"After having another company estimate the job to replacing carpet in a master bedroom and sun room we went to Angie's list to see other contractors. We called 
on a Saturday morning telling him we were considering replacing carpet with hard wood and we saw his positive ratings on Angie's List. We told him we had looked at some hardwood samples but weren't happy with the other company's representatives. He immediately offered to bring over samples at our convenience the following week nights. We asked about coming to see samples and he directed us to ProSource (Fossil uses ProSource as the exclusive supplier). We went to ProSource and brought home a couple samples. came over the following week to measure and give us an estimate. He suggested lower priced flooring and offered to bring back samples with the estimates. He did so the next day. The samples were considerably cheaper and we set up installation for two weeks later when he had an opening in his schedule. stopped by the following day to pick up the check for the materials and pick up the samples. I then informed him that I was wrong on the availability of my wife to be home and asked if there was any way to move the installation up a week. He looked at the schedule and told us that he could juggle some new construction that wasn't extremely time sensitive to meet our needs.
He then brought the wood to our 3rd floor condo a couple days before the installation. He began the work on a Thursday morning and working alone he finished the job early Friday afternoon.
He was extremely courteous and great to work with during the entire process. We couldn't be happier. and get our highest praise.
If we change our office or other bedrooms to hardwood we will get Fossil back immediately!"

"Want to amend my previous negative report. Originally rated "F" as they did not return my calls. It turned out that, while the owner was on vacation, the answering service did not relay my messages. When realized the problem, he immediately called, apologized, and set up an appointment to give me an estimate. He was very professional and answered all my questions. The installation went very well: the installation crew was always on time, was obviously experienced, and paid attention to detail. The floors (character grade red oak with natural urethane finish) look beautiful! I would highly recommend ."

"You will not find a more knowledgeable or meticulous flooring expert than . His work is outstanding. I'm always referring him to others. After the floors were completely sanded, I had MAJOR a radiator leak (3 to 4 gallons) and the floors began to buckle. I called on the weekend and he called me back and told me exactly what to do; put fans and a dehumidifier in the room. Within a week, the floors dried out and the cupping went away completely. He came back and rebuffed the floor in the affected area and you'd never know anything happened. The finished product is better than I had hoped for! I recommend him without hesitation."

"I got several estimates mainly from all the top ranking refinishing co. from Angie's list. Some told me that I needed the floor replaced because the nail heads were showing, some told me that they had to replace several boards etc. came and gave me an estimate on the spot. He blew everyone else out of the water. I usually don't go with lowest estimate but my husband really liked him. He said is such a 'purist' he was confident that we would have good results with him. We scheduled the job for month later and JL showed up on time everyday finished promptly when he said he would and we ended up with an amazing looking floor for a fraction of a cost of replacement. The most interesting thing is that he somehow managed to make majority of squeaks go away as well, though he said he couldn't fix that prior to the start of the job.

" came out and explained the process of how his company would repair the floor. I had heard another company do the same and felt much more comfortable with 's plan of action. It took a second phone call to get the estimate, the first was lost in the mail. The appointment was scheduled in less than 1 week. and arrived early and were very professional explaining in detail the process. Since this was a patch of floor which needed to be redone I was concerned about the colors matching. used his expertise to match the color almost perfectly. They did a great job of blending the patch in with the rest of the floor and you can't even tell where the old and new begin and end. They left no mess and finished before the estimated time. (the quote was an hourly rate due to the type of job) I was very happy with the outcome, much better than I anticipated. It was great to find a great company that cares about even the little details on the little jobs!"

" , the owner, called back to set up an appointment in 2 hours after we called. He came, did the measurements and gave us his bid. The final price was adjusted down a little because we had to hire people to move furniture out of every room to be worked on (and later move furniture back). We have been in the process to sell our house. was flexible enough to put our house on priority list and they started the project within few days after we agreed on the final price.
They did a good job. My wife and I are happy with their work. The people came to do the job were nice. We particularly like the attitude of (the lead man). He really cares about customer's satisfaction. "

"After emailing the company with the job needed, I was contacted within 24 hours to set a date/time for a discussion of floor types and/or options for refinishing. The company walked through the properties to obtain a bid & relayed that info to me. They gave me a couple of options and discussed each with me thoroughly, along with the bids. Once I scheduled the work, the job(s) were completes within 3-5 days, depending on the size/steps needed."

"Everyone I worked with was professional and friendly. They gave me a quote that was significantly less than many other quotes I had received. I am very pleased with the results! Getting your wood floors re-done can be frustrating and messy! However, all staff I interacted with were helpful and I had very little dust to deal with at the end of the day. For the amount of time (3 days) and the quality of the work, I feel like it was a real value! Try these guys.....they may not be the company with all the advertising dollars but I don't think you'll be disappointed!"
