When the representative called me back, he informed me that he waited for me for 20 minutes and then left. This surprised me because I knew I was literally only a few minutes late. He then told me he had arrived at my house at 8:45am. When I told him that while I understood he had may have waited for me for 20 minutes, it wasn't my fault that he was there waitin 15 minutes before our scheduled appointment time.
Ultimately, I asked why he didn't just call me to ask where I was before leaving. After all, he had called me and taken my number when we originally set up the appt. He didn't have an answer. He then told me he didn't want to argue, he figured I just "stood him up" and that he gets "no showed" all the times. He said he was frustrated that he had "driven all the way to our house for a no show" and then said, "I just don't think I'm the right company for you."
I have to admit, that is one I have never heard before. If I told a customer in my line of work that I didn't want their business because they were 5 minutes late for a meeting, I would be out of business.
