Everything was great. The staff was polite and easy to deal with. The nurses and everybody there prior to my surgery were very nice and helpful. They were very helpful with my family as well. Making sure they have everything they needed. They had a nurse specifically designated to my family. Anytime my family needed an update the nurse would walk in and ask and let my family know right away. The experience was AWESOME!!!

They are good and the only place I would go to. I go back to them only because they provide me with good service. It has been a very good relationship between the doctors and me. I know how they work and all my doctors there know me and how I work. The administration who I deal with has done very well. Sometimes I can get right through their emergency room and sometimes I cannot. The last time I visited their emergency room they did not do so well with it but it was not their fault exactly. I would use them again in the future.

Arrived at around 2:00 AM , After seeing the ER staff, taking a CT scan & Chest X-

fluid with what looked to have some paper stuck to it. I guess from the last person. As it looked dried. So much for a sanitary bed, The call button hanging on bed didn't seem to work, if I needed any thing I would have to get out of bed and verbally ask someone. When I asked about the food, was told i would be served when i got to my room.(Wrong) At this point, lunch had already been served, after complaining several times , My food came,

warm , The air bed was the most uncomfortable bed i ever laid in, after complaining they brought a 2 inch air powered cover to put on top, this helped a bit. My trash can still had waste in it from the last patient. not to mention the dirty bathroom, which look to have dried urine spots on the floor. One of the lights above bed didn't work, was told maintenance would change bulb, this was never fixed. If this were a Motel I would have asked for another room, or left . Later that night the nurse came in to inject something into my IV hook up in my right arm, It was clogged and didn't work, so she removed it and put an IV in my other arm. this worked, after the nurse left I felt some cold going down my arm, when I looked, blood from where she removed the IV was Bleeding down my arm, As I grabbed a handful of kleanex to stop the blood, dripping blood onto my bed, and the bathroom floor and sink. And was still on the sink & floor in the morning. The other person in room had to use the same bathroom with my blood on the sink and floor. When it came time to go to sleep they brought a C-

breathing unit in ,because I have severe sleep apnea, the headgear and nose piece didn't fit very good ,and the top strap would keep sliding off my head, Breaking the seal and setting off a loud alarm waking me and other patients up, all night long.I called the nurse to bring this to her attention, was told that was all they had, sorry. Along with all the other alarms going off all night. I was ready to leave at 4:00 AM but was very tired from loss of sleep. That morning when i got up to use the restroom and seen the blood still on floor & sink, and fighting with the C-

unit, I started to worry about what kind of mishaps were awaiting me in the test awaiting me. I was told they would be getting me up at 5:00 AM. to begin test on my

. As I awoke hours after that, I was ready to leave and that's what I did. But before I could leave, a group of nurses and the Doctor, came in trying to ,get me to stay. there answer was there is only 1 nurse on the floor and sometimes you just have to wait till they get time. This made me remember long ago when my Mother was in there hospital and the lady next to my Mom was trying to get a nurse, and DIED waiting on the Nurse, After hearing her take her last breath before dying. My Mom kept pushing the call button for the nurse who showed up 15 min's later to find this lady Dead. This had a profound effect on my Mom.This used to be a great Hospital but ever sense Wash U took things over, It seems they are going down hill. This has to be the worst night and day in my life. Now I have to go to another Hospital to find out what is causing pain in my chest,

The last time we used
Saint Louis Hospitals Provider Name Locked
was for an ER visit for my daughter. A few years ago, they were able to find the problem that was causing terrible pain in my wife's leg. Unfortunately, it was too late to save the leg, but no other hospitals could figure out the problem. They are through, professional, and take a great amount of time to talk with you. They really listen to what you're saying. We will definitely continue with them.

.I didn't care for the technician that was in charge in my case. She was not friendly and kicked me out in the middle of the night. She was diagnosing me even though she was not a doctor.

The ER can have a long wait time. Must be a staffing issue as they have over 50 beds in the ER, but probably not enough staff for them. But they are good at triage. If you present with chest pain, you immediately get an EKG in the triage area. If it is abnormal, you immediately go back for treatment. If it is normal, then you may have to wait a little while for a bed if they're busy, but while you're waiting they can insert an IV, draw pertinent labs, and do an x-

. This way most of the tests are back by the time you do get a bed and the doctor sees you. And if you are having a heart attack, they have a reputation of getting patients to the cath lab quickly for angioplasty/

. This is a much better approach then just giving "clot busting" drugs and waiting for them to work.

The ER doctors I've seen have been great. Patient and will listen to you. They recently uncovered a problem that two other facilities missed. The nurses and technicians have also been very friendly and helpful.

I wish they could be a little faster with non-life threatening illnesses, but at least I feel confident when I go there that they will be able to handle whatever the problem is. I can't say that about every hospital in the area.

This hospital did not set the correct bone correctly. He had to return for a second surgery to have a rod put in. I was OK with the surgery. But I got a feeling from the staff, that they were not happy there. It gave me a negative vibe. I was pleased with the doctors here though.

From the time he was admitted until the time he was released there was no communication. One floor didn't know what the next floor was doing. They lost my husband's charts. It was complete chaos. It was like one hand did not know what the other hand was doing. I would not use

again if I could help it.

Dr.
Saint Louis Hospitals Provider Name Locked
is great and so is his staff. They made sure that, when I had possible problems, they called to make sure I was doing everything I needed for my situation. He is very thorough. I know he has many patients, but he remembers each person by their face. That means something to me. I will continue to see him in the future and would recommend him to others.

The wait time was extremely long. They opened a new pediatric emergency room and once I got to that side it was better. The staff was very nice on the pediatric side.
