10-12 days after they received the unit, I started wondering where the heck my PS3 was! It had to be on it's way back by now. I called and spoke to someone who told me he would track it down and call me back. He called back and said he had found it on the in-store-pickup shelf for some unknown reason. He also said that it was diagnosed as un-fixable right after it came in and it had been sitting there. We were very disappointed!! I do not fault them for not being able to fix our unit, but they should have contacted us right away. I mean, when you shell out $120+, you anxiously await the return of your device, right?!
They gave us the reasonable option of a refund minus shipping to ship our unit back to us, OR the choice for a full refund and our console would be recycled (and the hard drive sent back free). We chose the latter and ended up buying a used PS3
Overall, I definitely would use these guys again, mostly because of the UPS shipping option. That's great for 9-5 people like me who don't have time to run the unit in during the business day.
The tech-support number is in India or some other non English speaking country - I could not understand half of what the reps were saying and had to ask them to repeat what they were saying many times.
DO NOT BUY A MAGELLAN GPS!!!! The units are substandard - the service is non-existant - the company is unresponsive - AND - the "tech-support" is a complete joke!!!

I can't say enough good things about these folks: all businesses should operate this way. When I first contacted them about the needed repairs, they replied promptly. After every question I asked, I received a prompt, on-point, thorough answer. The things I needed done were not emergencies, so I told them that whenever they could find time they could do them. They promptly scheduled an appointment about 3 weeks in the future. I somehow feel that if I had had an emergency, they might have been able to get to me much quicker.
On the day of the visit, they arrived promptly, and found the townhouse and the visitor parking on their own. Both workers were intelligent, analytical, skilled, good listeners, thorough, efficient, careful and knew how to do everything on the list. They went to Home Depot on their own for supplies. We talked about one potential future project, not in the maintenance and repair category, and they said the would be able to do that as well (install new French doors). They were friendly and polite and a delight to have in the house.
I engaged them to do work on my daughter's house, which is in their service area. I am so impressed with them that I want to pay them travel time and mileage to work on my house (not in their service area).
I think the best thing about them is that they are able to do so many different things. If you have a whole list of things requiring different skill sets and find it discouraging to have to locate a group of different people and set up different appointments, I would definitely run everything past these folks first. They're outstanding.
