician would be at my home by 8:30.
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
arrived at 8:30, and the work was completed by 9:15. He was prompt, clean, and friendly, and our furnace is working well. Would definitely use them again!

"I used
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
during the summer of 2013 to install a new air conditioning unit and was very pleased. One of their technicians paid a service visit to my home in December 2013, for a regular check on my furnace. He found a significant crack and another piece that was broken. He patched the problem as best he could. A salesperson came out several days later (and even offered to come by on Christmas Eve) and spoke to me about the option of repair versus replacement. Since my existing furnace was 19 years old I felt replacement was the best option. I was able to schedule the install and had a new furnace within a week. The installers were punctual, friendly and professional. They installed a
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
furnace and their price was competitive. I have a service contract with
Saint Louis HVAC Contractors Provider Name Locked
for regular service of the A/C unit and furnace. I will definitely continue to use them and would recommend them to others.
